Thanks for the tip. Not a big transition skater and trying to learn more as I've gotten older. Can do drop ins and rock to fakie and then that's about it. Hahaha!!
I’m in the same boat. I always slept on transition back in the day and spent every session hitting ledges and gaps. My back can’t handle it anymore, but all I can do on mini’s is rock fake and rock and roll lol Getting into axle stalls just does not compute for me.
@@NoLove4Babylon same here, 15 years without skating and I've fallen in love with transition now that I've picked it back up because it's much easier on my body than stairs, ledges and gaps
Thanks for the great clips. I'd like to see a video on how to best fall, specifically when hanging up on a mini ramp. I just got back into skating at 39, used to skate all the time in my teens and back then falling was not even a concern but now 20 year later it is. Watching videos from the 90s compared to today's it's clear that most skaters today has mastered falling. Love a video on the topic. Thanks.
Will you make a brief video, or even a short response explaining in a little more detain about how to maintain your balance with getting up onto the coping? I can drop in from an axle stall, I've spent some time learning that and I'm comfortable doing that, but I can't seem to stay on top of the board when going into it. Maybe I should practice exiting the quarterpipe completely first? Anyway, any response would be awesome. Thanks for the video!
Im getting em now, i think u should just go straight up until your front trucks are in the air, then turn when ur back trucks hit the coping. I always turned too soon and got into a grind not a real stall. Hope this hzlps a bit
@@MLjaah I have been trying to do this, and every time I do, either the board just goes completely on top of my quarter pipe, or I powerslide and the board shoots off the ramp lol. Wildly frustrating.
I got this vicious habit and cant get up my body. Still doing stall and 5050 inside the ramp. know how to drop in, but just cant up my body. its drive me crazy
@@justinbriggs6494 More weight on the back foot and roll your heel back on to the deck. Focus on heeling down and the board will just do it for you, seriously. Good luck
Guys right before youre about to start going up. You have to sord of force youre body to go up. As uoure going up. Give it a slight pump. To gain alittle speed
@@jesusortega61 that makes. Your the first to mention this. So a little manual. Pump. Throw myself up with a turn And press the heel down . Will try next time I hit the quarter pipe
I was struggling a lot today, attempted doing on a little quarter pipe and fell a couple of times pretty hard. It was pissing me off, I don't know if my timing turning at the top is too soon or not. I had trouble getting the board to stay up there, it kept moving or falling off the side.
In the opposite of I move my back truck to the back i always get caught up and eat shit but if i dont i get it perfect i can do the trick just asking if I'm just weird
Last time i tried to learn this i made it to the top, but it didn't lock in on the coping, and therefore, my board basically slid all the way down and i fell down with my back on the ramp. Luckily i didn't land my back ON THE COPING, which is my biggest and scariest fear. The idea of falling like that scares the hell out of me to the point that i just do not get the will of trying it again. But i'm willing to try this quick turning thing goig higher and higher. Let's see if it works with me. I wanna learn this trick so bad!
I can 50 50 grind but can't stall yet . You never mentioned the fact that you have to almost shove the tail and stand straight up. Or your grinding that coping and not stopping
The tip about getting into that back truck pinch really helps. Rolling back in is much smoother. Thanks, bro!

Devociones Artisticas its been 2 months, can you do it now?
He tried it and died
Now?
This is the one trick I always couldn't get unless it was a tiny 2ft mini. This and bs 50-50 seem so simple but i can't time them right
There’s two parts. One. Get out of the bowl and stand on it. Two. Going back in.
Each one is its own set of skills.
Brilliant. Best video I've seen on this

Late to the party but learning flyouts and then thinking of them as flyouts with a kickturn has been helping me alot with this

I've got rock fakies and rock n rolls on lock but I don't know how to axle. A lot of people are surprised by this. Which do you think is easier?
o.o just in time, a day ago i started to learn axle stalls, couldn't do them at all, gonna try tomorrow with your tips :)

Just realized this is the park by my house 🤘🏼
