Up until Sept last year we had a swift Sunday evening 630 with all the toys ,fully equipped for off grid and we loved it,but like Rob fancied a panel van my boss wasn't sure but did suggest we bought an older van and tried it ,we bought a swift mo dial 2010 model and we haven't looked back.its easier to get around d in ,far far cheaper on fuel and has everything we need,we were going to upgrade it but now I've upgraded to off grid and bike racks etc,we're keeping it,we are slightly older than you two but lyn keep an open mind because we miss nothing on the old van❤❤

On the Chausson, the straps under the bed are the bed raising mechanism, the handle in the cupboard is for winding the bed higher or lower for space in the garage.
Fairplay, they have some lovely vans there and really well presented …and that little Bessacarr with the back lounge, was my favourite compact just right 👌
Brilliant video as usual. Me and the Mrs watched it on the big TV. Definitely better than anything else on the TV! Will definitely look around this place. You are right when you say other motorhome places are never prepared with there motorhomes.😊

Love the u shape wrap around lounge. My favorite. A few years ago we had the fiat dicato trekka. Here in nz. With big windows in the lounge too. Was so love,y to put feet up and look at the views.

That first van for 85 grand was marvellous, plenty of room,for a brand new one,good price Cant get image of Lynn splashing about in the sink out if head 😅.
I loved the inside of the Chausson but like you both said, there are so many to choose from it’s hard to get it right. Totally agree with you on the net curtain front 🥴. Really like the two lounge areas in a couple of the Motorhomes. Great vlog guys, you had us both in stitches at how you bounce off each other with the comments 🤣

That silver handle in the cupboard was to wind the bed up Rob, the straps move it up and down via the hole you can see at the frame front where it says easy bed

I know everyone has different tastes, but having a lounge area at the back and front lounge is great, gives you two places to sit and relax, also if you get a drop down bed then even better, just an opinion, Best wishes! 😎.
Hi Rob the silver crank handle you saw in the wardrobe in the Cussion is to wind up and down the bed if you want more space in the garage and the plastic sutter moves with the bed , the hole at the front of the foot of the bed is were the handle goes into and the straps support the bed and wind with it going up or down they don’t connect to the rear door Ps can be a bit of an issue if you wind up with bed for short people like me Best wishes Giuliana and Roger
We have a chausson 720, fab van. The heating is diesel night heater, fantastic for off grid in winter and uses the tiniest bit of diesel so more economical than gas and gets hot very quickly .
If you want a panel van have a look at one like ours, Rapido Living Family Van. 5 berth, drop down bed, 4250 kg MPTL. If your going to buy any camper or motorhome, don’t buy British, the build quality is shocking
Great vlog. If you liked the Swift with twin lounges, you might also like the Mobilvetta Kea P80. I do think the market has topped out and I'm seeing more hanging around forecourts than for a long time plus the price of the of T6's is coming down with loads around.
Nothing like doing your research, our daughter & son-in-law recently bought a 27 ft motor home then a few weeks later saw a 30 ft one that they preferred so now they own 2, KIDS!
If you like looking at panel vans Rob, take a look at a Consort Oslo van - u shaped lounge, long wheel base, big fridge….just saying. No dealing with a middleman ie dealer just the manufacturer “you can’t whack it”!!! 😂
As for the Swift vans if there any thin like the caravan they are not very well made they tend to let water in I've seen a few people moaning about the quality I went for the Hymer pre-18 models as they were built to last I wonder how long the swift last time will tell
Don't like the vans especially with the back door. It would always worry me someone could break in. That washroom looked so tiny! Alot of money for a small space and secondhand. We have a K-yacht 80 with the rear lounge and 2 drop down beds, 1 each 😂, love our van. Not big, easy to park. Rear lounges are so convenient and makes for so much room with the beds out of the way!

We're with Lynn they might look nice but in inclement weather you're trapped in a small space, also our toilet is right at the rear of our caravan so unpleasant smells and noises are well removed from anyone else, within a big advantage !!! Sorry Rob but just cause you didn't get a kiss on your birthday there's no need to make Lynn suffer.
That’s a tough one, in our opinion you’d probably get more money If you sold privately but then again you’ve got more hassle dealing with the general public

Had a look round AEG about a month ago and Funnily enough looked at a panel van.
