Felipe Tafolla haha this one was interesting and kicked my butt for a bit. Figured I would make a video so hopefully it could help out someone in the future.
Ulises Palacios nice . So even with the pin closed , refrigerant would still leaked by ? I’ve seen it on liquid solenoid valves , few times , since I work on smaller stuff . Good shit shout out from SoCal 😎
I’m having the exact same issue with a 09’ cgam120. I looked on 360 for parts but there is 3 different part numbers for modules and motors. Do you remember the part numbers for the angle valve and the stepper motor?
Creative Tradesman what’s the serial number. I just replaced one on a 70 ton yesterday. You will need to order the part number that starts with Val and it’s a good idea to replace the module as well
I used a Klein skinny jaw adjusted wrench to Hold the valve on the flat spots and a dang pipe wrench to loosen the motorized part of the valve. I heard a crows foot works also
hi ULises i have the same issue with cgam 70 machine ,chiller loading alarm of loss of charge.even the parameters are ok. some time chiller load alarm after 24 hours some time 16 hours.i had replaced suction sensor and transducer.still same issue.
There were some software issues with those LLIDS/Controller early on. All you have to do is unbind the EXV and then rebind and download new software to LLID.
Anthony Mastello yup. . I have the bulletin. This chiller didn’t fall into those years but I went ahead and updated the software. It’s a 2017. Have you come across this issue?
Good video. Funny how the seat was worn enough to bleed by. Nice find 💪🏼💪🏼
Welcome back Ulises 😬😁

Thanks for sharing. Interesting how that works.
Good find Ulises 👍
Those exv come a part. When I installed one of those, I took them apart during welding
Those Veto bags are very nice. I own one and I love it.
Really interesting, it seems like it would take some serious effort to damage that seat......
HVACR VIDEOS yeah. I wondered that myself. They are pretty strong motors and I didn’t see any visual damage on the seat surface
Ulises Palacios the needle is stainless and the seat is soft brass, after time and many hard close off’s.....there ya go
Jake Crockett makes sense.
Ulises Palacios thanks for the vids, always enjoy
Jake Crockett thanks 🙏
Very interesting, mate 👍
Hey who's the make of that EEV ?
I'm only used to Carel and some Sporlan ones ?
Sterling Archer thanks. It’s a sporlan seri-j
@@UlisesPalacios cheers , mate , love your vids , man , fantastic job !👍👍👍
What voltage are you using to control the motor, 200 vdc?
Great video thanks
12-14vdc
Thank you
this speed 200 steps/second
where can I see the pinout of the valve connector? what pins do colored wires come to on it?

Ulises Palacios is the stepper motor a MOT or an MOD?
I think I have same problem whit carrier 40 ton chiller. Any way thanks a lot for sharing this video.
Thanks for watching. I’ve had this issue on 2 trane chillers.
What is that tool called to power exv
I’m thinking of getting that SM-12.
What did you use to take the valve apart?

@@UlisesPalacios Thanks!
For sure. They are one there pretty tight.
When you reassemble it. It doesn’t have to be super tight.
Hay do you work whit sporlan seri .. KS EV
Cool. Nice share homie!

@@UlisesPalacios I haven't. Do you know if someone changed the EXV recalibration time in the feature settings?
Anthony Mastello no. It doesn’t look like it. It’s set to every 24 hours.
Anthony Mastello it’s a 2017 CGAM
@@UlisesPalacios okay, yeah default is 24 hours. I'd be worried if someone changed it to a shorter time. Does the chiller short cycle?
What type of chiller was it?
Familia Sanchez HVAC a 2017 CGAm
Good stuff.......
