“Hey Harold, we need a theme to a new Chevy Chase movie and we love what you did with Beverly Hills Cop, but we only have $20 and about 10 minutes.” “Yeah, I think I can come up with something”
You are phenomenal, I wish I could play like you. Have thought for years about learning to play the piano so I could get a keyboard and start learning to play all the songs I love from the 80's, to which as far as i'm concerned was the best era for music. Watching your video's gave me the inspiration to go for it and have since started lessons. Thank you Luke for being the inspiration to get me started on my journey.
This is an honest question- Are you exaggerating that you can barely string two noted together? In those 3 years, how often and how long do you practice? Or do you mainly just mess around with the waveforms?
This is ridiculous! You instantly teleported me back to 90% of the movies I recall. Thank you so much. Your skills are insane and it’s so cool to see how much joy it brings you. Keep doing what makes you happy! Knowing artists like you are out there bringing smiles, gives us something more to look forward to in our love for music. That Prophet...need I say more??? Keep it up. Subscribed instantly!
This is incredibly entertaining to me. I was a child during the 80's and this brings back memories. The performances by Luke here are top notch in my opinion.
Dude, you nailed it. Not just that you sound like original 99% (Axel F bass needs a pitch bend a little for example) you have impressive (and expensive) collection of functional vintage gear.
Well you just destroyed what I thought was my life's greatest achievement of being able to play the bassline and melody from Axel F at the same time! Such a great video. Oxygene 2 was just perfect!
Okay, i`m a musician too. But it`s amazin`how deep all these sounds and songs are burned into the brain. Only one tone of a song ( from the 80`s ) is enough, and we all know what song it is. And we all know, what we did when we listen to it the first time. The best time of our life !!!!!! PS. The moog-sound in Deeper Underground is so brutal, love it !!!!
I have that same software for my E-Mu E II and Emaxes! I honestly found myself working with a 25 year old Windows laptop as my "computer". I found it eons ago and eventually hooked up a MOTU MIDI Express XT to the parallel port and a bunch of Sycologics. I switched from Traction as my DAW to that and some Tascam D-88s a friend of mine was getting rid of. I fell in love with the simplicity of it. I get lost and distracted by the DAW approach. Plus, if I sit down at a beefy computer, I'll start playing video games.
There ought to be a law against someone having so many classic synths in one place at one time. It could rupture the space time continuum. Thank you though. And thank you for taking the time to record them without so much compression that we can’t hear the tone. Really well done.
Impressive presentation, Luke 👍 Looks really wonderful, delighted to be here! Appreciate the post, thank you so much! Have a great Thursday Friend🥰 Keep up the spectacular work!
Hey Luke, what you do is incredible 😃!!! Im sitting here listening to your fantastic skills, and i miss the 80:s sooooooo much ! You must be proud of yourself beeing able to play these timeless classics so perfectly 💜 Keep up the good work and take care, man 😎👍 You are awesome 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
When I was in my teens, my parents bought me a nice Yamaha top of the line synthesizer. I miss that and would love to get my hands on another analog synthesizer
That’s great, just great Luke! You play “ Axel F” so good, now I want to pop popcorn 🍿 and sit down and watch Beverly Hills Cop for what, the millionth time?! 😄✌🏽(and Ghostbusters after that )
I tell you... as some one who has been playing synthesizer since the 80s.. this video was AWESOME! Unreal amount of skill..
Thanks mate 🙏
@@lukemillionmusic Just amazing your videos and such a beatiful synth collection
How long would it take me to get decent at it?
@@fibreoptik The harder you practice, the quicker you succeed! :P Practice makes perfect!
@@Pauluz_The_Web_Gnome Perfect practice makes perfect :p
The Fletch theme was awesome.
My brain can not comprehend how you were able to play that Harold Faltermeyer bass and lead at the same time. It’s just not humanly possible.
Watch someone playing organ - 2 hands + 2 feet :D
@@DonPedro6901 yeah that’s also crazy seen a few videos of that - mind blown 🤯
In fletch
Oh no Beverly Hills Cop/Axel Foley
You don’t actually see him play the DX7 and Prophet 5 at the same time.
JMJ - Best recreate i ever hear.
Vintage synths wants the 80s back!
80's synth Imperial March is so awesome, I think Darth Vader himself would have it as his ringtone lol
Instantly transported to a time when music ignited the soul in movies. 😃
Great series
Giorgio Moroder and Harold Faltermeyer would be proud
Faltermeyer’s stuff is so slick
Обожаю музыку 80-ых! хоть и сам 94-го года! и сам балуюсь написанием ретро!)
Jarre - wow… I’ve played it countless times and this was flawless
The fact that you're able to do all of this without a synthesizer is astounding.
The humor of this is sadly under appreciated. 😃
?
Greatest thing since "Vangelis: unplugged"
😆
😆
Dude, Electric Dreams is my go-to for music and 80s feel. Moroder did such a fantastic job!
His synth collection must be worth an insane amount of money
at least 50k from what I've seen in 2 videos alone
The dude has a Prophet 5, a very coveted and very sought after synth.
he mostly collect everything second hand so perhaps half that 50k
@@liorsilverstein9802 considering the fact this legend has a jupiter 8 which go for around 30k alone, id say actually double that 50k
@@senchoumusic is good gear I do not mind spend that much on them. European and japanese wizardry.
OMG! at 2 minutes in he plays FLETCH, im deads 😂
Fantastic. Hint for follow up: airwolf. Ein fall fur zwei. (Epic German synth tv theme!!!)
That is a great theme!
Ecto-1 on the keyboard is a nice touch. I didn't even know Meco made "The Empire Strikes Back" theme.
“Hey Harold, we need a theme to a new Chevy Chase movie and we love what you did with Beverly Hills Cop, but we only have $20 and about 10 minutes.” “Yeah, I think I can come up with something”
Nothing like the '80s!

You have company with your passion for learning keyboard.
Damn, That Jean Michel Jarre part was recreated perfectly on those synths. Outstanding.
Wishing to be in a live concert with this great synth musician...wonderful
I’ve been doing this for around 3 years. I can barely string two notes together. This is SO inspiring. Thank you for sharing.
You're welcome :)
This is an honest question- Are you exaggerating that you can barely string two noted together? In those 3 years, how often and how long do you practice? Or do you mainly just mess around with the waveforms?
The song from Fletch!!! 🏆
😍😍😍 That first one... such memories! "I WANT TO MEET HER, MOLES!"
Fletch was so good, took me right back to my childhood.
Gotta love that guitar sound from the Emulator II.
That John Williams tune is so funny, love it
Ни какая супер визуализация не может сравниться с руками исполняющего музыканта на клавишах или струнах. Восхитительно! Спасибо!
4:01 is the song that got me into electronic music as a kid. Well done!

You are a dark lord of the synth my friend

You hit my feelings right in the middel of my heart...................with this 5,25" Floppy drive on your keyborad or synti.
Ok, your "together in electric dreams" was SPOT ON. Congrats! It's one of my favorite songs from the era, and the movie is still an absolute favorite.
your fletch is spot on , in awe !
You should really do some industrial mixs from the era, because all this gear you got is out of this world!
You got the Brad fiedel part ❤️❤️
Jean-Michel Jarre Oxygene Part 2 ! Great sound 👌✌
Man, love all the analogue synths/gear.... in working order!
I love the bass sound of that Moog bass synth!
