Can honestly say that I have no issue with how long your videos are - you explain things so well!
I can't stand those people who click their fingers and everything is done - that doesn't teach or show me anything.

This is beautiful. Ginger chic rehab has some videos where she does something similar with rice paper and just decoupages it. Just figured I'd put that out there for anyone who doesn't have transfers. Both are awesome and both ways turn out absolutely beautiful. Two great crafting RUclipsrs too. Transfers is probably the easier option, but again, just for anyone who doesn't have transfers.

Please do not apologize for the longer videos. I love them! I get on RUclips to watch specific people I like and to learn. Not to aimlessly scroll through short videos. Thank you for being you!

Hey Sammie! This window 🪟 turned out beautiful! I love the longer video, because you actually can spend more time explaining how it’s done, and I like that! It was almost like I was watching a class! Thank you for taking your time to do this! Hope all is well with you and your family!

Great project! I really appreciate the more in depth video which allows for more detailed teaching by you. That's how we learn - you do the trial & error part for us so we don't get discouraged & I for one appreciate that! Your window turned out fantastic! I love the IOD transfers too, so much detail.

Love that The Ginger Chic Rehab does a si ilar technique but she sprays the vinegar water solution on it while the paint is still wet and then dabs it off.

I’ve done this many times. I’m still learning but if you’ll do the vinegar and water before you spray the mirror paint then let dry and then blot. Do this with each layer and it will give you a very aged look. Yours is beautiful too though! I’ve not done the transfer on top. I’ve only done modpodge decoupage paper on back and mirrored around it.

You were asking about crackle medium, and ive made it with contact cement. Brush on the cement and let it dry, then brush on your paint, but try to only brush it a couple of times. You will have to experiment with the cement on trash wood to see what makes big ctacks or little cracks, but it works every time. Try it! I am going to make some windows into old mirrors now. Thanks! ❤❤❤❤❤😊

Happy New Year Sammie!! I love the format of your videos and I always learn things from you. I like that you slow down your instruction when you are showing something new or a new technique and you speed up the parts that don't need much instruction. I love your wood projects and your up cycling of thrift pieces. I actually made a few wood signs for Christmas gifts using inspiration from your videos. This was the first time that I had made any wood signs. Thank you for everything you do!!!!

Beautiful!!! I found 4 old windows in the rafters of the car when we moved into this house two years ago. And bought two long ones at a garage sale. Great idea. Funny you talked about crafting on the floor. My 83 year old mom is a quilter and still gets down on the floor to lay out her quilts. Amazing!!

Did you test for lead paint? Anything made before 1978 most likely is a lead paint disaster. The danger of lead poisoning is very real for everyone especially for children and anyone who’s pregnant. Even low levels found in the blood are known to have disastrous effects on the brain. Inexpensive lead test kits are available at hardware stores/Home Depot but items need to be tested BEFORE you bring them home where the inherently sticky lead paint will end up sticking to your shoes and end up in your homes. As a general rule, anything that’s peeling should be avoided… it’s in the garbage for a reason. Inadvertent lead paint poisoning has impacted my life in a nightmarish way. Be informed! Be careful! Don’t let it happen to you and those you love! Ignorance is not bliss. I’m sure this creator is not aware of the extreme dangers of lead paint poisoning or she would have warned everyone at the very beginning of the video. 😔

The way I learned about doing the mercury glass thing was to use a spray bottle, you'll get better coverage, full white vinegar and put it on while it's still a little wet- it'll take off the paint much easier in the spots you put it, it like, dries like that or something, if I remember right. I believe I did it on glass in a jewelry box, but it was several years ago and I can't remember lol. Very pretty tho! Thanks for sharing the whole process, def more helpful.

Hi Sammie! I always, always, always learn something new from you.....and I appreciate it (and you) so much!!! This was a gorgeous transformation. The only thing that I don't like is that every stinking time I watch, I want to stop what I'm doing (usually work) and go look up FB marketplace to see if I can fine free wood, windows or spindles. I want to go play with my crafts and I really need my job, so I have to squash the urge! I hope that you have a fantastic day and thanks again for being you!!!

Hi Sammie I absolutely love this piece I've been dabbling with using windows and even big pic rames (can't get windows here) with transfers and paint it's awesome love it, as far as I know your right can't seal transfers on glass because it leaves a cloudy or maked appearance on the image ,and with the crackle, our upcycled life she uses hair spray as a crackle medium with heat I haven't tried it but it looked great when she did it... YES definitely like the idea of longer videos etc , I definitely learn something almost every single time I watch and appreciate how you teach/ show us how you do stuff and I'm down to see more, I'm am always inspired by you hun, you've helped me more than you know , thanks for sharing take care all the best Mary in Australia 🌻😘

I do not use the chalk crackle medium but I do know that you have to let it dry before you put paint over them. I get mine from Lowes. I have done bed frames, antique furniture, and all kinds of stuff and the only time I have had issues is with chalk paint so I just use acrylic paint when I use crackle medium because chalk paint no matter what does not crackle for me ever of ever lol. I love your videos. So much fun and I always get so much from them!!❤❤❤

Great job on lining up the transfers on the panes - looks great. I've seen this technique before but never thought to add one more coat to the back - love that you chose gold.
