Great post, Stefan. I will be getting that Seinfeld set. I saw the trailer Hellboy The Crooked Man. It looks like a dark film story-wise. I already ordered it. 😎
I didn't know hellboy the crooked man was out physically. I definitely want it. The movie looks good to me. Heard that it's based off of the graphic novel. I hope it sells well. So maybe we can get more. I saw that Seinfeld is getting a 4k physical release. It's interesting for sure to see that happen.
Does the 1080p Blu-ray set use the original broadcast 4:3 aspect ratio? I noticed with the DVDs, the episodes are in the order of production number, not broadcast number. Is that the same with the Blu-ray set?
it is. they're using the Widescreen masters made a while ago. meanwhile, the concurrent 4K release has the correct 4:3 aspect ratio. i guess its Sony's way to convince people to upgrade.

How does Seinfeld look on Blu-ray? Im debating on blu-ray or 4k
At 3:56 you're Seinfeld season 9 dvd box says season 8 on the spine
No, it says 'Volume 8'. The Seinfeld DVDs come in 8 volumes- seasons 1 & 2 are together as volume 1, season 3 is volume 2, season 4 is volume 3, ect.

1080p Blu rat uses the 1.85:1 aspect ratio. The 4k set uses original broadcast 4:3 ar.
@@FiftyShadesOfDave6603I prefer the original 4:3 aspect ratio and will stick with the DVDs. I never upgraded to a 4K player and discs, expensive.
Isn't this Seinfeld blu-ray release botched by a wrong, cropped aspect ratio?

Yes, that's why I mention checking out both versions to determine which one works best for you.
