The original studio recording was done with OB Expander, Roland JX8P and Yamaha TX816 on the intro, as that had to sound HUGE. When the band kicks in, it's OB Matrix 6, Roland MKS30 (JX3P) and the Yamaha TX81z to downscale the keys about 50% as a big keyboard sound may work in Saga, but not in a Hard Rock band ... that is one of the secrets ;) The song itself was written by Joey Tempest in his kitchen on a KORG PolySix
And the intro to the song was used to help open the doors of a Stockholm nightclub at the start of their business nights as far back as 1982, so the riff was around long before it became a song. X-)
1986 rules, thanks a lot Mr. Million. That was the year of Red Fire Tiger, by chinese horoscope, next year 2022 will be also Tiger, but Blue Water Tiger.
Used the same Korg from the first demo of this classic. I love these synths that sound wonderful! Only talented hands can orchestrate these rarities.☝🏾☝🏾☝🏾👍🏾

The JX-8P is providing the lead sound and it is connected to a TX-81Z if you look closely. I am using the D50 for the chords. Original was all JX-8P and TX-81Z
If you didn´t know, Europe actually used the JX-8P and a Yamaha TX-816 rack unit to create the whole synth sequence.
that's absolutely correct, but...don't forget the Oberheim Matrix ;)
@@larslevinberget9558what did the Matrix Oberheim ? On the interview it says the jx8p and the tx816
Stab brass on the JX-8P
I know it's been a while since you posted this, but thanks dude. I appreciate it
Are Yamaha DX7 + Roland Juno series compatible with these sound....which is better ?
Roland's synth brass is instantly recognizable.
Haha true!
what's up TC, everything okay? query, what is the name of the program in the roland synthesizer? Thank you very much

How can I make the same sound?

I need a full version of this masterpiecie
I give it a 'like' for the JX-8p
Nice cover! Still wait Italo DISCO part 2! :)
It's coming 😀
Glad to hear that played with era appropriate synths. Good job
The LinnDrum was heard in this version of this song.
Ready to run through a brick wall now!
Don't forget a helmet. XD
The GEICO commercial brought me here.
The underlined "Bang" brings a litte more dynamic and a litte more fuil, Yeah
The Oberheim Xpander horns were heard in this song.
Nope the JX8P horns are heard in the song....
@@synthland4526 The Xpander horns/Matrix-12 horns are sounding similar to the Juno-106 horns/JX-8P horns.
Hello Luke, thank you very much for this great thing ! Can you drop your preset on the PG-8X please ?
Yasssss! 😎
JX8P... The keyboard from the biggest hard rock riff
So sick

Yamaha TX81Z, ? Can you tell Luke?
Great performance, thank you!
-- Just found after the more recent video and now try to learn more about your great sound machines.
There was a TX81Z which was receiving midi from the JX-8P to double the lead sound 😊
@@lukemillionmusic Cool, thanks for the tip
nice
Sweet!!!!!!!!!!!!1!
awesome
30 Yıldır hayal ettiğim bir versiyon için bu kadar kısa bir süre çok üzücü. Müthiş başarılı bir versiyon tebrikler
Great, Luke. I have an old Yamaha PSR 7000, but unfortunately I can't get that sound out of it. In short, this is just the thing...
Great job, I’d to hear the whole song.
Amazing Videos! Thanks
The baseline though 😳👍

It sounds like synergy between Europe and Giorgio Moroder
No vocal vocoder of the "final countdown"? Good rendition despite this omission.
Very energic 😄 👏
Can you imagine Depeche mode doing this with Dave’s big booming vocals
Exact as the same.❤️🔥😘💯

i was feeling a little tired today , not anymore lets goooo !
how would I program the Oberheim clone. say the OP-x to perform that glide up to the F# for the intro ?
🔥💜🔥💜🔥
This is so epic 🤘
what's up LUKE, everything okay? query, what is the name of the program in the roland synthesizer? Thank you very much
Hey luke!!! PLEASE MAKE A SCARY THIEVES - TELL ME GIRL cover!!! PLEASEEE😭😭😭😭🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 They used a multimoog for the bass, PPG wave and prophet 5
Did you use an out of the box voice on the JX8P or did you created a custom one with the PG300?
It was a brass preset that I tweaked a little then layered it with the TX81Z.
Can I find similar sound with VST plugins?
well done sir! Great gear too but get a stable Z stand !
What dx7 preset do you use for the intro
There is no Dx7 but there is a TX81Z brass patch doubling the JX8P. Can’t remember which patch it was tho.
Original Lead Brass Sound was on D-50??
The JX-8P is providing the lead sound and it is connected to a TX-81Z if you look closely. I am using the D50 for the chords. Original was all JX-8P and TX-81Z
Nope, the D50 wasn't on the market here in Scandinavia until 1987, so it was featured on "Out of this world"
Beautiful ❤️🇵🇰🎸
Where did you get your JX-8P from?
Locally from my hometown Adelaide in Australia. Was from the original owner in mint condition with all accessories 😊
@@lukemillionmusic Ah alright, thanks!
The bass should have a triple dum-dadadum rhythm :p
jx with controller... please do kylie minogue song... because never see any cover of it on youtube... kylie song is italo disco and australia popstar
Which Kylie song?
that studio desperately needs a lamp.
not the same? Why ?

Great except for the low intro.
Špatně naprogramovane bicí. Otřesné!
