The complexity and beauty of how the notes and contrapuntal melodies weave together are astounding. Ms. Mutter and Ms. Zhou are outstanding performing this magnificent piece.
Mutters playing is unique which is what makes her so magical and rare.
Brilliant performance and so happy to see her mentoring young, female violinists.
This leaves me breathless just by listening and watching.
Great rendition❤ so dynamic ❤ Very rare jem of a recording❤ Thanks and love to the team🌹🌹🌹❤️❤️👌🏻
Classical music, with its timeless compositions, serves as a window to the past, allowing us to appreciate the artistic brilliance of centuries gone by. 🎻🎼✨
This is such a dope rendition. Some of the passages really start to shine at this tempo.
Fabulous!!! A rousing display of how complex harmony can be!
Anne-Sophie is such a badass virtuoso! I’m happy to be alive to listen to her! May god bless!
Das Streicheremseble spielt so fantastisch. Das Doppelkonzert von Bach ist so wunderschön
Mutter asserts her dominance here. Her sounds are so refined, expressive and on top of the ochestra.
Wow such a high level of playing.. It’s crazy to hear the slightest differences in level between Nancy and Mutter… to really reach that world acclaimed level of Mutter is by such a small margin but by such a higher level.. Mutters sound definitely has an extra Ring of life to her sound
Wspaniali młode osoby .Jest to również motywacją.Dziekuje.
i liked the darker tone of Nancy
Thank you so much Anne-Sophie, and the other musicians too. What a fantastic and Fabulous thing, really really love ❤️ listening to you playing with such passion and sensitivity too all of you. And what a marvellous thing, for these two young violinist’s to be able to play with the renounced Anne-Sophie Mutter, who really really incredible for you. Please stay safe and well too xxx Mags
the renowned Anne-Sophie Mutter ------ renounced - would mean - discarded. Sorry.
Fare thee well - in life's journey.
This is the most amazing thing I’ve ever hear
excellent !!!!!!!!!
The wonderfulness and Comfort of Bach‘s music they play with exquisite skill are the world‘s lingua franca
Oh well said!
Mutter asserts her dominance everywhere!!!! That's so simple!!!!
Truly one of the best recordings…
The only thing is that I can only hear the characteristics of Mutter, this delicate, mellow sound. It completely outshines Nancy, not that she is a bad violinist, in fact she is a great violinist, however, there is still a gap between Nancy and Mutter.
Every time I hear Mutter, I'm surprised at how original her ideas and expression are. Her music has more character than other great violinists in many cases.
@@republiccooper Agree.
Her vibrato is most marvellous indeed.
Anne the Queen!
Wow. This is masterful playing
An absolute Goddess. And I'm heavy metal,
I can litsen this all day
Please listen to Voices of Music - Elizabeth Blumenstock and Alana Youssefian
Excellent!
Constantino, show como sempre!
Anne is such a MONSTER on this song!
Božićni poklon za mene samu✨👏🎶💙
Bravo! Danke sehr viel
ANNE. PARABÉNS PRA BACH-CONC.DUPLO.....!!!MARAVILHOSA APRESENTAÇÃO!!!ABRAÇO DE CORAÇÃO E SEMPRE SUCESSO!!!😅❤😂😊😮😊
Great!!!
Uaaaa, koji tempo! Izvrsno!
My favourite rendition of the 3rd movement!
Oh, the joy!! Brava!
Bravo!!!!!!
Maravilloso
Came here after watching twoset

Great music, always a treat to see/hear Anne-Sophie Mutter, but the MTV video-like quality was off-putting. I saw Kian Soltani in the cello section, apparently this was before he became a soloist.
Is the second movement not cool enough for them? The whole thing is also kind of aggressive and fast, leaving insufficient time to hear the subtle bits.
Love the tutelage
Muy buena excelente
Solo le falta la "base" electrónica..
Ay Si Karajan levantara la cabeza!!!
wunderbar
Goose bumps.
Oh WOW!
Perfect Tempo! Always played too slow. This nails it beautifully. And even more to my taste - scrap the 2nd movement! In love. Bullseye!!!
Magnifique ❤. John the french guy
I see two cello power House. I love the way they play and make it seem less difficult 😂
spritely tempos. what happened to the 2nd mov?
So fierce.
Incredible performances!
Reminds me of something I read recently, "He may be terrific, he may be terrible -- but he's never nice. Not Bach!"
This is a very brisk version, and I like it!
Fabulous! Viva ASM!
hysterical version
SUBLIME.
I see two cellists Pablo and Kian back there!
Wow. What tempo
❤❤❤
Alles gut, aber zu schnell. Leider für Polifonie das klapt nicht zusammen. Un wo ist 2, Teil verschwunden?
wait, it’s the original speed?? So fast! Checked twice to make sure I didn’t play it 1.5x
Let's face it: the dynamic of this rendering is nothing short of Bach's vision of playing. He was no dormant individual.
Amazing music and musicians but got dizzy from the video jumping all over the place.
"I am deeply touched that all these years later my music is still being appreciated by classical music fans all over the world. However, I feel compelled to say that I never intended my masterpiece written for two violins to sound like the entire orchestra smoked crack before performing it". JSB
Well it a measured fellow, that can walk the streets of Paris, and find the History of peace.
Fast. Did they skip the 2nd movement?
I am now flying
I came here only for the 2nd movement 😅😅😅
Wth happened to the second movement?
Too fast !
I agree! I couldn’t even finish listening. What’s the rush?
Barbara Stanwyck should have studied violin, her resemblance to Mutter is somewhat pronounced. Barbara's husband Robert Taylor played the cello.
Zamiast komentarza. Szybciej..🤔nie można?
Very fast....matter of taste... but impressiv.
I was surprised that it was going as fast as it goes in my head. I usually speed things up in my mind
even better than Manze&Podger:)
Anne-Sophie Muter is an "has-been". Nancy Zhou rules!!
You wish you can play like Anne Sophie mutter but you can’t 😂😂😂
to beach 5th
A brisk version for the busy person who loves classical music but is on a time crunch 😂
She is trying to teach the passion to her young student!!!!!!!
Wonderful! But can't you play it any faster?
Third movement definitely too fast. Also missed the gorgeous second movement. Impressed with the talent of the two younger violinists. Mutter obviously sensational.
Way too fast
Noa wins - she wears tights 😂
Too fast
This is way too fast! Bach didnt write that...
It’s a more dynamic interpretation than most others. I wouldn’t say that Bach didn’t compose it that way - since he composed it in the 1600s who are we to say how he meant or didn’t mean it to be played
Anne Sophie Mutter’s style and interpretation is unique and one’s like or dislike is purely subjective
too fast
So what?
I second, in German we call it Affenzahn-Tempo. Prestissimo.
It's interpretation, if you don't like it, there's plenty of slower recordings out there
@@hansjuergenkohlhaas871 it's nowhere near prestissimo lol which is 178 bpm and over, on the score it's supposed to be played fast, vivace but they're only playing at around 110bpm, if you want a slow recording I recommend yehudi menuhin and david oistrakh :)
Too much of a spectacle, and not enough respect!
Too fast!
