    Thanks for this detailed video. Did you arrive to terminal 3? If yes, were there any cafes in the airport? We have a super early flight and I was thinking about staying at the airport for a while if there is a cafe

      First of all thank you so much for watching my video. I really appreciate it. To answer your question we arrived at a newly build satellite terminal which connects to the terminal 2 building where you can go through the immigration and customs. You might also arrive at the terminal 2 if you are traveling with a different airline other than ITA which is the new name for Alitalia. Terminal 1 is for ITA. There are many cafes and restaurants in the terminal as well as in there departure lounge. They also have cafes in the satellite terminal as well. I hope that helps you. Thank you for this wonderful video! It has made me a little more relaxed about my trip and getting around the airport. How long do you think it took you for the entire process from getting off the plane to clearing customs and immigration? • @hilifetravel8764
      @hilifetravel8764  7 месяцев назад +2

      First of all thank you so much for watching my video and for your compliment. It took me around 35 minutes for the whole process. But it all depends what type of passport you are carrying and how busy the airport is at that. If you have US, Canadian, or passport from Australia or New Zealand or Japan and few other countries then you can use the electronic gates where you scan your passport and the machine will take your photo if everything goes well then the glass doors will open up and all you have to stop and get a stamp from the immigration officer. In customs if you are carrying nothing then just go through the green gates and it is pretty easy. I am sure you will be fine. Enjoy your trip. I have a flight to Milan with a stopover in Rome with the same airline, I would like to know if when I arrive in Rome I have to go through immigration and customs control to stamp my passport and then return to the departures area to my 2nd flight, or I go directly to the transit area

    • @hilifetravel8764
      @hilifetravel8764  10 месяцев назад +1

      When you arrive in Rome you go through the immigration because you are arriving from another country. If you are flying within EU then you don’t have to go through immigration but if you are coming from outside EU then you have to go through the immigration and customs and then recheck your luggage with the airline and do the check in process. I hope that helps. Please consider subscribing my channel. Once again thank you for your support and for your question.

Once you come out of the customs into the arrivals hall you go outside the terminal building and make a right turn and you will see all the coaches parked there once you go towards the coaches on your right side you will see the offices of all the coaches. You can buy the one way or the return ticket. Return tickets are little cheaper than buying tickets separately. You are right I didn’t stop for the luggage because I never check in my luggage. I only take carry on bags with me. Hi! Do US citizens use the automated system as well when we are flying back home from Rome or do we wait in a separate line?

    • @hilifetravel8764
      @hilifetravel8764  Месяц назад +1

      Yes, as a US citizen you can use the automated immigration counter but it is different from the EU citizens. Once you arrive in Rome you will see two lanes one for EU citizens and one for all passports. In all passport lane they will ask you if you are from US, Canada, Japan, Australia or some other countries then you can use the automated immigration system. The process is very simple. You have scan your passport amd they will take a picture and if everything goes well the automatic gate will open you are through. I hope this helps you understand the process. • @hilifetravel8764
      @hilifetravel8764  4 месяца назад +1

      First of all thank you so much for watching my video and for your support. To answer your question, the cost of the shuttle is about 8 Euros. They advertise that the tis 6 euros but when you go to the ticket counter they said it has been raised to 8 Euros. In my opinion the best option is to buy the round trip ticket since it is 14 Euros and you can used it with in ninety days just don’t lose your ticket because it has a QR code which has all your information. Taxi ride to the city is around 65 to 75 euros depending upon the time and the traffic. Also taxi has limited space for luggage and in the coach there is a lot of space and it drops you in the heart of the city at the Roma Termini train station if you are four people the cost of four round trip ticket would be 56 euros where as single taxi ride would be around 75 euros. Rhe choice is yours. I hope that helps you to make your decision. Once again thank you so much for your time and your support. Look out for new updates and please don’t forget to like and share.
