Great to see that Phil is overcoming his skill issue and actually gets better at rhythm games. If you want some good mods, try Garcello. It's good for people who just starting to get good and still give you a fair challenge. Hope to see more rhythm games in the future
Congrats Phil! You've graduated to Rhythm Game Beginner! In terms of mods I'd highly recommend the Hazy River mod, it's a collection of two chill and easier mods being Annie Atsuover and Garcello, plus the music BANGS!
A lot of people, including me, are definitely gonna recommend Hazy River. It’s pretty much known for being one of the highest quality easy mods. Another good one is Twinsomnia. Cute cutscenes and art style, and it’s only 4 songs so doesn’t take too much time. Indie Cross has an easy difficulty and lets you turn off gimmicks some songs have that make things harder, though the last songs of the mod are the hardest and won’t let you do that.
OK so!! some advice, an issue I see a lot with newer players is that they jam their fingers hard into their keyboard. this results in your hands starting to hurt a lot. what you wanna do is use as little pressure as you can to press down a key, and let the pressure of the keypress bounce your finger back up. if thats too much right now, just focus on being light on your hands. Try not to get intimidated! and don't feel pressured to play difficulties you aren't comfortable with! take things at your own pace and have fun with it. Make sure your offset is calibrated right! you will find this in the options menu and having a good offset makes a good difference in accuracy! remember to take breaks and let yourself rest! straining yourself will only result in pain. some mods to reccomend! vs hex! really chill and beginner friendly. you will enjoy it! vs whitty Definitive edition! This mod was taken off for a while, but it got a glowup and was re-release! there are easy and normal modes, so don't worry too hard about having a rough time. vs tricky! you already talked about wanting to do this one, and thankfully it has an easy and normal mode. very high quality too! some mods to maybe look at later maybe Hotline 024! This mod was primarily made by Saruky, who has now worked with the devs on some of the erect remixes. their work is really good and this mod is very stylistically good!!! songs are great, though a lack of alternate difficulties may give you a hard time. Vs Camellia. this absolutely isn't a mod you should check out right now... buuuuut it is one of my favorites. its the mod I used to practice with for a long time and its still got some of my favorite jams. they probably aren't your style, buuut Im leaving this here just to say its cool!!!
Camellia mod is good, but I heard the covers have copyright stuff, did anything come of that? And, you know, the fact that it uses actual insane rhythm game charting
just glancing around to figure things out, I belive the two songs you might have to look out for dmca wise are Lioness pride from the hololive collab, and tremENDous. only reason is they're the two songs I can't find in the camellia dmca free playlist (and google not really helping)
Seek's Cool Deltarune Mod has difficulty settings, has a bunch of different amazing songs, and is literally Deltarune based. probably good for a future mod stream. Also, it was definitely fun seeing Phil somehow become competent at rhythm games over only two hours on this stream!
HEAVY VOUCH, very much enjoy this mod a lot. Not to add it'd be playable cause there are other difficulties for the majority of the songs, plus the ghost tapping
Not gonna lie I never expected you to give the game a full shot, and I'm glad you enjoyed it! :D Going off what you said at the end of the stream for mod requests, I feel like mods such as Hotline 024 and Friday night troubleshootin' are both REALLY GOOD and accessible mods! madness combat wise, there IS the antipathy hank mod if vs tricky ends up being too difficult, which I find to be very good as well! Other then that there's the vs online challenges, and hypnos lullaby, which are both VERY good but might be difficult for newcomers... Also, I think it'd be very cool if you gave INDIE CROSS a shot, for personal reasons :) Can't wait to see your thoughts on the modding space!
This was a surprisingly fun time, I forgot this game isn't just just cringe and unfair mods and is actually meant to be a labor of love. For mod suggestions that would fit your bill I think Indie Cross and -Monika- *Doki Doki Takeover would be good options.
Glad you tried to give this game a chance Phil! Despite the modding community having super difficult mods most of the time, there are easier yet still high quality mods you could still play such as: - Smoke Em Out Struggle (V.S Garcello) - V.S Cassette Girl - Hotline 024 - Indie Cross The last two are harder than the first, but there's an easy difficulty you could select when you're having a hard time!
Fun stream, glad you liked the game! One mod I highly recommend is Hazy River, it’s an anniversary rerelease of Garcello with bonus content! Also, I can chart an easy mode for Tricky if you want
Alright, so here are some of my mod recommendations as a long time fan: - Smoke Em Out Struggle (Vs. Garcello), this one is a really charming and fairly an easy mod overall so you shouldn't have much problem with this one. -Indie Cross, aight this one is a BIG boy with 3 weeks, different ROUTES and overall ton of content and cool mechanics (which you can turn off if they get too hard), it also features characters from games such as Undertale, Bendy and Cuphead! -The Full Ass Tricky Mod, obviously focusing on Madness Combat mostly everyones favourite clown, this one while one of the harder ones does have an easy mode so you should be fine and since you're a fan of Madness Combat as you mentioned i think you will really enjoy this one. -Online Vs., okay so this one is a bit of a pickle since it doesnt have an easy mode as far as im concerned BUT i think you should still check it out as its just a love letter to some of the most iconic newgrounds animations like Tankmen, Eddsworld, Madness Combat, etc.. -Vs. Hex, this one is super charming and easy (except for that one song of the second week) -And finally...Vs. Whitty, yeahhh so first of all it DOES have an easy mode but its pretty challenging nonetheless, and its also like the first mod to become really popular and it inspired many many mods going forward so it would be fun to check out. EDIT: I FORGOT ABOUT HOTLINE 024, yes this one is really worth checking out as well its great, it has some amazing tracks and its creator now works on the base game as a composer!
