I definitely think that my adventures with Superman is a great Superman series that understands the character, while doing something different with him. I enjoyed the first season and can't wait for season 2.
I completely agree, MAWS is a great example of doing something pretty different and fresh with a well known character while still respecting the character's original appeal, it's awesome and I hope that season 2 is even better
Personally in my opinion while I did like this show and this is a good first season of my adventures with superman, part of me still thinks we should've gotten that superman family animated show with Clark Lois and my boy Jonathan Samuel Kent superboy as his little 10 year old self going on fun silver age adventures and being a great family. Mostly because well as a huge fan of the superman family that show sounded like everything I ever wanted and also a bonus seeing more of my team super sons in animation would've been really awesome and tons of fun at least in my opinion, but that being said though as for this show I am very intrigue on what's going to happen in season 2 especially with General zod and Braniac now being involve now which does sound really awesome and tons of fun and I am hoping they do stick the landing with season 2 and hey if we do get a season 3 maybe I could get my wish with Clark Kent and Lois lane having their son Jonathan Samuel Kent superboy as his little 10 year old self in that future season which would be really awesome and tons of fun at least in my opinion but that's just me until then I am just going hope for the best pray this series keeps on going and still be great in the future. :)
I still think about that cancelled Superman Family cartoon too, it seemed like it was going to be a show with a tone similar to Batman: The Brave and The Bold that took inspiration from the DC Rebirth run of Superman, which sounded like a show specifically made for me lmao I'm sure I would've loved it, but hopefully we'll still get to see it or a similar Superman Family cartoon in the future, since MAWS is focusing on a young Clark and it's a pretty different concept, there's still room for more versions of him
@@SantiBarrios indeed and as a huge fan of the superman rebirth comics and the superman family as a whole nothing would make me happier but to see that actual superman cartoon come to pass someday because damn it like you said it sounded like a great premise similar to batman brave and bold but with superman and his family, which personally for me as a fan of that cartoon seeing a successor to that show with superman and his family going on fun silver age adventures but with a bonus with my favorite team the super sons with Jonathan Samuel Kent superboy as his little 10 year old self and Damian Wayne Robin going on fun silver age adventures would've been fantastic and tons of fun at least in my opinion.
I agree about Livewire and the Intergang characters being bland. I think they could have cut the cast down to just Livewire and Mist. The plot could progress almost exactly the same way while giving them more time to develop as characters.
I completely agree with your plusses and minuses regarding this series. Though I'd argue the villains wearing similar clothes to tie them all together doesn't even work as an explanation. Shows like Spectacular Spider-Man and Stretch Armstrong and the Flex Fighters had villains tied to one organization/force, yet they still had distinct designs. Still a great show, though.
Absolutely, they still could've connected all the villains while still giving them distinct looks and personalities, my hope is that as the series progresses the villains will also change costumes and evolve just like Clark is progressing and evolving
AMAZING video, your video deserves more recognition. 10 out of 10. I haven't seen it yet, I will watch it. Thank you for explaining the difference in Manga, Anime, ect. Alot of people are not good with specific terminology, based on each country's language and terminology usage.
If this show is a love letter to Superman, then it's ONLY for Superman. For his supporting cast and rogue's gallery, it was last second "Get Well Soon" card after forgetting include them in it. I already have made my own unbiased video on My Adventures With Superman, so I don't want to repeat myself too much, but the Deathstroke impersonator should have been Metallo instead and Amanda Waller should have been Slade Wilson as he and Sam Lane served together in the military. That way the Superman Revenge Squad wouldn't have been turned into another Suicide Squad clone that this would have been an actual Superman show with Superman characters.
I agree! I thought it was a very interesting idea but it's still underdeveloped, I'd legit love for them to give him a full SSJ-like transformation that looks like Electric Blue Superman
This show was awesome, in my opinion it's just as great as Superman The Animated Series and I'm not gonna say it's better than Superman The Animated Series because there is only one season of this show right but if season 2 is another huge banger then I might be more persuaded to say that My Adventures With Superman just might be better than Superman The Animated Series
