when starting with a broken or cut drill bit i usually grind it , just to help the Drill Doctor a bit so as not to dull or wear out the diamond wheel in it. ( itll probably make the Drill Doctor last longer). Ive done it and works just fine using my method folks.😉

claws need to be on inside flute to attach correctly ,then you need to andjust depth.

"Split point" is the term you are looking for instead of "self tapping" or "counter sink".

Hi, if the step drill bit is from Drill Hog, is a lifetime guarantee. Just send it to them, you will get a new one.

the degree of the angle of cutters on the bit. Most metal bits have a 135 angle

When my Uni-Bit gets dull I just drill a pilot first. As long as the rest of the cutters are good. Otherwise, its a sinker.
