I am not an Italian person, but I hope Sinner will gain the championship in this tournament, he deserves to have it.
You don't have to be Italian to wish the best player to win.
He will join a long list of opponents. The one that put me over the edge on behalf of Novak is the Cincinnati Open where he and Carlitos had a mind numbing near 4 hour 3 set match in what can charitably be called thermonuclear weather. After seeing them both afterwards I think they were glad the match was over no matter who won.

@@richardzheng2805 more important than whether Sinner has increased is whether Djokovik's level has decreased. If it didn't drop, it means that you have to reach a level where you can surpass the best in history at his best tournament. It will be difficult for Sinner, I am convinced that Djokovic will enter motivated, but obviously it is not impossible, Djokovic also has bad days.

I'm still not sure he could beat Novak tho. Djokovic is so good at reading his opponents and he gets through the tough mental games. For Sinner, he really needs to have a perfect game plan to defeat Djokovic.