@@Anonymous_Idiot69 If this is about the Dondrr drama, that got cleared up, to summarise, none of it really happened, Lex just sat down and lied for half an hour.
some fun facts about hit single: The silly billy mode was made as tribute to a passed away developer and also the intro animation was animated on a phone! Also some mod recs Tricky Mod (I know you got scared there but there IS an easy mode) Hex (the first section of the mod is very beginner friendly, plus it has a normal and easy mode!!) Garcello (also pretty beginner friendly with normal and easy modes at least in my memory) Whitty (i feel like this is something everyone has to experience... yes there's an easy mode LOL)
I owe a lot to this game, it shaped my artstyle, I’ve met so many cool people through it too, made mods with some of them, still do, and it’s been great, the community has its bad moments but what community doesn’t you know? Glad you gave it an honest shot and actually liked it! I’ll think of some mods to suggest that are actually playable for your rhythmless brain.
Glad to see you enjoyed FNF. Just as a quick mention, the base game has ghost tapping off (hitting a key when there isn’t a note gives you a miss) so it’s actually a bit harder to play for beginners. Nonetheless, if you wanna keep at it with FNF, some easy mods you’d (probably) like would be Garcello, Hex, and Cassette Girl. BTW, if you see suggestions for Matt and/or Shaggy, Dave & Bambi, or Camellia just don’t. These are some of the super difficult/spammy mods so they aren’t good for beginners/in general (not talking about the music though, some of it is actually pretty good).
I loved the chill atmosphere that everyone was having! I hope you had a great time streaming this and I can't wait to see you try other stuff fnf related!
Very enjoyable stream! We funked our way to victory Glad FNF has had a resurgence now this week, base game still is an enjoyable experience! Hit single is an amazing mod, glad you played it. The fake bf design was created by a guy named Divide, who sadly passed away late 2021. Rest in peace. Some mods I recommend are Hazy River, which contain Annie and Garcello, pretty epic. Also recommend the Whitty and Hex mods! They’re classics.
So, Phillip mortgage said he wanted a list of mods to try, here’s mine, I know it’s long but that’s just because of my commentary on each, I also added a difficulty ranking to give you an idea of it, hopefully it helps: -------------- • *My favorite mod ever: Vs. Fuckboy, hallows Eve* Fuckboy, or FB (get it? Like BF backwards) is basically the shadow to bf’s sonic, it’s a really fun mod with some AMAZING music! I recommend it so so much you have no idea, it has the Aztrolotl seal of approval Diff (difficulty): 3/5? • *Vs. Whitty Definitive edition* A staple of the fnf community, one of the first full week fnf mods, if it wasn’t for whitty, the community wouldn’t be what it is today Diff: 3/5, aside from *that* song • *Twinsomnia* From the creator of Whitty, another really good mod, pretty easy too (imo) Diff: 2.5/5 • *Hazy river (also known as garcello)* A very chill mod featuring two ocs, garcello and Annie, the mod is really nice I love it, Annie’s week is harder than garcello’s but not by much Difficulty: 2/5 • *Vs cassette girl* Really good mod, sadly the creator of cassette girl is not a good person sooooo idk, still people seem to be fine with her as a character? Not sure Difficulty: 2.5/5 • *Ghouls n’ grooves* my friend made this one it’s great you’ll love it, it’s only one song too, it was made for a mod jam, which is a game jam but for the fnf community, the theme of this mod jam was “reflection” Difficulty: 3/5 • *Vs. Hex weekend update* Chill mod, cool oc Difficulty: 2.5/5, aside from *that one* song • *Vs. Chara demo 2.0* It’s a pretty good mod, but it can prove challenging Diff: 3.5/5, maybe even 4 • *Seek’s cool deltarune mod* As the name suggests, this is a cool deltarune mod made by a guy called seek, it features scenarios from deltarune and some from fan bosses, it’s pretty cool Diff: not sure, 3.5? Funki Funki karaoke club Another friend of mine made this one, if the name didn’t make it obvious, it’s a DDLC mod, just one song though, pretty good quality! Diff: 3/5 • *FNF Online Vs* basically it’s a mod with unique one shot (one shot means only 1 song, not full weeks) songs and also online mode These one shots include: -Hank from madness combat -Edd from Eddsworld -Alien hominid from - well you get it, etc. Issue is, it’s pretty challenging, and doesn’t have ghost tapping, or easy mode, but you could always just look up a video of it or something Diff: 4/5? • *Fnf: D-sides (4 sided cassette-?)* D sides is a remix mod, a remix mod is a mod that remixes both the designs, story and music of original fnf, it’s fun seeing how the designs parallel each other and the music is good too, it’s basically as long as og fnf, bit harder though, also some extra songs featuring collabs with other mods! Diff: whatever you rank base fnf as +1/5
my suggestions :) mcmadness - this ones against ronald mcdonald but took me so long to complete also in freeplay theres a level called "deaf to all but the ronald" which is crazy and all the arrows move around and stuff twinsomnia - cute artstyle and fast and upbeat songs fairly easy to complete laceys dream - based off of lacey games horror flash game the songs are SUCH a vibe late night city tales - pretty hard with really swag songs
Right off the bat, I want to highly recommend VS Hood: Roundtable. It's extremely underrated, but has some really good songs and has an easy mode in the settings you can turn on. The visuals are fantastic, the songs are really solid, and the characters an story are fun and unique. I'd sincerely suggest checking it out. You'll see these next ones recommended a lot, but Mario's Madness, Hazy River, and Indie Cross are all really good and are staples of the modding scene.
I’ve NEVER watched a video that was 2 hours long to the end until now. This is the first video I’ve seen from you and I don’t regret watching it. Keep up the good work Phill!
I’m glad this update made people realize how much genuine love there is surrounding this game and not just seeing the bad aspects of it, as big as they are.
