The stag, boar and fox were better done. I'm still trying to work out what on Earth happens. You can fire all your soldiers, then at the end of the turn they get reset to 1/3 of your labourers.... via CALL 34090 (which takes HL, divides by DE and puts it back into HL).

It's a very odd game. The reviewers found it very difficult, then the developers told them what numbers to choose and they had more fun. Unfortunately those numbers aren't in the manual! There's an interesting game in here... somewhere!
No good having a new mic if you wear a helmet on your head that muffles your speech though I reckon! I've had to change my email and youtube account but I was the guy giving you some ZX BASIC tips (mainly maths/floating point ones) on your previous vids... probably seen me on other Speccy sites too. So you got 2 subscribers for the price of 1 there!
@@WhatHoSnorkers Lots of speccy games use self-modifying code. On Spectrum Computing forum (on page 4 of the programming subforum - thread: How much self modifying code was there and did it do anything?) there's a thread where I gave some common examples of where you might want to do that. Don't think you can put links in youtube comments hence overly long description of how to find the thread lol. Obviously these days with caches it's a very bad idea to do self modifying code, even if the OS allows it (probably won't unless you set the part you modify to be executable memory)
There were a few similar games around. This is graphically the fanciest. There was a 1984 game called Feudal Overlord that had a lot more of the numbers exposed, and so you had more control. You could build windmills! And mines! And sell wheat!
@@WhatHoSnorkers You should do a playthrough of that, obviously you could sell all your wheat to just about anyone and then the video title just writes itself, "Wheat Ho Snorkers"

The code of this game is tricky. It's actually SELF-MODIFYING which is fascinating.
