      She may well be dyslexic. So that it's not her education that's lacking, it's a disability that she has.
      Regardless, I'd say that she's functioning well for someone that can't read, with her being a trucker.
      It's vulnerable people like her that wolfish predators tend to prey on.
      Just looking and listening to her made her testimony credible to my mind. Easily enough for there to be reasonable doubt as to her guilt on DUI.
      Although she did admit to driving whilst video calling her husband and whilst being extremely upset - which I think would be illegal in Kentucky.

In this day and age the cost of cameras is so small that any law enforcement entity that doesn't have them or use them is a criminal organization hiding out for many exposure to the light.

      You’d be surprised how many illiterate people have good jobs. My ex father-in-law retired from the military and got an excellent custodial job at the post office without being able to read. He passed away a few years ago at the age of 83 totally illiterate. I offered many times to teach him and he just never wanted to learn because he got by and didn’t see the need. I always felt sorry because I love reading.

    • @Wyomingchief
      @Wyomingchief 3 месяца назад +2

      I'm guessing you don't understand how disabilities work? A lot of people that are illiterate, can be so because of Dyslexia or several other disabilities. And if you looked really careful when you went and took your cdl, there was a sign somewhere in that office that told you if you needed assistance or an accommodation due to a disability they would assist you.
      Which kind of tells me that even though you can read, apparently you don't pay good attention. There's absolutely no reason why she can't be a truck driver and be a damn good one

    I was hammered drunk on night on a first date with the gal of my dreams and when we were leaving the bar she said she couldn’t drive. I should have called a cab but me being an idiot, I was chose to drive her Chevy Z71 with bald tires, in the rain, back home because I was gonna get some.. Well, she was touching and rubbing me and I wound up throwing the back end out on a left turn and high centering on the Jersey rail between lanes of the highway. Imagine a truck doing a 50/50 grind on a Jersey rail.. I got it stuck and the cops showed up.. They had me doing roadside tests, she was screaming at me the entire time. I was arrested and taken to county. My license was already suspended for other stuff so I refused to blow. I was cordial with the arresting officer so he was cool. Anywho, I Took it to a jury trial and told them if they could convict me for being a idiot than they should.. I wound up getting one of the best trial lawyers in town (pro bono work) and long story short I was acquitted on a reckless driving count and the DUII.. My point is this: you win some and loose some, I was charged and convicted with a felony possession charge 4 months after this lol. This was all 10 years ago and since I haven’t had any interaction with the police, not even a speeding ticket. It was the start of my wake up call..

      She told you in her testimony, from what I understand: They read the test questions and stuff for her. One has to assume that because she can't read, she's had to adapt to that in her profession. Signs can be memorised, roads can be learnt. Her stating "I know exactly where I was pulled over", with absolute confidence, might give you a clue as to how.

      No it's very odd that it's the year 2024 and you don't understand how disabilities and accommodations for Disabilities work. A lot of people that can't read, is because they have a disability a learning disability dyslexia or something of that nature. Now if you actually paid attention when you took your driver's test there would be a sign posted somewhere that said by federal law if you have difficulty with the written test and need accommodation, the staff would provide assistance.
      Again the only thing that's odd is that you don't understand this

      Well first of all just because people have tried something doesn't mean that they're an absolutely worthless person. I know many people who were really bad alcoholics and or addicts, they got their s*** under control and are clean and living a perfectly normal respectable life

      Just don't see how a cop collecting a sample all by himself can be considered credible. No way to tell if the sample is even hers, cop can easily switch it, or even contaminate it. Plus is a urine sample accurate, don't they usually test blood? Urine sample just checks if someone used drugs recently, won't tell if they just did them.

    How is this cop allowed to be a cop after these alligations. There is no doubt in my mind the cop lied. I am glad the jury came to the same opinon that she was not lying. I know she is not educated, but she should sue the department and the police department for the scary encounter. As many sicko in power get away with this type of behavior under the color of the law. It seems that if his department doesn't take action, the case should be referred to the State Attorney General for investigation and procecution for sexual crimes against persons, under the color of law. Qualified Immunity is scarey at time when you have a predator on duty as a police in a small town.

    • @DruDuk

      He's lying here. But cops do that. It usually starts off with a minor bust that could be "taken care of," if the arrested person would become an informant. Future problems could be "taken care of," too.