Ahh this stream was so much fun! Glad you managed to have a good time with the game! As for mod recs I suggest checking out Hazy River/Smoke 'em Out Struggle (That's the Garcello everyone was talking about). They're not too hard, the beats are sick, overall pretty chill mods that you can have fun with without grinding. Hazy River is a compilation of two mods (vs. Annie (remaster) and SEoS), so you can just go for SEoS itself if you dont wanna do a 2 in 1
Hey Phil, it's good to see you finally try out this game and I'm glad you enjoyed it! Now with that being said at the end of your stream you asked for mod recommendations so I'm here to give you some. -17 buckS, this mod has a unique art style and music vibe -Jeffy's endless aethos, this song genuinly gives me chills ngl especially at the lyrics part -Sonic Legacy, it's just a normal sonic mod :) - VS. Ourple Guy v3, again another mod with a unique art style and all of the songs go hard (especially the last one) -Friday Night Crunchin, this mod is based off of that one cereal meme (can't remember the name) with some rly cool freeplay songs) -VS Imposter v4, this mod is based off of the game "among us" and clearly has a lot of passion put into it with it taking almost 2-3 years to make -Funk Space, this is a mod based off of the game "omori", the devs said this mod shouldn't spoil the game so you should be fine but if you haven't played the game you should prob play the game first (though warning: this game is very very very long lol) -Mario's Madness V2, yes this mod is a "Mario.exe" mod lol but a really cool one with a lot of love and passion put into it. Thought this mod is kinda hard in some songs so it's fine you don't play it -Wednesday Infidelity, this mod is based off of that "un alive" Mickey Mouse creepy pasta and it is really high quality -Hotline 024, this mod has some of the best music in the entire community with the main composer "Saruky" even ended up being chosen to help on the base game. -Indie Cross, this mod is one of those mods where it doesn't even feel like a mod, like it feels like it's own game with cutscenes and what not including characters like cuphead, sans, and bendy, an the even an update coming later this year! -VS Tricky, this mod is an og mod based on "Tricky" from "madness combat" that everyone love and even still hold up to this day And yeah that's it, there more mods out there but A: I can't remember any rn, and B: I've already written up a whole 800 chapter book so I'm gonna end it here. I hope you have a good rest of your day and good luck on that banban stream, try not to end the stream in 20 mins 😅.
@@fraymakerfan3628 They're gonna update Indie Cross???? I assumed the Cuphead, Sans, and Bendy levels were the full experience. Have they added anything besides that??? Regardless, extremely excited for that considering Hollow Knight is my favorite game ever. Have they said what character you're gonna rap battle against? Surely not The Knight or The Hollow Knight as they have no voice (to cry suffering). Unless HK is infected, in which case Radiance can rap battle through them.
^^^ Based on teasers, it kind of alluded to being Hornet. >We have no clue on anything else going besides a joke song and a Celeste song that's gonna be in Freeplay.
hazy river is a good mod for what you are looking for, it is pretty easy and a nice chill bop. hex would also be good but it does have some harder moments, second week is very much harder.
I’m late as hell to this but you can turn on down scroll it helps me a lot to watch the notes fall into place rather than them going up as well as changing your controls to feel more comfortable to you personally I love watching someone new to rhythm games you are doing great
@@ivoneo2806 (for some reason my comment didn't went through the first time) im happy that the community got better since the early days of fnf, but im sure there are people that will see it the same as before no matter what.
Play rest of the bit single mod, there are 4 other songs there And secony there is a mod called rodentrap and its Sonic mod where they imitate adventure era Sonic art with that newgroud like look İts 2 songs but it has an easy mode and the second song has lyrics and its really cool
as someone who legit learned how to play rhythm games for fnf i can suggest these mods that are all very high quality. rodentrap, hotline o24, hazy river, one shot mania, marios madness v2, vs imposter v4, hypnos lullaby v2. most of those having ghost tapping and easy modes
As someone who is also bad a rhythm games, congrats on making it through so much of the game on normal mode! This game has good music and I kinda forgot that it did. So, kinda thanks for reminding me of that.
I think FNF is a great example of the “this thing is actually pretty cool when you don’t have annoying people yelling at you about how it sucks” effect
Indie Cross is an INCREDIBLY great mod that has easy difficulty selections. And as you can probably tell by the name, it's a cross of indie games. There's a cuphead week, Sans week, and a Bendy week. It also has a lot of extra freeplay songs thatcare really fun, and the mkd has good cutscene + is visually appealing. If there's any rrally good mod to play out there it's Indie Cross.
Really happy to see you enjoyed playing fnf! Some cool mods I haven't seen anyone recommend are Friday Night Crunchin', Hotline 024 (my favorite mod), Twinsomnia (really charming and beginner friendly mod), Rodentrap and Kapi. Also other people have said it but Vs. Impostor is an awesome mod ou should totally check out!
Mods I would recommend are going to be: - Imposter V4 - Indie Cross - Doki Doki Takeover - Whitty - RodentRap (It's a demo but a very good one) And well... 2:13:13, that was a funkin lie. :_
im so happy phil found monster cool cause he is such a underrated character and is my favorite character in the franchise hes what got me into fnf btw the person who composed monsters songs is bassetfilms who makes music like monsters songs on his channel
Glad you had fun with the game Phil! I highly suggest trying out the Hazy River mod, it is pretty beginner friendly and is full of very good songs. It also includes two staple characters in the community, Garcello and Annie, and I think you will like them!
Is Sonic.EXE really that popular with gen alpha? I’m not really in the creepypasta fandom anymore but I remember getting into it like what, 8 or 9 years ago? Sonic.EXE wasn’t like a huge thing but everyone knew about him, like even if you didn’t see him often he was like this looming specter almost and it’s weird to think that he’s actually popular. Of course there was content and mods about him but it was almost in its own little corner away from everything else that we didn’t talk about but all knew was there. That was my experience at least. Also update after almost finishing the vod, you did really well! I legit had to skip week 2 when I played because it was too hard for me and I never finished the game.
Three mods that I would recommend are Hotline 024, vs. Gorefeild (based on lumpy touch's animation), and maybe VS. Dave and Bambi 3.5 when it comes out (don't play the three secret songs. They forcefully turn off ghost tapping.).
Mods that I would recommend: - D-sides (Yes, this mod has an easy mode for most of the songs and ghost tapping) - Vs Whitty: Definitive Edition - Vs Peppino - Rodentrap - Mario Madness (It has ghost tapping and if you're stuck in a song, Luigi helps you out just like in Mario Maker 2) - Ourple Guy - 17 Bucks - Friday Night Dustin' - Infernal Bout (Vs Bowser)
Good Stream! Very surreal to see the base game updated after all this time. I would recommend Friday Night Funkin: Madness because the songs are bangers, but it’s also pretty hard so I advise not touching it since your still kind of new to this.
