Wow such a high level of playing.. It’s crazy to hear the slightest differences in level between Nancy and Mutter… to really reach that world acclaimed level of Mutter is by such a small margin but by such a higher level.. Mutters sound definitely has an extra Ring of life to her sound

Truly one of the best recordings…
The only thing is that I can only hear the characteristics of Mutter, this delicate, mellow sound. It completely outshines Nancy, not that she is a bad violinist, in fact she is a great violinist, however, there is still a gap between Nancy and Mutter.

Концерт ре минор представляет собой состязание двух скрипок. К сожалению, при избранном (ускоренном) темпе все тончайшие нюансы индивидуальных партий просто теряются. Из двух скрипок какая-то одна просто превращется в дополнение к оркестру.

It’s a more dynamic interpretation than most others. I wouldn’t say that Bach didn’t compose it that way - since he composed it in the 1600s who are we to say how he meant or didn’t mean it to be played
Anne Sophie Mutter’s style and interpretation is unique and one’s like or dislike is purely subjective
