This song has so much depth too it and the words have such a deep meaning to it. It's just something's friend's aren't suppose to do with another friend. If you have a true friendship and you know that's all it should be, there shouldn't be any late night phone calls or the need to stay longer then you need too because that's only going to make that other person think their might be something more to the friendship even though they might not be able to see it at the time. Because the friendship is that strong. Because I guess some friend's are just meant to stay in the friend zone and that's okay sometimes it's best to be that person's friend and not their significant other. Because just being their friend or their buddy is the best feeling to have.

Sometimes, being in the"friend zone" of the love of your life is the most painful thing a man can experience. I know...I was there for 3 years. The constant battle between what the brain knew "She's never going to see you as anything but a friend" and what the heart felt "She truly was the love of my life...and I know that I will never feel that way for any other woman" is the hardest personal battle that a person can go through. After 3 years of agony, turmoil, sleepless nights...my brain finally won the battle and I walked away, removed her completely from my world. People who say "it's better to be friends that nothing at all" have never truly been in this position. Do I miss her 2 1/2 years after walking away....only when I hear a bird sing, only when the wind blows against the back of my neck, only when one of a million songs we sang together plays on the radio, only when I go fishing, hiking, fossil hunting or anything we used to do together...but mostly, I miss her with every breath I take. I will miss her for the rest of my life....but at least I am now in a fairly peaceful place in my life.

I just found this song after I met this guy at 4-H shooting sports. We noticed eachother and kinda/not really secretly started looking/staring at eachother. Then we broke the ice and started talking. He went over and picked a few flowers and gave them to me. The next week we exchanged numbers and started talking. I think it was maybe over a period of 2-is weeks that we got to know eachother more and we were out shooting for our 4-h requirements when it started pouring rain. There was around 2 hours left and the rain didn't stop so we were told to call our parents to come pick us up early. Well, this guy I was talking to could have already went home as he has his liscence but, He stayed with me until my Parents came and picked me up. Fast forward a Month and we are now dating and are so happy. I still love this song! 😍💚