Man, I was NOT expecting Phil of all people to play this game lol... One mod I highly recommend is The Trollge Files/Blueballs Incident. It's difficult, but it has a botplay option, which I recommend turning on because the mod's story is INCREDIBLE!!! Easily my favorite horror mod and I can't recommend it enough.
41:36 Trust me, Monster is very popular in the fandom, basically all the remix mods have their own lyric songs for whenever his analogue shows up; he's mostly front and center in the 5 million different takes of the Corruption mod though, all thanks to the creepy GF head stuck on the tree in Week 5's third song
So for mod recommendations, here is a small list of some classics as well as some of my personal favs: Indie Cross, Mario's Madness, Hypnos Lullaby, Whitty, Tricky, Garcello AKA Hazy River, Imposter, and yes.. VS Sonic.exe (be warned if you play that, the '2.5' build is buggy & unfinished due to the mod being cancelled)
Indie cross is a really good mod You should try it out It has a lot of mechanics in it though, but you can turn them off in the options menu and Mario’s madness it’s kind of hard but you can enable bot play
"THEY SPEND ALL THE MONEY ON CRACK BUAAAA"thank god nobody says that, and idk why but seen you play this and see you fail every damn time was actually funny, but hey at least you are a little little better than before. take your prize my baby.
vs Tricky is one of the most iconic fnf mods and probably one of the earliest! it got developed for suuuch a long time and just is all around an awesome mod with great visuals and game play (and it has multiple difficulties if hard is too hard!) Another mod that I don't expect you'd have any interest in but im throwing out there anyway is Vs Impostor. It's really, REALLY dumb . but god if it isnt some of the most HIGH QUALITY SHIT I've ever seen. it's actually ridiculous how high quality it is.
I'm suprised nobody's really suggested it much but I'd actually genuinely highly recommend Mario's Madness, especially considering you seemed to enjoy Silly Billy. Its got some great songs in it and a number of obscure references (not all just creepypasta stuff as well), and to top it all off if any tracks give you too much trouble (It is a pretty difficult mod) there is an assist mode you can use to essentially skip those ones. It's a genuinely great showcase of what the community has been capable of creating within the bounds of the existing engine. Sonic Legacy is good as well, a nice (currently) short mod with a few neat songs that don't have any major gimmicks to it. On that same vein Hypno's Lullaby is also really good but I'm not sure you're gonna be able to handle that one because nearly every song as a unique gimmick that you have to contend with.
A fun but balanced mod is fnf vs Mami! Like seriously they have top notch songs from the Madoka Magica anime and they have nice art style and a new difficulty. On the mod on song #3 there’s something surprising. Check it out as I don’t want to spoil the secret…
I'm honestly surprised that you even streamed base game and also had a fun time with it, and because you asked at the end of the stream I bring you THREE suggestions. They all use a fan-made engine called "Psych Engine" which pretty much has ghost tapping so you can either turn that on or off if you want 1. Seek's Cool Deltarune Mod | Like the title says a cool deltarune mod - has difficulty modes but most of the songs kinda just either go to normal or only have harder versions. 2. Twinsomnia | a good OC mod - Has a Normal mode but it doesn't seem to have any differences from Hard. 3. OneShot Mania - Liminal Starwave | a short yet simple mod based on Ena - Has no difficulty modes.
Once you get a little better, I HIGHLY recommend D-Sides and Martian Mixtape. Two mods which I think perfectly match the charm of the original and have some bangers. They're both a bit harder than vanilla, but they still have difficulty options (albeit they're about as impactful as the week 7 and weekend difficulties)
Glad to see you like FNF. For some mod requests, try out some of the remix mods, like A-Sides, Arrow Funk, D-Sides and DJX, and some cool mods like Antipathy, VS Void, and some Pibby mods like Darkness Takeover and Pibby Apocalypse.
Here's some mod recoomendations: Hex mod: 2 weeks and pretty beginner friendly (althoug the last Song Is pretty tricky) B side/Neo mods: 2 mods which focus on remixing the songs and making them slightly harder; I'll be not that much (They are still pretty much the same songs thoug, so I can see why you'd skip them Bob mod: A mod meant to parody the average fnf mod, despite the third Song; the rest of the mod is for the most part chill Whitty revamped: A classic mod but now the third song's charting isn't abysimal (plus if you still struggle, I do think there's an Easy mode) Hazy river: A package of 2 mods: Garcello and Annie; very chill and relaxed songs Indie cross: Very good mod but the mechanics can be way too much to deal with; thankfully you can turn them off I tried to pick relatively easy mods, but some are pretty challenging and might require lowering difficulties (Man, It feels so weird to think positively about fnf in 2024, I feel sick in my soul) Edit: Bob and Bosip Is also a pretty simple mod but it's main creator was a PDF file so do with that what you will
Mods: -Whitty -Tricky -Smoke Em Out Struggle -Indie Cross -Blueballs Incident -FNF HD idk read the other comments. Also, I think these mods have a “Bot Mode” in their options, which just automates the note tapping. I don’t know though, it’s been a while since I was up to date in the mod community.
Unironically, Mario's madness v2 is a pretty kickass mod with some great art and good songs, despite how stupid it is with mario exes and all. The difficulty is alright in some parts, but it is pretty hard in some other parts, especially twords the final areas. So I wouldn't necessarily recommend playing it for a stream, but if you decide to then good luck Edit: forgot to mention that after a certain amount of deaths on a song that isnt the first week, it will give you a prompt that will say yes or no for the mod to play the song for you
Hey Phil! Just so you know you missed a cutscene, it was suppose to play before the pico and Darnell fought! It prob was a bug tho! The devs did decide to release weekend 1 + erect remixes from the game suddenly after earlier scrapping this update in favor of working toward the full ass game! Also inside of the menu there is settings! Inside there you can set your keybinds to be anything you want! You can also activate down scroll where the notes go down instead of up!
Alright, here are some of my all time favourite mods for you Phil! These all have ghost-tapping so no need to worry. Graffiti Groovin' (My all time favourite), Hotline024, Friday Night Fever Frenzy, Vs Hex, Hazy River, Twinsomnia, Vs Tricky and Vs Whitty! Hope this helps!
