- Camille Saint-Saëns (1835-1921) - Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso for Violin and Piano in A minor, Op. 28 (1863)
Anne-Sophie Mutter, violin
Lambert Orkis, piano
Lucky to have this performance
My favorite interpretation. Anne Sophie Mutter is amazing! ❤🎉
Thank you for sharing this excellent piece, excellent performance.
Bravo, Anne ! Excellent performance !
1080p HD I don't think so, how could you do this to the beautiful woman.
Sacrilegious!!
For once the microphone isn't too close to the instrument, which usually results in that unpleasant scratchy, sound typical of so many violin recordings
The best of best
Thank you very much for great performance
Have a wonderful holiday

Celestial..❤❤❤
She is an incredible violinist. She plays with such passion. This is my favorite performance of this piece!❤
In 2':44" she plays D note on G string. She has played same note in her other concerts. But I think it has to be a C note. Because I never heard D from others.
She plays concert E. In the score it is a C. E is in the chord here. This piece is open to embellishment. The two notes preceding the one in question are E- there is a musical argument to be made for choosing E over C.
Actually a E note
Brilliant!!!
One of the things I admire about Mutter is that she does not use a shoulder rest. This performance is a little over the top but still quite entertaining. (Even Ivry Gitlis' interpretation is not half as dramatic. It's just one short piece of music, not an opera.) In her personal life, she has always preferred older men. Nobody knows why. Is she about 25 years old in this video?
She was 52 at the time
@@szpytko12fg Thank you for this information. Good for her!!! She does look a lot younger than 52. She was in her prime!! (The venue looks familiar but I just don't know where this took place.)
