I only got packs if they’re on sale, I really agree with you when you say that all the packs are worth half their sale value! I think a lot of other people feel similarly, but get the packs when they’re new, because of fomo. I think the sims uses that to their full advantage, and it’s sad.
I definitely feel that about the seasons and pets. Starting with development with TS3, Maxis should have been looking at the previous game trying to figure out which content universally resonated with players and implemented those features into the base game of the next Sims iteration. Supernatural-themed stuff and the like, totally get being an expansion pack to opt into, that's not everybody's cup of tea. But seasons? That should be a standard feature by now.
I got Get Together a long time ago and did not realize how fun it is until I actually started using the clubs feature. It takes a second to set up a bunch of clubs but going to the library and seeing the study club working on the task you gave them, then going to a night club and seeing vampires clubs biting and flirting with sims or going to a bar and seeing an after work hang out club getting a drink and you can give club outfits, perks and skill multipliers

No literally, I’m a starwars fan and i have been my whole life. But journey to batuu was horrible 😭. If you wanna play with starwars shit go play with the hundreds of the others actual starwars games, like the sims should not have this shit in it
Ik you dont play with occults but vampires, werewolves and realm of magic are all definitely worth the money to me because of how much depth the gameplay has and also just how many completely unique sims you can make with them! And I also think they add a fair amount of challenge to the game cuz all 3 of the main occult have their strengths and weaknesses that you have to work arounf

I love Halloween so I like the spooky stuff, it adds to that but it could have been included with seasons. If we’re talking about scammy, I think the rating system should be different and not based on if you like it or not. More so on what should have come standard in the game vs add ons. In that case, most of the “Worth the money/I like it” packs should be a scam since they should have been included. The occults, whether beloved or not, on my opinion wouldn’t be scammy at all since it isn’t “standard” if that makes sense. Otherwise, this reads as a “packs that are worth it” review.
I LOVE the content in the kits. They are super good looking and have amazing swatches for both CAS and Building. Literally my only issues with them is the price and the fact they overshadow the other packs!! I wish they stopped making so many kits and made more stuff packs or work on some but fixes
Outdoor retreat is one of the biggest scams to me. There’s no real content and it’s the most boring pack. I hate that pack so much. 😂 Biggest regret purchase.
You can't convince me that pets wasn't a scam. I only have like 4 expansion packs, (including pets) but about 10minutes after buying it I wish I hadn't. Not only did they have one less pet than in Sims 3 but you literally can't even play as a pet in Sims 4! The pets are completely pointless, no different to the baby sims in my opinion. They're basically just objects. Also I am sad to see you put the vampire pack so far down when that is one of the few packs I feel actually delivered the content and improved some features from Sims 3.
Honestly I don’t mean to sound greedy but a lot of the packs should of been included in base game. Apartments, multi unit lots, season, retail stores, pets. I think all those things should of been base game included. With that being said I think expanding on each thing would work. Give us a holiday themed pack not seasons. Get to work let’s add burglars for the officers. More autonomy with sickness for the doctors and scientists it would be so cool if they added alien research where your sims test on aliens and investigate them that way aliens have more gameplay but it would be cool if aliens retaliated. As for the retail stores that should be in base game. As many worlds could have retail stores rather than rabbit holes. Perfect example being for rent. Imagine the night market with actual retail stores you can go in. Pets doesn’t need to be an expansion pack just include in base game. Give us a pack that expands on animals rather than just adding them to game. A lot of the packs seem to give you some features but to get the whole experience you need to purchase multiple packs for example growing together, parenthood, high school years.
Lol I like Bowling Night...teen hangouts and stuff...and the Toddler's Pack is 1 of my fav, Island Living is a must have 4 me but I agree it could have been more, the Star Wars pack was a lil scammy to me...I get ur points about the kits...i have a few tho, Def agree with your must haves

Definitely, all these games should have been half off. The people who got the basegame for free, you got your money worth....SMH!!! I would definitely tell people to wait to get the packs when they're on sale. If you can add mods and custom content to your game, skip the kits entirely.

There's a few packs and kits and stuff that I straight up refused to buy but some of them I have but for aspects of them in order to flesh out the gameplay which I don't feel should have been the case but I really didn't want to not have them in my game wait until they went on sale but anyway there's things that we paid for that we should have had for free and the things that we don't even get that should have been brought along for gameplay from Sims 2 and 3.
i only *just* found the fcking ball pit cuz i bought the toddlers pack rly early on when i should've just waited and gotten parenthood then LMAO. i think the animations are cute at least ahaha. but little campers i do love, & every pack i've gotten has added something to my game. my faves rn though are eco lifestyle, cottage living, & werewolves, and those *were* the first EP's i bought when i downloaded the game for free xD
werewolves has *amazing* build & buy for like, a post-industrial town or city, & the Werewolf storyline lore is sooo intense. ngl justice for werewolves in the sims 4, literally everyone discriminates against them.... X.X' & a lot of them have such an internal struggle because of being a werewolf, it honestly makes me emotional ngl & im mad that they're so mistreated T.T' oof. i rly could not play my game with Cottage Living & Eco Lifestyle now though, i needed the farming & fashion & funny fancy little town & i built such a fabulous messy warehouse punk venue (WHERE ARE BAAANDSSS?!) that i'm still so proud of to this day in evergreen harbor. all of my sims are extremely *prepared* because of eco lifestyle LMAO xD i know i'll get up to some wild shit once i finally get strangerville 👀LMAO
I’m surprised parenthood is ranked higher than high school years. I don’t think that pack is as bad as you make it seem cuz parenthood is garbage and high school years offer way more gameplay and the closest we have to generations. Parenthood is a very overrated pack to me lol.
The thing that annoys me the most about this is that you and many other people have made videos along these lines and yet they feel like it's necessary for them to do a survey! Really? I mean honestly if they don't know where to find the opinions about how their game is coming out to the rest of the world there's a lot more wrong with them than we can fix.

There is a mod that fixes dine out. Its bomb when it works. Even the ability to be the chef, waiter and host as the owner. I love it lol
