I sailed on the Island Princess for the World Cruise this year. 97 days around the world. Not my favourite Princess ship, but the staff were so amazing.
Yes! Jerusalem Artichokes. They make great soup and roast well. Cheap in the store. The only issue is they are knoby and tough to peel. So they take a bit of prep time. If you liked the soup on board, it is easy to make at home. And for soup, peeling isn't necessary. I could tell you how to do it but recipes are easy to find on line. All you need are the sunchokes and onion. You can add celery, carrots, potato, and garlic if you like. Water or stock. You just boil it all until it is soft and throw it in a blender or food processor. Or put it through a food mill. You can add cream at the end, or not. Lovely flavor and guests are usually impressed because most have never had it. Just don't tell them how easy it is.
That soup was Jersalem artichoke - usually considered "family only" as they have a reputation for giving you wind, shall we say. One of the tastiest soups around, a very good with hazelnuts - the classic (and I think still the best) recipe is Escoffier's Palestine Soup (which has the hazelnuts added). Easy to find online.
Hi you guys. Was just curious and wondering if you could tell me what kind of camera and equipment you guys use to film? I’d like to get into vlogging myself and not sure where to start. It’s funny my next cruise will also be on the island in May to the Caribbean :) thanks in advance!

Amazing! We would love to do a world cruise. We met a few world cruisers who were onboard. They all had great things to say about the crew

Thanks for watching! We use a Insta360, and IPhone with DJI Gimbal. Have a great time on Island Princess
@@TomandDomTravel sorry just to clarify because I believe I’ve seen a few. The dji osmo mobile 6? And thank you so much :)
@daniellemos5710 yes, Osmo mobile although ours isn’t the newest version. We are looking to try the insta 360 version as well.
Sunchokes are Jerusalem artichokes - otherwise know as "fartichokes" for very obvious reasons
😂😂
