  • Don't be bamboozled by perspective. Perspective is not as difficult as it often is made to sound. Discover a key to understanding the overall concept of perspective which will make it our friend when we draw architecture, not our arch enemy. This is a particularly helpful understanding for beginners of architectural drawing to use perspective as the useful tool it should be.

You make me SO happy ! 🎉 After watching 2 perspective videos last night I have found the eye level in my drawing and my photo and was surprised at where is was !? By levelling the top of the doorway (that has been bothering me for days) the whole drawing now has the depth I was looking for !!! Everything else is falling into place ! Most helpful indeed ! 😊

Your series of videos on perspective are excellent, I’ve tried reading books but is always such a dry subject matter that I get bored and give up. These videos and the presentation method are so clear and easy to follow it has made it a pleasure to learn and there’s the bonus of seeing you apply it in real world contexts as well. Thank you

Thanks Sanders. I find making videos about the answers to the questions I’ve asked has proven helpful for lots of people. Glad you’re one of them. All the best using this in your drawing. 😀

i'm still confused, how to start the first line? is it measuring with a pencil first, then drag it onto the paper? or what?...if u have explain that in the video, at what minute? let me understand :) and i'm so sorry my language is still messy, hope u understand...thanks

I measure the angle of the first perspective line with my pen and then slide the pen onto the paper trying to keep the angle still. I observe where the line finishes from my starting point and usually put a dot to mark the spot. I then check the angle I have indicated with the reference again. If I’m happy with it I draw the line. If not, I repeat the process. I’ll explain it more fully in another video. Good idea. 😀
