Bit of everything tbh, but i also love sitting on google maps satellite and just scan around and look and areas and see what i can find. Love doing it. If i find something interesting or worth looking at ill mark it and check out when im in that location.
Just get out there, hit a spot and just keep exploring till you know if like the back of your hand 👌🏼 plenty of amazing places you’d never expect just around the corner
Really happy with Gaia. Predownloaded the whole simpson desert and gpx file for my crossing earlier this year. Actually preloaded the satellite and a few different topographic layers. Casting them up to Android Auto for the whole trip was pretty awesome 💪
I wish I saw this video before wasting $50 on the 4x4 Hema explorer App. Dude this is one of the best video for people who is just getting into camping/4wdring that I've watched.
Thanks for the heads up on Newtracs, i just installed it to see if my local area is on it and was stoked to see it is. I live in the Hunter Valley NSW, if ever your up this way you have got to check out the Watagan Mountains and Barrington Tops.
Great vid cobba I use old historical documents to look for places to explore it’s a bit left of field but we’ve found some absolute corkers down here in Tas goodonya champ subd cheers
Well said mate. My advice would be for newbies to get involved with clubs. Been part of a 4x4 club, there is always good advice around regarding tracks.
Great clip and a couple of new ones there I’ve not heard of .... Gaia is brilliant, I use that all the time. I love it the most because it works offline and the best thing is you can log into your account on a PC and premap out where you’re going on your trip and then it syncs across all your devices so whether you’re using a phone or tablet, the same map will come up in all of them. And it has a breadcrumb trail feature too - great if you get lost 🤣 Cheers mate and keep up the good work
Haha. Well spotted. I was just about to say the same thing. Judging by the light blue colour of the steering damper I'm going to take a stab in the dark and guess he's gone with the Chinese made Fulcrum suspension kit.
I found the best way is to just get out there and explore, check all the little side tracks and just enjoy being out there having a look around, will be very surprised what you find
Exporoz Traveller is the best 4wd/caming/exploring map. not free but worth every cent it has more tracks than any other map app I've used. Also a $150 android tablet and exploroz traveller is cheaper and a million times better than a dedicated HEMA Garmin etc
How do you guys find your 4bie tracks and campgrounds? RUclips? Facebook? or just exploring?
We just pack the car and head towards the river or towards the beach, the gap down SA was a great place
Bit of everything tbh, but i also love sitting on google maps satellite and just scan around and look and areas and see what i can find. Love doing it. If i find something interesting or worth looking at ill mark it and check out when im in that location.
Usually asking around at a local. Or Facebook. Or both. Cheers guys
Google maps. word of mouth . Facebook groups . RUclips . however RUclips does add alot of pins for me save as want to go into Google maps ..
I’d love to see you guys do a tag-along with Tim Bates… he’s a legend!

Trigger Dose has some great vids of the mid north coast
I downloaded Newtracks and it doesn’t work. Can’t even zoom in!
I normally find my camping spots by turning left of the road about 45 mins before it gets dark
Do you ever exhale?
Love the vids
Thanks mate! appreciate it ! :)
Very helpful! More to explore hasnt been updated to the latest version of Android, so it cant be download as of the date of this comment!

Murray river has long been the ...Murray sewer. Every town & city upstream from Cooma To Canberra dumps their sh?t in it.
hahahah it's definitely not the cleanest but still bloody grouse fun and plenty of spots to camp!
@@AussieArvos Just don't touch the water or eat the fish, plenty of pathogens in there like M.N.D.
You’re not going anywhere for ages bro 😂
Hectic
Can’t believe this guy doesn’t have a iPhone
