Quite a range on the shelves behind Jeff.. rare to see Empires in Arms and a lot of Ticket to Rides on the same shelf 😊 *Thumps Up*
Thanks! In high school it was a lot of heavy war games and when I got back into the hobby about 6 years ago TTR was one of the first, along with Marvel Legendary. Check out the Legacy version if you can!
I’ve played two of those games, but not at a con ha. Ancient knowledge and The White Castle.
The new version of Foundations of Rome is titled Foundations of Metropolis, so a generic city theme I assume. It will certainly be more affordable than the original.
I really want to play MLEM, and it looks like it was added to BGA recently 😁! I think our favorite at Geekway was Heat! If not for the time constraints, we might have played through the 3 championship seasons!
The Witcher Old World may be my favorite game that I ended up getting rid of. It was massive, overproduced, took time to set up and table and the teach could be long and of course playing at higher player counts could be painfully long. We played it a few times and I knew I wasn't going to get it played enough and was able to offload it and break even.
wandering towers is neat
I think Harmonies is most similar to Reef and Neotopia as opposed to Cascadia.
It's very fun for me that you mentioned the Colossal Edition of Castles in your honorable mentions list. Me and my gaming group had been given this game a few months ago but due to various issues had just been sitting on it. Well we finally opened it last night, plan on punching out and organizing everything today, with plans to get together on Monday to finally play it. We are very concerned our normal sized dining room table won't actually be big enough for the four of us!
Also, in addition to the Colossal version of the Royal Collectors Edition, we have the brand new (as of Nov) Renovations expansion. I'm curious if that was part of your game at Geekway. I'm really excited to see what it's like to complete a room with dual bonuses.
We had a great time playing that as our opening game of the convention! We didn't use the renovations expansion. I hope it fits onto your table! :)

The Witcher: Old World, Veiled Fate, Wild Tiled West, Cascadero/Cascadito, Blueprints of Mad King Ludwig, and Coffee Rush were top new to me he's for this Geekway!

Standouts:
- Dune, just freaking incredible
- Zhanguo 2, I played the original a couple times but not nearly as much as my table mates and they were luke warm on the changes while I was in favor of them. Regardless an incredible game.
- First Rat, I watched a playthrough and figured it would be cute with some medium heft and I liked it, and bought a copy haha
- Marrakesh, the essential ed was a disappointment which means getting the deluxe version for the even more ridiculously expensive price is saddening because the game was good like I thought it would be.
- Lifeboats, second year our group played this and last year I won. So I had the target on me, my boats never moved, always sprang a leak, but I persevered and didn’t take last! Negotiation games rise/fall with the group, and we have fun with it, but it is a late night short on time (personal 1 min timer set for each stage) nothing much to it game.
Thanks for sharing your list! Sounds like some very memorable games. I want to try Marrakesh and Zhanguo.
