Busy, busy, busy!! . This is a good video for people who are considering keeping piggies for the first time. It shows just how much work is involved. They are not pocket pets, if you really want to do right by them and give them a good, healthy, life, then you have to be committed to putting the time in. Your herd is looking great ❤️

This was videoed before the quad was split up. I still wanted to use this footage because it all still is what I do in the morning and on a day off.

I use Gorgeous Guineas foot ointment, or you can use coconut oil.

Thanks so much for this vid! I just got a guinea pig and her name is Starbucks. I give her lettuce and one cherry tomato a week. I've heard they have a lot of sugar in them. I give her Timothy hay and pellets from mazuri. I'm new to this and I will be getting another piggy tomorrow. She's very active and eats regularly which I'm happy about. I refill her water every day and hand feed her veggies to bond. She's not ready to hold yet and is still a little scared. She is very kind and lets me pet her. Thank you again for this video! It really helped me!!! 💕
Hey skinnypigs1, I've been watching your videos for a few months now. I had an older Abyssinian piggy when I was 16. loved him to pieces. 11 years later, I'm preparing to buy two piggies to fulfill a promise I made to my teenage self (to own piggies as an adult!) wish I could have gotten my parents on board as a teen to get a c&c cage. I'm gonna do it right this time. I love watching your videos to brush up on my piggy knowledge and remember what it was like to care for them daily. Thanks for the info you give to both experienced and inexperienced guinea pig owners.

I have a similar routine. I only have 2 piggies though :D I have the same Poop scoop as well A small one and a big one just like the one you use. It definitely helps to spot clean and fully clean their cage. Nice to know im doing it all right ^-^

Can you please not speed up your cleaning like that, it's just the camera moves around a lot and can be kind of nauseating plus it's nice to hear you talk and watch the piggies
I said nothing the whole time I was sweeping up, I don't always have things to say and it was SO long the footage of just sweeping up, so didn't want people to get bored and click out.

U must have an incredibly weak stomach... it was not THAT bad. Lol and i for one find the sweeping tedious in real life. Last thing i want to do is watch someone else do it for 30 minutes after i just did it for 30 minutes.

My 4 year old pig has also just been given metacam and he will not seem to take it. Any advice as your beautiful piggies seem to love it lol. Great video once again💕
Most of the time you have to take them out of the cage and slip the syringe in the side of their mouth and make them take it. They do get used to it sometimes and then turn like my pigs, who take it easily.

I go once a week to take all the liners to get dried.

I was wondering now that you had to split up the quad because of nanimo's heath reasons, and nanok and bulseye are not hitting it off. Could you try to make a trio with nanok and little foot and pecan? When you were trying intros was nanimo the only piggie that nanok had a problem with or was she not getting along with any of them. (so sorry I know I probably have spelled your piggies names wrong..)

I have two Guinea pigs in an outside hutch inside of my room. Well, used to be room. It's basically the Guinea pigs house now aha. It's two floors and pretty wide. I also gave them a scurry area outside the hutch, and next to it. The Guinea pigs don't move outside the hutch corners. I also have two dogs and are soon getting two cats. Is this okay?

I have one of those multivitamins is it OK that I give my Guinea pigs a whole one each day or should I be giving them a half
Is up to you really! Giving 1/2 a day will make them last longer since they are expensive sometimes.
What are some of you experiences with bladder stones? Is there a video of yours on such topic?
I have had so many piggies finish up with bladder stones. I have totally cut out dark/strong green veggies, celery (ie high calcium) and fruit on older piggies. Am now also trialling only giving them water that has previously been boiled as I live in an area with high calcium water. Please always take your piggies to the vet as soon as you see blood in their urine. Piggies can be in a lot of pain without really showing it.

Hi Skinnypigs1 I love your channel. Do you think its weird if my guinea pig Jellybean keeps on chirping. everyone says they hardly ever hear it but i got her in june 2016 and have heard it so many times???
My vet says my Piggies don't need medicine or anything like that because they're all healthy and I make sure they're so so so healthy and I exercise them by playing in there play pin they are healthy so if I give them any of the medicines things they will just get sick so I can't do that

Great Video! I've always meant to ask this but why do you use the litter scoop instead of a traditional broom? is it easier?
Tasha Page I use the scooper on fleece, and the broom on the coroplast:)
i use kitchen scissors to cut my piggies hay tabs in half, much easier :)
@skinnypigs1 i have a boy guinni pig (Zuess) who as of now has a pet store cage 😒😞 I am planning on getting him a c and c cage. what size do you think would be good for him? and should i get him a playmate? im thinking about getting another guinni pig but should i get one? if so a boy or girl? i notice he pops at his cage and ive been doing alot of reaserch and seen that that can be a sign of boredom and loneliness. i have toys with him but he never wants to play with them. sorry for all the questionsbu t ive watched alot of your videos and thought you would be the lady to ask☺ and btw he is around 2 years old but maybe 3 he was given to me by a family member that couldnt keep him.
you should get him a boy playmate, but before that get a 2×4 cage and introduce them properly... he is probably bored because of the cage size, they don't really play with toys much, they like to run around more

How do you leave your Cisapride out? Maybe its compounded differently in the US but mine says must refrigerate and the vets office said if it was room temp for more than a couple hours it was no longer good.
No one every told me it had to be in the fridge and has always worked fine just being kept in the closet that is cooler than the room.

I use hay piles now. You will just have to see when you need to dump out the dusty bits that collect up.
