    Hi Matt
Many many thanks for this video.
After being winterized, swim spa was tripping, so I followed your well documented sequence of removing leads and retesting... then, on releasing the nuts on the heater, a small puff of white powder fell away from one terminal... which, after testing to prove the heater was causing the tripping and reconnecting with no tripping, appears to have been the problem. That small amount of corrosion was clearly causing the spa to trip.
I had called the supplier's who said it had to be either the control panel or the control unit but they were so busy they couldn't fit me in for 6 weeks and charge me a minimum of £144 ($180). You vid has saved me £... and the grandkids can visit for a dip next week after all... so £Thanks£ made above.
I will raise a glass to you this evening. 🙂
    Cheers
    Terry (UK)

Matt, I’m a member and have ? Our inflatable hot tub in an Avenli London inflatable spa. We purchased last August and now the massage or bubbles work but when you hit the heat and filter buttons it trips the test/reset and turns the pump off. I have kept the water clean and use bromine tablets in a dispenser. We have basically had the unit on heat and filter daily since we have purchased because we get in it a lot for our aching old bodies now….it is so hard to heat back up….it then usually trips the GFCI breaker on the wall where spa is plugged in to our pool house outside patio area…I have never descaled the pump or added descaled to water etc. we have however taken the filter out weekly and cleaned it or replaced it when it looks bad and it hard to clean after a few times cleaned. I use spa sanitizer, bromine, Calcium water clarifier for hardness and deformed…I have added some Alkalinity increaser in sometimes when water gets cloudy…what do you think this could be? We tried unplugging the cord and resetting and plugging into an outlet inside the pool house (3 prong) and same thing! I had started noticing that even tho temp was locked in on 104 F that it would only get up to 101 or 102..there are no jets inside just works thru air from outside pushed in…This control still works and we can circulate or turn the bubbles switch to on without it kicking anything! Help

Hi, Thank you for the comment. We are not familiar with those hot tubs. Did you get try and contact the maker?

Same problem here, it was the pump filter and bubbles working but the heater would flip the gfci, now the bubbles do it too. Not sure if this could be a wire issue or heating element, tried multiple outlets also. No customer support or videos out there unfortunately. I'd have to disassemble the whole tub to get to the heater element, everything is enclosed in a box inside the tub which requires draining and deflating it, removing all hoses etc to get the box out 😮

I had to change a gasket and I forgot to turn off the breaker. Now that I fixed the pipe that leaked. The breaker keeps tripping. Is there a way to reset it ?

The only way the tub works is by removing the pins for the jet off. Once I push it back in to the pins it trips

@@Adrndvla have to locate what is tripping the breaker and replace that part. Look for video on our channel for what's tripping your GFCI breaker.

What could cause the breaker to trip after a couple hours

      Is it consistent?

its a new install on a used hot tub. a hot tub guy came by apparently and tested each component of the hot tub. he thinks its the gfci breaker. the spa pack is the only new thing about the install

    • @VIPPoolsandSpas
      @VIPPoolsandSpas  Год назад +1

@@mikes7047 If it's consistent, then unplug each thing one at a time. Leave the one thing unplugged and see if it trips after. Leave the pump thats pushing the water thru the heater tube. Don't unplug that. If you have a ozone or blower, unplug that first. one at a time. Also. Whats the breaker amps and or GFCI breaker amps? Whats the amps on the new spa pack? (should say on the top of the spa pack)

My tub runs for about 5 minutes and then trips the breaker. I unhooked the heater and it ran good and didn't kick the breaker. Can I assume it is still the heater.

There's many reasons a hot tub might trip the breaker, this is only one of them.
