Spending time with Dad is a priceless gift. Enjoy it while you can, do it often.
A father and son hunt - tag filled, or not, it doesn’t get any better than that. Thank you for allowing us to follow along and be a part of your great memory.
Thank you. That is why I hunt. Matthew was on my first pronghorn hunt, when he was 2 years old. He was on dozens of other pronghorn hunts with me as a kid. I think those times are why pronghorn hunting is so far up my list.
On any big game hunt out West, don’t walk further than ten steps from the truck without your rifle….as you’ve proven to all of us, the game isn’t always way over there!
I’ve subscribed to that rule for decades, and I’ve seen several friends miss chance-of-the-season bucks who didn’t. Always take your rifle with you when you get outta the truck.
Inspiring and heartfelt final words could never ring truer. God Bless and as always Happy Hunting!
Glad you share that sentiment. At this point in my life, that is one of my primary motivations for hunting.
When the knees get sore and tired from a day of hunting, taking a ride along with you guys will sitting by the fire is a great finish to the day.
Matthew thanks for keeping things rolling so we were able to see such great ongoing content. Success was summarized in your Dad's last comments. Great hunt.
My son is two weeks old but I can’t wait to get him out to enjoy God’s creation like this! He’s still got afew years yet 😅Thank you guys for the amazing content, love seeing all FT content 👍
Always great sharing your hunts with you two. A true father and son hunting experience!!!
Good hunt fellas... The big ones get big for a reason!
Fun part about Pronghorn hunting for this old fart newbe would be no more hunting in the mountains! What a well rounded son you have raised, lovely film.
I’ve never seen Matthew spin around to grab the gun like that 😂
Ok, it looks like you guys are missing some good opportunities on some nice Pronghorn bucks!
Great content and thanks for taking us along. Honestly, Matthew deserved tag soup with his approach. Plenty of quality bucks were passed looking for greener pastures.
Yup. And he's fine with that. As am I. We got to milk it for all we could.
He made the decisions he was comfortable with. I on the other hand am more like randy I’m gonna fill my tag with a decent buck with my first opportunity lol. The way I see it is we got to watch 4 episodes of Randy and co because of Mathew so I am grateful for that 😂
Love you Randy. Had me laughing
So awesome! Thanks for the great video.
Nice camera work Jace….👊🏻
Thanks 👍 Jace rocks!
I got to the point I was rooting for the antelope after so much indecision. 😂. That wide one was super cool and that one with the mass was a beauty.
That's cool to hear. I am always having a fit when Matthew milks these hunts for every minute of every day. But, the tag holder gets to decide. And the great part is that Matthew was completely satisfied with the hunt, buck or no buck taken.
Top 10 unheard of 😁Great video Randy 👍👍
At 14:01 in the video. Mathew, "That was exciting and a little disappointing" . And I said to myself you are so right Mathew. HaHa! Have a good hunt see you next episode.
Randy, you know what matters. Much respect from a fellow Montanan.
Marcus would have taken one by now, just sayin...LOL
Randy has the only huntin channel that can put out 3 to 4 , 30 minute videos and have a 2 minute kill scene 😳 at the very end
Edit : or not
the antelope death dance.......the doe says, 'hey, we gotta go, those guys wearin orange want to kill you', and the buck says, 'no, baby stay right here, we can get some wine and get to know each other better'.......epoch goat country, too.
Thanks for sharing this hunt. It hits me in so many ways. With the amount of points it takes to draw some of these experiences, I'm in a similar boat with Randy wondering how many more that I have left to be able to enjoy with my young adult son who is BTW my favorite hunting partner 😀. I've got the itch to go antelope hunting now.
Do it!
Looked like a lot of fun to me. This year was my first rifle antelope hunt and I can't wait to draw another tag.
Every pronghorn hunt I've been on, or helped with, has been a lot of fun. This one was one of my all-time favorites.
Cool hunt with your son, what is special to me is being able to hunt with my son and grandson, my son shot his first trophy when he was 12 and now his son is 4 can't wait for him to do the same.
Those are the hunts we never forget. Thanks for watching.
Randy says he shot an animal without a camera guy near by. It seems like someone once said, "If it's not on film, it didn't happen."
Yeah, they've been busting my chops over that.
Many areas in Northern Washoe County, Nevada, look like this country 6,000 plus feet up. I have seen many antalope up in that type of stuff. In Central Nevada, I have seen them in steep mountains 9,000 feet up in juniper areas. Antalope seem to be adapting to a more mule deer type country.
Yeah, I'm amazed the elevations pronghorn live at in Nevada. I shot a NV buck in 2007 at 8,000'.
Very different from blacktail hunting. Shot a nice buck yesterday with a shot window that lasted about 1 second. Good news is you save a lot of money on long range optics with hunting conditions like that!
Columbia Blacktails are on my list to explore, someday.
Beaver Dam WI. On board 👍👍
Thanks
What is that sling system that Matthew is using?? It looks nice and handy
You're probably going to need to explain vapor lock to your younger audience.
Dang, never thought of that. Guess they never ran a chain saw on a hot summer day.
@@Fresh_Tracks I was thinking cars, but a chainsaw would be a good example too.
In a way I’m a little happy Mathew didn’t get a chance to fill his tag. Where I live if you turn down an opportunity you might aswell pack your bags and head home. I have hunted 30 days in a season without seeing a single animal that’s legal. So I’m sorry I have a little bit of a “serves him right” mentality and I can’t help it lol. Cheers.
just because you aren't a good hunter and can't find game doesn't mean everyone else should should shoot the first tiny buck they see.
@@Bpeay4 I guess I’m more of a meat hunter than a trophy hunter..
@@Bpeay4 Matthew wanted Big Hank sub 250 yards, no exceptions. Is anyone surprised it didn’t happen.
@@RowdyPNWhaha yes If you are going to be that picky I guess it is what it is.. you could tell randy was starting to feel the same way.. like “cmon Mathew eyes rolling “😂
@@Bpeay4i live in northern bc man. tough hunting here.. the hills are steep, the bush is thick.. I promise you work your ass off for every single opportunity you get. Its mostly limited entry hunting aswell so even getting a tag is tough. But I’m not exaggerating when I say if you miss or turn down an animal. Your probably heading home empty handed.
Sweet content guys! Can I ask what sling system Matthew is using?
?
Funny seeing a place I hang out. Taught my wife to drive stick within a few miles of there. I uh, I didn't have a ton of time to glass with that going on. And I didn't want to see anything that was going to take me a decade to draw even as a resident.
You hang out in a cool place. I'd love to go back there again.
@@Fresh_Tracks well reach out if you do, I can give you a driving loop that’ll almost make you forget about Montana. For like 24 hours though, you guys still win.
So are these old fresh tracks videos or new ?
New.
Coulda woulda shoulda
what tri pod is randy using?
Leupold
Cannot seem to find the details in any searches in your channel, but what camper topper are you using on the Raptor now?
GoFastCamper
That’s what happens when you’re trying to get a trophy. It’s all about the meat. Filling the tag to feed your family. This guy didn’t want to walk. He’s all about driving. Look up hunting and see what the meaning of hunting is.
Always have your rifle with you...... and be able to shoot 500 yards on a pronghorn hunt
Not necessary when filming, given how long it takes for us to get cameras set up and our ten seconds of pre-shot focused footage. And we never take shots at 500 yards. We try to keep them under 300 yards.
What?
Really!!?? Good grief, I remember my first hunt when I didn't pack water or supplies, and didn't practice enough to shoot 500 easily...
Looks like the Book Cliffs in the background of some of those scenes