If you want the absolute pillars of the community, that would be tricky v2 and vs impostor v4. the issue is that those mods are pretty hard (especially tricky). some easy mods are hex and hazy river (vs annie and garcello)
I have a few mod recommendations for you Phil that show the best of the community, some that are very challenging but also some that could be easy for you: VS OURPLE GUY V3 (YOU PLAYED THIS ONE LAST STREAM BUT IT GOT AN UPDATE AND NOW IT'S SO GOOD) MARIO MADNESS V2 FINISH HIT SINGLE AND PLAY GARN47 IT UNLOCKS MORE SONGS ONE SHOT MANIA (IT HAS MADNESS COMBAT CONTENT IN IT) FUNKIN' FORTRESS (A TF2 FNF MOD THAT'S VERY SMALL AND SIMPLE BUT THE PRESENTATION IS SO GOOD) D SIDES (IT'S A REVAMP OF THE BASE GAME AND SOME OTHER MODS SO IT WILL HAVE SOME EASY AND CHALLENGING SONGS) AND HOTLINE 024 (IT'S JUST THAT GOOD) And that's it! Hopefully you play some of these on stream! All of these mods should have ghost tapping as it's a part of the engine they were made in, mostly being Psych Engine.
I think it would be cool to see you play vs Gorefield, and Gorefield end of abuse, though I would recommend starting with End of abuse first due to how vs Gorefield can be pretty hard at certain parts.
Watching this stream was a blast, as for a mod I would recommend, I would HIGHLY recommend Holofunk, a hololive mod that started very small and niche, to something special, and yes, there is easy, normal and hard difficulties, so don't worry about that one.
>Ghost Tapping >Easy Mode Alright; that actually opens up a lot of options! Most of the "hard" mods tend to have at least an option to enable ghost tapping as well as an option to disable their harder mechanics; Which opens up my personal recommendation: Vs. Gorefield V2. It's a very high quality mod, it has a lot of songs, and the existance of both ghost tapping and a button to disable mechanics and gimmicks make it pretty acessible for beginners, and yes; Ghost Tapping does allow you to key-mash your way through the entire mod, So there's no pressure on you to enjoy the full plotline and music if that's what you're looking for! Also, you might want to test out Downscroll in your free time at some point off-stream; It only makes the notes come down instead of up. This is more depending on the person, so it might or not help you; But i personally and a lot of other people find it easier to read the chart through downscroll. That's it for that little ramble; Very fun stream, glad you had fun with the game!
Based Stream! I think you should continue the hit single real mod since they’re some songs left (about 10 of them and 4 songs have to be unlocked by playing that garn47 game that popped up) But I’ll still recommend some more mods that you might get interested in (and mods that you can actually play without playing the same song for 3 hours) - Friday Night Crunchin’ V3 (It’s a love letter to early 2010’s memes like trollface and cereal guy) - Fnf Classified (A good Mario mod, pretty simple too unlike Mario’s madness V2) - Fnf Rodentrap (A good sonic. mod without any over exaggerated edgy stuff, has 2 songs currently) - Fnf Vs Ourple guy V3 (This Fnaf mod has a lot of bangers and cool visuals, also he ourple) - Vs Boy and Girl (Good and easy Oc mod like garcello/hazy river, lemon monster is in it!) - Fnf poopsh*tters (A surprisingly good Undertale mod, all are pretty easy except for one song)
BTW when you die you can hear this "Looky what we got in here!" "I-I-I can't believe what I'm seeing." "O-O-O OMG! Save me." "Yeah, I said I'm not the best" "Umm, what's going on?" First time watch this channel and i gotta say, i never saw an avatar react so in sync with the expression of your voice. How do you do that? I find it amazing! (If you already answered this in this video then no need to reply, I'll just watch the rest of it)
did not expect you to play hit single during this, though hey, nothing wrong with that mod getting more attention lol anyways it's cool that you actually seemed to really enjoy the game during this stream, i've always loved this game myself and it's a game that has influenced a lot of aspects of my time being on the internet (in terms of video content, my art style, etc.), and it's nice to see people just having fun with the game rather than just focusing on it being "cringe" or the community being a mess sometimes i'm curious to see what mods and such you'll be playing later on cause I genuinely think this could be a fun stream series if you wanna keep this going, some more recent mods i've enjoyed that i haven't seen people bring up yet would be Graffiti Groovin' and Friday Night Crunchin', they're pretty fun mods, but they can also be pretty challenging as a bit of a warning (EDIT: you should also check out OneFunk, it's a OneShot FNF mod currently in its demo phase and it is extremely promising)
Yeah and focuses more on the good side of the community ( in my opinion l wouldn't necessarily say a mess sometimes just flaws in my opinion) I agree with the mod recommendations
Martian mixtape is genuinely great, difficulty and quality is similar to weeks 1 to 6 of the main game I’d say, dunno if there’s an easy mode though, I never checked if those worked for most songs, but they do exist for the first week it’s absolutely one of my favorite mods but not many people check out the updates they made to it and I have no idea why
Here's my mod recommendation: -Hazy River (nice mod and it's pretty easy) -Hotline 024 (good music and visuals, it's kinda difficult but I think you could pass throught it by mashing keys lol) -Indie Cross (yeah, it's VERY difficult, but there's an option to deactivate all weird mechanics, so don't worry about it) And that's it, I've been waiting for another FNF stream since last year's stream, it was nice to see you play the new update :D!!
Watching Phil play a rhythm game is like watching a four-legged creature stand on one leg.
This is my comment now. I will steal it

@@KaressmaBawls I vote [Q] for Mario
Great to see that Phil is overcoming his skill issue and actually gets better at rhythm games.
If you want some good mods, try Garcello. It's good for people who just starting to get good and still give you a fair challenge.
Hope to see more rhythm games in the future
The story in it is also really good
You mean Hazy River, yes
Definitely “Hazy River” version. More complete version and combined with the creators OTHER mod “Anny”, so it’s just a bigger, better experience.
