It's just so disappointing that Dell haven't given us alternative GPU options, such as Razer do (offering the 2080 Super Max-Q), also the options for non-US websites are terrible, there are only 3 configuration options in Sweden and UK, both highly limited and very sneakily spec'd which will confuse some into buying the most expensive thinking that they're getting the most capable, when actually they'll end up with the lower spec i7 and only 16Gb ram...
It's hovering at 67-77c at 15% utilization.. how is that good? I'd want to see how it performs with an actual workload over the course of at least 10 mins.
I'm trying to decide between the XPS 15" and 17". One difference between the two is that the 15" allows for active pen support while the 17" does not. I would like the ability to highlight and make brief editing comments on the screen with the pen. Has anyone else thought about this factor in their decision to go with the 15 or 17?
Can you compare last year XPS 15 size with the XPS 17? I know people with XPS 15 lineup of past couple years wanna see just how big this 17 actually is. Hard to see how big the 17 is compared to the new 15 since the new XPS 15 is smaller too
I ordered my 9500 in 8/2020. The trackpad clicks work intermittently. It's very frustrating to use the laptop with the touchpad. I called Dell and they sent a repair technician to my house. The new palm rest/keyboard/trackpad also has the wireless antenna. The cable for the antenna was defective. The technician tried for over an hour to get the cable to work, losing his temper and throwing his tools in my livingroom. The technician also said that Dell doesn't know how to design a laptop. He also got mad when he had an extra part he didn't remember where it went back to. He couldn't get the antenna cable back on but did something with a screw to hold it next to it and told me he didn't have all night to sit here and try to fix it. After the machine was "finished" it still had the same click problem. I called Dell and the first two customer service reps hung up on me. I have been trying to speak to a manager for almost a week now to get a replacement unit sent. I'm telling you, I will never buy another Dell product as long as I live. I should have bought a MBP.

Is there any WWAN card option on Dell XPS 15 or 17? Or any slot available to add WWAN if we want to?
17'' all the way
I love the BIG one!
Bro, which is the best laptop for heavy gaming & editing purpose between 60k to 85k....?
Better look for Asus Rog / Lenovo Legion line up with RTX 2060...
You are my inspiration for technology. hope you post more unboxing videos
Great video. You said there isn't much difference between the 4K and regular screen. But what if you are editing photos at 100% magnification?
You guys are so lucky.
Your country to get this laptop : $2,000.
My country : RM10,000
Your salary : USD5,000
My salary : RM5,000
See how lucky you are?
Stop complaining already ok?
Proud to be an American
@@maxhendryx6171 sorry, I dont think America is great at all.
kenz 😂😂😂you just said we’re lucky. We could blow up your country with a single branch of our military. We have freedom of speech and religion in our constitution. We have the right to bear arms in our constitution. We have the highest gdp and it’s not even close. We have free market. And can’t talk bad about the president and government and not get in trouble. AND WERE NOT GREAT AT ALL? Jealousy and envy at its finest
I love the 17" but I can't get it cuz they are not available in India and import has been closed because of lockdown.
How big of a difference would you say the graphic cards have between the two? for video editing needs
3:55 "the XPS 17 is much smaller than the 17, even I can understand smaller numbers" XD
Have you heard about the new dell inspiron 15 (available in belgium, not yet in the US)?
A comparison with the XPS would be nice😁
The same spec models ( i7-10750H, 16Gb ram, 1To ssd, no touch screen, GTX 1650 Ti, ...) are 1500€ for the inspiron and 2200€ for the XPS 15
I haven’t but maybe I’ll have to check it out, thanks for the tip!
So the xps 17 with the 1650 ti gtx graphics card doesn’t have the vapor chamber?
Yes it does, I showed you in this video it does.
Only the base version without a discrete graphics (the one with integrated intel grpahics card) card does NOT have the vapor chamber.
Im a mac guy but would like to try Windows machine again specifically for the graphics cards. Would this machine be capable of 3d rendering & modeling or would gaming laptop be better?
