@Master Of Offending : m1 thumb should be impossible with the correct technique. you can use your non-trigger hand to pull back and hold the charging handle from under the gun, and use your trigger hand to push in the clip, then release the handle and give it a soft smack to chamber if needed

Legends say that some French soldiers are still reloading until today
4:12
The lebel was created in 1886 which was invented before the stripper clip which was invented in 1888, it was pretty normal at the time to manually reload each bullet into a bolt action repeating rifle until 1888. Nice joke nevertheless 👍👍👍
@@adankmeme651 I should woosh you

The problem with the French was that they made a lot of firsts (like the Lebel loading) and stuck with them. Meanwhile the rest of the world saw the inovation , did more research on it (fixed the bugs) and pesented something better, while the French ware stuck with the Beta.
You're a lucky man to be able to have all of these rifles. It's borderline impossible to find one decently priced anymore...
A friend of mine and I talk about the days you could walk into a big 5 and see a Nazi marked k98 for like 200-300 bucks max. Mosins for 100 on sale. Back in like 2005 even which wasn't even that long ago.

Two things I learned from this.
1. Having 5 rounds isn't enough for the British.
2. The French aren't in much hurry.
That mad minute though
They sure don't want anyone to have more than 5 rounds ANYWHERE anymore.
Wonder if they forgot about these rifles?
They sure didn't want mag limits when they had them.
Perhaps the Brits were compensating for the French? Please don't laugh at my terrible joke.
Neither is the French's food
3. China was making weird designs before it was cool
Every other country: Back in the action in less than 10 seconds
France: "✋"
The Lebel was introduced in 1886- several years before the first clip. It was the first firearm to use smokeless ammunition.
@@JohnDoe-fu6zt And it was essentially a modified Kropatschek, which is even older. And given that the contemporaries of the Lebel were all single-loading black powder bolt actions, it was still pretty damn good for its time. It just sucked by the time World War I hit.

I like how the mosin clips are just like: “nah”. Good to see I’m not the only one!
The first one actually goes really quick, but yeah, Mosins always wanna be stubborn, like the communists they are, lol.
there is a way you can do it to make it pop off. you grab the top round by the bullet and angle the end of the case downward and it pops the clip off before you work the bolt. kinda hard to explain but there are tons of vids.
The top angled round trick doesnt always work. The authentic clips with no cuts work the best. Ive cut myself on repros.
If you do it enough, it's pretty fast. It also depends on the maker of the clips, I have cheap Amazon ones that work decently.

I love the Swiss Rifles and their Clips, it's so unique and I love it
The speed of how fast a K98 can be reloaded is amazing. Truly a magnificent rifle design and strong action.
Yeah, and you won't break your finger trying to reload quickly.
Just a way to compensate for 5 bullets per clip
And well made clips
Military leaders: "We need detachable mags to ease and speed up reloading"
This guy: "Why?"
Ig hes pretty good but in a different situation like a war.. geez I would drop my strippers and individual rounds on the ground hahaha
I know I can reload my Lee Enfield No 4 Mk 2 faster with chargers than dad, uncle, cousin and brother can with magazines
Honestly, I still think the M1 en bloc system is the best of both worlds. Speed of a detachable magazine reload with an internal and more reliable magazine. Plus the weight reduction from not having to carry all the extra mags. Only 2 real issues are the open action design necessary for such a system and the capacity limitations.
the idea with mags is they are higher capacity, and can be fed with strips if needed. youd need to thumb in maybe 6 clips to get your average 30 round magazine full, just far quicker to change magazines at that point, theyre easier to pull out of webbing too, rather than fiddling with 6 clips in your ammo belt, you just whip out one magazine and slap it in. magazines are still generally reloaded with clips though.
@@1337penguinman
I think they could extend the magazine capability but it would become heavier for an internal than an external detachable magazine
The cool thing about this is that most of these rounds can peirce modern body armor
No they cant not even near half of them can
When recoil control isn’t really necessary you can pack more of a punch, the FAL is a great example of why full auto .308 is an awful idea.

Technically all clips are for magazines. Just integrated internal Magzines lol. Incidentaly outside of civilian use. More ammo comes packaged in clips for the soldiers. They just strip them into magazines before going on a mission or patrol etc.

I just watched a man load several styles of clips into several coutry/national firearms, and you know what, I have no regrets, something about it feels satisfying to watch.
i cant describe or begin to understand how stiffing this is, just hearing the clicks and clanks of the metal parts of the guns, its just so good
One more satisfying thing:
Each gun actually looks like it would come from the country that it does.
Especially German rifles.

Other countries: Using clips are faster

Quite a lot of good memes here about the Lebel lol
Just a reminder that in theory french soldiers would reload after every shot, you would use the ammo that was stored in the gun only when order was given to do so, when advancing or in emergency situation.
Yup. I've covered that in other videos.
1) British : likes more bullets
2) French : slow reload with murderous intent
3) Switzerland : a nice clip
I always wonder if Switzerland actually used their Rifles.
For shooting practice maybe
For display, yes
Their vigilance and proficiency with those rifles prevented three invasions in World War Two. Twice the Germans backed down, and in 1944 the Americans were dissuaded from taking the short cut through Switzerland into Germany.
They trained with them but never fought wars, the Swiss tend to be a contentious people who take care of things and do proper maintenance plus they build things well so their surplus is usually really nice.
The reason why switzerland neutral but have army is because they are prepared for an invasion and the whole country is basically a trap
Watching this puts a bunch of stuff about the relative merits of these rifles in contrast. In particular, watching the k98k and 91/30 back to back is quite effective. Also, that no1 mark iv bolt open is so fast you'd be forgiven for thinking it was a straight pull!
im going to say that the sound of the metal clip's falling to the ground was truly ASMR
Man I wish Mosin stripper clips were designed to auto eject...
Yea but then it was designed for multiple guns.
They sort of do if you load them right and the rifle is right and the clips are right.
I've got one clip that can auto eject if i load the mag in a specific way with it. It even makes a distinct "ping" sound too
this reminds me of BF1
I just wish they were designed to work...

I love Mike’s consistency for posting early in the morning. It’s respectable.
Russian guns, “they’re cheap! Just like you, go kill them with this” “also here is a cheap bigger one too”
British guns, “ok made a decent gun.” “Need more ammo” “ok”
Indian guns, “them British guns look really fine don’t they?”
American guns, “got this basic rifle like every else.” “Not good enough” “agreed” “semi instead of bolt?” “Yes” ~couple days later~ *PING!*
India was in the commonwealth, but they kept the 2A1 with 12 rounds as service rifle till Indo-China war (1960s), I heard the Chinese were armed with AKs and SKS, outnumbering too! Impressive that they fought on outdated equipment.
Gotta get one, though.
And that day, a legend was born.

@@JoramTriesGaming well have puffed up fingers for some good ol ammo action? Enjoyable
1. I love those straight pull Steyr M1895 actions. It's a little stiff to overcome the action but it's fast as heck when you get used to it. Those en bloc clips are great too. They just fall out after you're done shooting.
2. Are some rifles meant to just have the bolt closed on the stripper clip and it will pop out while others have to have have the stripper clips removed first before closing the bolt? Looks like you did both with different rifles. I figure if you did slam the bolt on one, the stripper clip would just bend. It is a disposable item anyway.
Mosins and Swiss clips don't fall out. Mauser and MAS 36 do.
I came for the Kar98K at 2:30 and was not disappointed!
