Thank you very much good Sir. I've got my implantology final exam tomorrow morning and this topic wasn't quiet clear yet. Explained in a short yet very clear matter. Thumbs up.

There are a lot of factors that go in to choosing an implant system that is right for you. Our video on choosing an implant system might be of interest to you: ruclips.net/video/Fl5Ltevk7qI/видео.html

Good day! I dont understand something : for the closed tray impression we use a almost non-retentiv coping because we want to detach the impression and after that, unscrew from implant and place into impression with the analogue? And for the open tray we use a retentive long coping transfer (because we want it to stay in??) , it perforates the impression, unscrew it from implant and then placed the analogue?.
The thing i dont understand is why we need the long retenive transfer coping ? Is it more accurate because we dont pull it out from the impression ?
Do you have a video from the lab after the impression is taken and sent there?

Yes, open tray is typically going to be more accurate because it stays in the impression. There are a few reasons for this. One, it eliminates the possibility of human error in re-inserting the impression coping - it can be easy to accidentally insert those impression copings in the wrong orientation. Two, there is more surface contact of the impression material to the open tray coping because it's almost fully encapsulated in the impression. This reduces movement of the coping. Three, there is less chance to distort the impression when pulling the tray when it's an open tray technique. I hope that helps!

Thank you very much for this super important notes about (transfer copings) ...
But i've got confusion about the use of ( coping , prosthesis screw)...??
& is (transfer coping) synoname of (impression coping )?? .
    Great thanks to you Doctor

The terms "transfer coping" and "impression coping" can be used interchangeably. The term "transfer coping" should only be used for closed tray impression copings, but it's often used for open tray copings as well.