Is there also a none 4k panel, i don't need a 4k touch panel
THe big thing is that i freakn hate windows os, its such a lame os compared to OSX. :(
@@RomboutVersluijs hey man windows ain't that bad it has been quite good now I have a recommendation for you that is a dell precision 5550 or 5750 they are both work level laptops used by professionals
you got the 17 inch with the full HD Display, righ? How long do you get with batterie ( average use, only surfing and writing ...)? You don't say it in the video ...
Your Awesome !! You're videos are neat . Thx
Huge fan!!!! Quick question - are you actually a dad? (Always wondered for literally no reason)
Yep I am.
@@TheEverydayDad best windows is build your own gaming pc....if you buy laptop you are making a mistake....cause performance difference is insane
MASTER FAZE Try hard gamer I don't remember if he already shipped the custom pic video but I know he is working on a Ryzen build.
So now that dell xps 2020 model had a redesign, I can buy that model without expecting any major refresh in terms of design in 2021?
Great video! Do you think the XPS 9500 thermals get up there for just light gaming and a workload that doesn't include video compiling or rendering? Thanks!
Hi
Is Dell XPS 15 9500 i5-10300H,16 RAM, 512 SSD enough for working with 3 MT5 apps (simultaneously with multiple Chrome tabs open) with 10-20 heavy charts open with loads of indicator and backtesting (need it for my personal indicator and strategy)?
Hi Gary, I'm rewatching the videos of the XPS lineup. I'm into buying one, the 9700 FHD+ version. Do you still have the 9500, I gues. I need raw power, but the screen color accuracy is also important for me. Some sources tell the FHD+ has 100% AdobeRGB coverage, others talk just about sRGB. Could you give me some information, like printed information on the box or mesured colors? Your videos about iPhone editor or iPad are awesome, they are real powerhouses.
Well this now helped me eliminate Dell XPS 15 against HP Envy 4k RTX 2060 model with vapor chamber cooling. I still miss the usb c charging capability, so now torn between HP envy 15 4k vs dell xps 17 FHD
Damn. I just ordered the XPS 15 and I didnt realize I couldve got the upgraded CPU for the same price I upgraded the SSD for. I dont need 512gb, I should've gotten the 256.
XPS 15 vs XPS 17 (full HD panel/i7 10750H 6 core/GTX 1650 Ti both), which one is the best for you ?
I was wondering which one of these two models is the best, since I'm buying from Italy and there's a €360 difference between them. I've heard that the XPS 17 had a better cooling system, even though the XPS 15 already has no throttling issues; I wanted to buy the full HD panel model for a better battery life.
The question is: is the €360 gap between prices worth it? Or should I just buy the XPS 15? Thanks in advance.
The everyday dad has now become a Dell XPS fanboy
If you had one, you'd understand why
@@novanatakit323 I want to get one
... but they don't ship where I live :-(
@@aaravparikh3104 where I live, they don't either, but I managed to find a small computer store that ordered it from the US to their relative in the US and their relative shipped it to them. After watching this video, I'm suddenly getting the urge to swap my XPS 15 to the 17
I’m a fanboy of gear that works, and these two laptops work very well.
This mans spitting factssss
do you void the warranty if you buy the 8ram version and decided to upgrade it?
Sigh. Bought an XPS 15 last week and still had the touchpad problem. Waiting on the return shipping label.
it would have been nice to see the 13 inch in this review as well because i am trying to decide between the 3. the 15 inch is the size i want and is expandable but the 13 is significantly cheaper so i have a dilemma
Hi, which store do you recommend their return policy
Tell us one thing which one is better for heavy load task xps 17 or Macbook Pro 16?
But just the 4k display cover 100% Adobe RGB? Can't find the answer anywhere!
15 is the perfect size for portability and dual-screen use at home w/ a larger monitor. Shame about the poor QA, though. I think if I were to go bigger, I'd rather go MBP 16 w/ the new 5600M gpu.
Am i the only one who can't afford an XPS but still makes sure he watches all of it's videos!?
@Victor Bravo i have heard that a lot. AMD are far better than the Intel.
So can i buy a XPS 17 with 8gb ram and replace that with 32gb crucial ballistix?
Can u please make a battery drain test of both, with heat testing... Please please please... Many of us are hardly waiting....
4:45 hm..... what does windows have to do with that and why would it perform less without the power cable?
6:00 charging with usb is slower... they should not replace the charging port for usb...