W Picks. 😎
He also needs to continue with Hit Single

OK so!!
some advice, an issue I see a lot with newer players is that they jam their fingers hard into their keyboard. this results in your hands starting to hurt a lot. what you wanna do is use as little pressure as you can to press down a key, and let the pressure of the keypress bounce your finger back up. if thats too much right now, just focus on being light on your hands.
This mod was taken off for a while, but it got a glowup and was re-release! there are easy and normal modes, so don't worry too hard about having a rough time.
vs tricky! you already talked about wanting to do this one, and thankfully it has an easy and normal mode. very high quality too!
some mods to maybe look at later maybe
Hotline 024! This mod was primarily made by Saruky, who has now worked with the devs on some of the erect remixes. their work is really good and this mod is very stylistically good!!! songs are great, though a lack of alternate difficulties may give you a hard time.
Vs Camellia. this absolutely isn't a mod you should check out right now... buuuuut it is one of my favorites. its the mod I used to practice with for a long time and its still got some of my favorite jams. they probably aren't your style, buuut Im leaving this here just to say its cool!!!
youtube is lagging out the longer I type so just remember to have fun! this stream was a blast!
Camellia mod is good, but I heard the covers have copyright stuff, did anything come of that? And, you know, the fact that it uses actual insane rhythm game charting
@@gamejitzu this is the first I've heard of it, looking into this now.
just glancing around to figure things out, I belive the two songs you might have to look out for dmca wise are Lioness pride from the hololive collab, and tremENDous. only reason is they're the two songs I can't find in the camellia dmca free playlist (and google not really helping)
Going off what you said at the end of the stream for mod requests, I feel like mods such as Hotline 024 and Friday night troubleshootin' are both REALLY GOOD and accessible mods! madness combat wise, there IS the antipathy hank mod if vs tricky ends up being too difficult, which I find to be very good as well! Other then that there's the vs online challenges, and hypnos lullaby, which are both VERY good but might be difficult for newcomers...
Also, I think it'd be very cool if you gave INDIE CROSS a shot, for personal reasons :) Can't wait to see your thoughts on the modding space!

Glad you tried to give this game a chance Phil! Despite the modding community having super difficult mods most of the time, there are easier yet still high quality mods you could still play such as:
- Smoke Em Out Struggle (V.S Garcello)
- V.S Cassette Girl
- Hotline 024
- Indie Cross
The last two are harder than the first, but there's an easy difficulty you could select when you're having a hard time!
Fun stream, glad you liked the game!
One mod I highly recommend is Hazy River, it’s an anniversary rerelease of Garcello with bonus content!
Also, I can chart an easy mode for Tricky if you want

Bro what the fuck do you mean
Alright, so here are some of my mod recommendations as a long time fan:
- Smoke Em Out Struggle (Vs.
-Vs. Hex, this one is super charming and easy (except for that one song of the second week)
-And finally...Vs. Whitty, yeahhh so first of all it DOES have an easy mode but its pretty challenging nonetheless, and its also like the first mod to become really popular and it inspired many many mods going forward so it would be fun to check out.
EDIT: I FORGOT ABOUT HOTLINE 024, yes this one is really worth checking out as well its great, it has some amazing tracks and its creator now works on the base game as a composer!
twinsomnia is a good one
Yeah, that song in the hex mod (Detected I think it was called) is no joke.
you just listed a few of the hardest mods out there for beginners
@@elgatitokawai55 every one of them except for online vs. has an easy mode and indie cross even lets you turn off the mechanics

some fun facts about hit single: The silly billy mode was made as tribute to a passed away developer and also the intro animation was animated on a phone!
Also some mod recs
Tricky Mod (I know you got scared there but there IS an easy mode)
Hex (the first section of the mod is very beginner friendly, plus it has a normal and easy mode!!)
Garcello (also pretty beginner friendly with normal and easy modes at least in my memory)
Whitty (i feel like this is something everyone has to experience... yes there's an easy mode LOL)
seeing someone like phisnom have to contain their hype for silly billy does something to my soul
Doki Doki Takeover Plus is one of my favorites and worth checking out.

They’re classics.

i love seeing people just enjoy something, this was fantastic
I'd 100% recommend Spooky's Saturday Scare. A really charming mod about Spooky's Jumpscare Mansion. With really cool mechanics as well
So, Phillip mortgage said he wanted a list of mods to try, here’s mine, I know it’s long but that’s just because of my commentary on each, I also added a difficulty ranking to give you an idea of it, hopefully it helps:
--------------
• *My favorite mod ever:
Vs. Fuckboy, hallows Eve*
Fuckboy, or FB (get it? Like BF backwards) is basically the shadow to bf’s sonic, it’s a really fun mod with some AMAZING music! I recommend it so so much you have no idea, it has the Aztrolotl seal of approval
Diff (difficulty): 3/5?
• *Vs. Whitty Definitive edition*
A staple of the fnf community, one of the first full week fnf mods, if it wasn’t for whitty, the community wouldn’t be what it is today
Diff: 3/5, aside from *that* song
• *Twinsomnia*
From the creator of Whitty, another really good mod, pretty easy too (imo)
Diff: 2.5/5
• *Hazy river (also known as garcello)*
A very chill mod featuring two ocs, garcello and Annie, the mod is really nice I love it, Annie’s week is harder than garcello’s but not by much
Difficulty: 2/5
• *Vs cassette girl*
Really good mod, sadly the creator of cassette girl is not a good person sooooo idk, still people seem to be fine with her as a character? Not sure
Difficulty: 2.5/5
• *Ghouls n’ grooves*
my friend made this one it’s great you’ll love it, it’s only one song too, it was made for a mod jam, which is a game jam but for the fnf community, the theme of this mod jam was “reflection”
Difficulty: 3/5
• *Vs. Hex weekend update*
Chill mod, cool oc
Difficulty: 2.5/5, aside from *that one* song
• *Vs. Chara demo 2.0*
It’s a pretty good mod, but it can prove challenging
Diff: 3.5/5, maybe even 4
• *Seek’s cool deltarune mod*
As the name suggests, this is a cool deltarune mod made by a guy called seek, it features scenarios from deltarune and some from fan bosses, it’s pretty cool
Diff: not sure, 3.5?
