Linshidong is a phenomenal player, but his hook serve where he shields the contact of the ball is blatantly illegal. I’ve seen him do it so many times and generally, he’ll use it when the matches are very tight. I noticed somebody else in the comment section also noticed it and I have yet to see an umpire call it out that sucks players of these levels should not have to rely on illegal servers to give them an advantage. You’re practicing 7-8 hours a day you shouldn’t have to rely on an illegal serve to gain an advantage. It sucks.
Fully agree. He uses this serve when the game is very tight only, like an ultimate lethal weapon... He's extremely dominant and actually doesn't need it so it's even more a pity.
There's not much basis for this kind of empty accusation, and it's only with a camera from an opposite angle. This 45 degree angled downward is impossible to judge.
Illegal serve to win the first game 2:41. Two illegal serve to win the second game also 5:51 and 5:58. He only brings out these serves in critical moments
@@alfredoalves1397 Only a few of his serves are illegal and you can if you would actually focus on their impact that they don't actually do a lot. He doesn't win more points with serves than other players. And quitting table tennis because of illegal serves is, and I'm not saying this to be mean or anyth like that, a skill issue. Hiding the serve to the extent that lin shidong is doing, only slightly affects the visibility of the spin. You can still see the spin. Other players are hiding the ball a lot more. With lin shidong's serve, the hook, , he only somewhat hides the ball contact point. Other players hide their entire racket and the ball, so you can't the the spin at all until it reaches you (and it's mostly too late then). And A lot of players serve out of their hand, they can get a lot more spin and also hide the ball. But until it's at the absolute top, even that wouldn't matter a lot. And at the absolute top, you can't serve like that at all.
Lin shidong has one of the best backhands I've seen in a while
He has the best backhand I have ever seen.
@@smittywerben824 Because it's the best bh of all time, without a doubt.
5:24 Insane reaction speed from Liang Jingkun against the fastest backhand in the world
Beautiful match! LSD made some outrageous shots!!!!

Lin молодой дракон быстрый и очень умный 🔥
It is very important to have excellent illegal serves to win matches in table tennis.

I'm almost quitting table tennis because of these servers. Not only him, of course, some others also.
With these serves or not, LSD is better than LGK, in general. He has the best bh in the world. I think future no 1, without a doubt.
@@zencosuzuki8496 I agree with you, but because Messi and Ronaldo were better then others, should we allow them run by scooter in the pitch?