I completely agree bro, this show has the same great potential as STAS when it debuted, if they get more seasons and the writing keeps improving it might even end up being the best Superman animated series ever. STAS will always be great as well but it's awesome that we got a new show just as great
I love this show! It's such a great turnaround for Clark to not yet truly know what it is to be Superman. Like you said, by the time he meets Lois and starts in Metropolis he is pretty much fully realized as Superman. So this new angle is fascinating to watch. I never knew about the Flamebird angle so that is a fun bit of lore to make the show better. All I knew about Jimmy's weirdness was the Turtleman thing. But I also enjoy all the anime easter eggs they throw in. One that I caught that I doubt many people even noticed was in the first episode with Parasite, when exploring Ivo's lab, in the middle of five tanks you see a partial body of Guyver 1 floating in it. I could also see all this bio-tech leading to the creation of OMAC or Blue Beetle even.
There’s some things I don’t like about the show, when they introduce the multiverse it was like the council of Lois Lanes almost like the citadel in Rick and Morty and the portrayal of some of the villains like Guerrilla Gorilla and The Brain. But I like the show overall.
This series gives a chance for Lex Luthor to become a valuable allied and friend of Superman. The Lex Luthor of this series can have an evil fraternal twin brother who sees Superman as a major threat to Earth. Lex's twin brother falls victim to the Lies told to him by General Zod and Brainiac. Brainiac was the AI who had lead to the destruction of Krypton in the The Adventures of Superman cartoon. Seeing General Zod as an ally of Brainiac is a welcome surprise. The series is set on the Earth known as Earth-12. Earth-12 is closer to the DC Superman's Earth. We need to be aware of the truth about the series is going to be reflective of the times which we live in. Clark, Lois and Jimmy are members of Generation Z. Lois had learn about the other Supermen who had turn Evil in some of the other universes in the multi-verse. Yet there are the good Supermen. One of whom represents the DC Superman.
That's a good question, in the comics Superman is usually able to store solar energy inside his body for hours, so that even when he's fighting at nightime he's still powered up. In MAWS it's possible that this Clark hasn't learned to master that yet since in ep 9 he seemed pretty weakened in the final fight (even though he was fighting against a giant parasite and 4 other villains lol) but who knows
I guess I’m the odd one out and say this show was mostly mid for me. What I liked about this show was showing Superman helping people basically being a hero which should be a no duh, but if u pay attention to some superhero shows they seem to focus more on the heroes themselves and less of them actually being heroes. The animation is good too and I do like how they’re starting from the ground up with him. Now comes what I don’t like and one reason is related about the last thing I said about coming from the ground up. I do appreciate them working on his character as they should, but my issue is that this show seems to focus on feelings and emotions a bit too much. It made the show feel more like a drama series which it sometimes made my eyes roll and if I’m being blunt it made Clark look a bit “sissy”. Idk how else to explain it, but basically I don’t like the idea of Clark being an introvert. Like I get it and I guess u can say it’s “relatable” to our generation, but I’m here to watch Superman be Superman with Clark being a bit more confident. Again I totally understand he’s a work in progress, but again IMO it’s a bit too much. Another thing I didn’t like were some of the reimagining of the villains and u basically explained it. Another is what u mentioned too was with the counsel of Louis’s and I was like uh ok I guess. Idk. I have mixed feelings about this show were I liked it, but I didn’t like it too. IMO this version of Superman has a certain audience it’s catering to and I think it’s for those who’s more into drama, emotion, and shipping. Let’s be honest come on lol.
I definitely think that my adventures with Superman is a great Superman series that understands the character, while doing something different with him. I enjoyed the first season and can't wait for season 2.

Superman is always a paragon of the virtues of the time he is written in.
Perfect description... I also loved this series...

Thank you for the kind words! It really means a lot :D
What i like about this version is that it almost feels like a anime!

So like the only problem I have with the series is that the whole super saiyan thing didn’t get explored on a lot this season.

Better than STAS for one reason. Clark and Lois have actual chemistry. They act like a real young couple in love.
I love this show! It's such a great turnaround for Clark to not yet truly know what it is to be Superman. I never liked Superman, but this was changed it :D
Can't wait for anime lex

Smallville already did this over 20 years ago.
Is Superman weaker at night

They really twisted and destroyed what could have been a good story