Funki Funki karaoke club
Another friend of mine made this one, if the name didn’t make it obvious, it’s a DDLC mod, just one song though, pretty good quality!
Diff: 3/5
• *FNF Online Vs*
basically it’s a mod with unique one shot (one shot means only 1 song, not full weeks) songs and also online mode
These one shots include:
-Hank from madness combat
-Edd from Eddsworld
-Alien hominid from - well you get it, etc.
Issue is, it’s pretty challenging, and doesn’t have ghost tapping, or easy mode, but you could always just look up a video of it or something
Diff: 4/5?
• *Fnf: D-sides (4 sided cassette-?)*
D sides is a remix mod, a remix mod is a mod that remixes both the designs, story and music of original fnf, it’s fun seeing how the designs parallel each other and the music is good too, it’s basically as long as og fnf, bit harder though, also some extra songs featuring collabs with other mods!
Diff: whatever you rank base fnf as +1/5
my suggestions :)
mcmadness - this ones against ronald mcdonald but took me so long to complete also in freeplay theres a level called "deaf to all but the ronald" which is crazy and all the arrows move around and stuff
twinsomnia - cute artstyle and fast and upbeat songs fairly easy to complete
laceys dream - based off of lacey games horror flash game the songs are SUCH a vibe
late night city tales - pretty hard with really swag songs
Even if Phil only plays a little bit of the mod he should definitely try Hotline 024, some of the best music in any mod

One FnF mod i HIGHLY recommend is vs Garcello. Its one of the oldest mods i know and a pretty beginner friendly one too.
So the Hazy River mod
-17 buckS, this mod has a unique art style and music vibe
-Jeffy's endless aethos, this song genuinly gives me chills ngl especially at the lyrics part
-Sonic Legacy, it's just a normal sonic mod :)
- VS. Ourple Guy v3, again another mod with a unique art style and all of the songs go hard (especially the last one)
-Friday Night Crunchin, this mod is based off of that one cereal meme (can't remember the name) with some rly cool freeplay songs)
-VS Imposter v4, this mod is based off of the game "among us" and clearly has a lot of passion put into it with it taking almost 2-3 years to make
-Funk Space, this is a mod based off of the game "omori", the devs said this mod shouldn't spoil the game so you should be fine but if you haven't played the game you should prob play the game first (though warning: this game is very very very long lol)
-Mario's Madness V2, yes this mod is a "Mario.exe" mod lol but a really cool one with a lot of love and passion put into it. Thought this mod is kinda hard in some songs so it's fine you don't play it
-Wednesday Infidelity, this mod is based off of that "un alive" Mickey Mouse creepy pasta and it is really high quality
-Hotline 024, this mod has some of the best music in the entire community with the main composer "Saruky" even ended up being chosen to help on the base game.
-Indie Cross, this mod is one of those mods where it doesn't even feel like a mod, like it feels like it's own game with cutscenes and what not including characters like cuphead, sans, and bendy, an the even an update coming later this year!
-VS Tricky, this mod is an og mod based on "Tricky" from "madness combat" that everyone love and even still hold up to this day
And yeah that's it, there more mods out there but A: I can't remember any rn, and B: I've already written up a whole 800 chapter book so I'm gonna end it here. I hope you have a good rest of your day and good luck on that banban stream, try not to end the stream in 20 mins 😅.

You are so good at this😂😊
Mods that I would recommend:
- D-sides (Yes, this mod has an easy mode for most of the songs and ghost tapping)
- Vs Whitty: Definitive Edition
- Vs Peppino
- Rodentrap
- Mario Madness (It has ghost tapping and if you're stuck in a song, Luigi helps you out just like in Mario Maker 2)
- Ourple Guy
- 17 Bucks
- Friday Night Dustin'
- Infernal Bout (Vs Bowser)
Too bad you didnt stay enough to see the secret game you get after beating Silly Billy
Car is so silly
Phis, I recommend “Seeks Cool Deltarune Mod” when you practice a bit more. It can be a tiny bit difficult, but it’s fun.
So for mod recommendations, here is a small list of some classics as well as some of my personal favs:
Indie Cross, Mario's Madness, Hypnos Lullaby, Whitty, Tricky, Garcello AKA Hazy River, Imposter, and yes..
"THEY SPEND ALL THE MONEY ON CRACK BUAAAA"thank god nobody says that, and idk why but seen you play this and see you fail every damn time was actually funny, but hey at least you are a little little better than before. take your prize my baby.
vs Tricky is one of the most iconic fnf mods and probably one of the earliest! it got developed for suuuch a long time and just is all around an awesome mod with great visuals and game play (and it has multiple difficulties if hard is too hard!)
Another mod that I don't expect you'd have any interest in but im throwing out there anyway is Vs Impostor.
I cosplayed as the monster from week 2 and 5 for Comic Con one year.
A fun but balanced mod is fnf vs Mami! Like seriously they have top notch songs from the Madoka Magica anime and they have nice art style and a new difficulty. On the mod on song #3 there’s something surprising. Check it out as I don’t want to spoil the secret…
Cant wait for mario's madness playthrough
I'm honestly surprised that you even streamed base game and also had a fun time with it, and because you asked at the end of the stream I bring you THREE suggestions.
They all use a fan-made engine called "Psych Engine" which pretty much has ghost tapping so you can either turn that on or off if you want
Here's some mod recoomendations:
Hex mod: 2 weeks and pretty beginner friendly (althoug the last Song Is pretty tricky)
B side/Neo mods: 2 mods which focus on remixing the songs and making them slightly harder; I'll be not that much (They are still pretty much the same songs thoug, so I can see why you'd skip them
Bob mod: A mod meant to parody the average fnf mod, despite the third Song; the rest of the mod is for the most part chill
Whitty revamped: A classic mod but now the third song's charting isn't abysimal (plus if you still struggle, I do think there's an Easy mode)
Hazy river: A package of 2 mods: Garcello and Annie; very chill and relaxed songs
Indie cross: Very good mod but the mechanics can be way too much to deal with; thankfully you can turn them off
I tried to pick relatively easy mods, but some are pretty challenging and might require lowering difficulties
(Man, It feels so weird to think positively about fnf in 2024, I feel sick in my soul)
Edit: Bob and Bosip Is also a pretty simple mod but it's main creator was a PDF file so do with that what you will
Mods:
-Whitty
-Tricky
-Smoke Em Out Struggle
-Indie Cross
-Blueballs Incident
-FNF HD
idk read the other comments.
So I wouldn't necessarily recommend playing it for a stream, but if you decide to then good luck
Edit: forgot to mention that after a certain amount of deaths on a song that isnt the first week, it will give you a prompt that will say yes or no for the mod to play the song for you
You can also activate down scroll where the notes go down instead of up!
btw Garn47 is a whole ass game that lets you unlock more stuff for Hit Single, i am not kidding, it's a crackshow
I have a few mod recommendations for you Phil that show the best of the community, some that are very challenging but also some that could be easy for you:
VS OURPLE GUY V3 (YOU PLAYED THIS ONE LAST STREAM BUT IT GOT AN UPDATE AND NOW IT'S SO GOOD)
MARIO MADNESS V2
FINISH HIT SINGLE AND PLAY GARN47 IT UNLOCKS MORE SONGS
ONE SHOT MANIA (IT HAS MADNESS COMBAT CONTENT IN IT)
FUNKIN' FORTRESS (A TF2 FNF MOD THAT'S VERY SMALL AND SIMPLE BUT THE PRESENTATION IS SO GOOD)
D SIDES (IT'S A REVAMP OF THE BASE GAME AND SOME OTHER MODS SO IT WILL HAVE SOME EASY AND CHALLENGING SONGS)
AND HOTLINE 024 (IT'S JUST THAT GOOD)
And that's it!
Cassette Girl is a really good fun mod that's focused on fun/easier charts, Garcello is really good as is Hotline 024.
Watching this stream was a blast, as for a mod I would recommend, I would HIGHLY recommend Holofunk, a hololive mod that started very small and niche, to something special, and yes, there is easy, normal and hard difficulties, so don't worry about that one.
>Ghost Tapping
>Easy Mode
Alright; that actually opens up a lot of options!
He needs to play Cyber Sensation WE ARE SO UPPPP 🗣️🔥🔥
Based Stream!
I think you should continue the hit single real mod since they’re some songs left (about 10 of them and 4 songs have to be unlocked by playing that garn47 game that popped up)
But I’ll still recommend some more mods that you might get interested in (and mods that you can actually play without playing the same song for 3 hours)
- Friday Night Crunchin’ V3 (It’s a love letter to early 2010’s memes like trollface and cereal guy)
- Fnf Classified (A good Mario mod, pretty simple too unlike Mario’s madness V2)
- Fnf Rodentrap (A good sonic. mod without any over exaggerated edgy stuff, has 2 songs currently)
- Fnf Vs Ourple guy V3 (This Fnaf mod has a lot of bangers and cool visuals, also he ourple)
- Vs Boy and Girl (Good and easy Oc mod like garcello/hazy river, lemon monster is in it!)
- Fnf poopsh*tters (A surprisingly good Undertale mod, all are pretty easy except for one song)
Also just have fun and don’t get too serious about the funny beep boop bep game
praying he plays the rest of hit single other than just silly billy
BTW when you die you can hear this "Looky what we got in here!"
"I-I-I can't believe what I'm seeing."
"O-O-O OMG! Save me."
"Yeah, I said I'm not the best"
"Umm, what's going on?"
"I got money on me, got money in my pockets and a king's suite."
"Yeah, I said I'm not the best"
"O-O-O OMG! Save me." ALSO when you die on the spray can there is different dead animation
ALSO AT 2:01:33 pico fakes that he is gonna punch him and then mocks him
First time watch this channel and i gotta say, i never saw an avatar react so in sync with the expression of your voice. How do you do that? I find it amazing! (If you already answered this in this video then no need to reply, I'll just watch the rest of it)
Rare footage of Phil not dissecting a games organs and selling them on the black market.
I would recommend the Gorefield V2 mod; there is an easier mode that removes all the mechanics.
Monster (3rd song on 2nd week) is definitely the song i wanted to hear at 2 o clock at night, more specifically the beginning 🥲
did not expect you to play hit single during this, though hey, nothing wrong with that mod getting more attention lol
anyways it's cool that you actually seemed to really enjoy the game during this stream, i've always loved this game myself and it's a game that has influenced a lot of aspects of my time being on the internet (in terms of video content, my art style, etc.), and it's nice to see people just having fun with the game rather than just focusing on it being "cringe" or the community being a mess sometimes
i'm curious to see what mods and such you'll be playing later on cause I genuinely think this could be a fun stream series if you wanna keep this going, some more recent mods i've enjoyed that i haven't seen people bring up yet would be Graffiti Groovin' and Friday Night Crunchin', they're pretty fun mods, but they can also be pretty challenging as a bit of a warning
(EDIT: you should also check out OneFunk, it's a OneShot FNF mod currently in its demo phase and it is extremely promising)
Yeah and focuses more on the good side of the community ( in my opinion l wouldn't necessarily say a mess sometimes just flaws in my opinion) I agree with the mod recommendations
Martian mixtape is genuinely great, difficulty and quality is similar to weeks 1 to 6 of the main game I’d say, dunno if there’s an easy mode though, I never checked if those worked for most songs, but they do exist for the first week
it’s absolutely one of my favorite mods but not many people check out the updates they made to it and I have no idea why
Here's my mod recommendation:
-Hazy River (nice mod and it's pretty easy)
-Hotline 024 (good music and visuals, it's kinda difficult but I think you could pass throught it by mashing keys lol)
-Indie Cross (yeah, it's VERY difficult, but there's an option to deactivate all weird mechanics, so don't worry about it)
And that's it, I've been waiting for another FNF stream since last year's stream, it was nice to see you play the new update :D!!
