This is quite the magical tutorial showing how to utilize the 3D nature of Illustrator to create some seriously amazing object. I was really amazing by how this tutorial came together and I hope you can learn as much as I did from this tutorial. I know it is not After Effects, but the truth is: YOU NEED TO LEARN AE, AI, PS, AND C4D IF YOU WANT TO CONTINUE TO PROGRESS IN THIS INDUSTRY. It is not easy, but follow MOBOX and you will be able to keep up with this ever moving industry. Thanks for your support! Go follow @PixelAndBracket
This is the clearest expanation on how to do this effect that I have seen. I really liked your pointing out that tiny changes would change what you get.
thanks brother! I subbed! It took me two hours but I got it ,My computer crashed twice ! I'm new to AI and really appreciate you sharing your knowledge! It was very clear and easy to follow one of the best tuts!
great video my friend. Only advice would be with the gradiant too and size of your shapes, add a over view window with your settings and sizes for everything. it took me about 45min to realize i had my gradiants way off from yours and when i went to make the blend it looked nothing like yours. it is very important to have a very close gradiante settings as yours. all and all it took me about 1hr to follow and complete the process and i had to start over from scratch once. great training tool and something i dont ever see anyone learing without watching a video like this. so thank you very much
Dude that was so cool. it's my 1st time to know the shifting step between the Zigzag & bloat FX. Thanks bro I used to make a looong work around to get the same result. I used to make it as "Mandala" 1 sector then make't as Symbol then repeat it to complete the circle... Dude thanks so much
This is a great tutorial, thanks for sharing man. I have a question, when i save as pdf and high quality print options, it turns to an animation on PDF. Those effects are animation effects? I am so new on illustrator, if it is a stupid question i am so sorry.
Really awesome tutorial! I like how you narrate what you do but don't use "baby language" which some people do, haha. Really helpful for learning some stuff in my freetime:)
How could you organize your window panel (right side)with name? How can I make this happen in my windows 10 illustrator cc 2017? Could you please help me??
Mithun Biswas make sure you’re working in the updated CC version of Illustrator. If so, look under the “view” drop down to hide/unhide the corner widget
Hi MOBOX, in this tutorial of how to make a 3d mesh object in illustrator, you mentioned to paste in place the hot key was cmd + shift + B however this turned off my bounding box and made it very confusing. After searching how to retrieve the bounding box I found the following answer: The toggle for Bounding boxes is Cmd + Shift + B. See if it works. If it doesn't it's no big deal. You've got tools for doing everything you need to do. Personally I hate bounding boxes and am perfectly happy without them. Which says that hot key you said is actually to turn the bounding box off. Did you mean CMD + SHIFT + V ??
Also I noticed as I was transforming the shape making it larger but centered that the stroke was also being enlarged as the shape was enlarged, I fixed this by going right click > transform > scale and then clicking off the box next to: "scale strokes & effects" , I left "scale corners" box on though. Should I also turn "scale corners" off? What is the best setting?
Hi there! To your first question, yes I definitely said CMD + SHIFT + V. Sorry that the audio is a little confusing there, the pronunciation of B and V are very close which can lead to confusion. And for your second point, scale stokes & effects will definitely effect the end result. Depending on the shape you create and blend, I would keep scale corners on, that will help any live corners remain similar in curvature.
@pixel&Bracket Sorry I re-watched the video and had one more question, how can you tell how large the artwork is? When do you know its too big in terms of complexity? I really don't know how to describe my question that well I hope it makes sense. Second question: If I wanted to create a lot of these to make up a background full of them, how can I do so without making my computer crash? I'm thinking rasterize? But often times rasterizing makes it have a white background which wouldn't work, how could I make the artwork smaller or in different form so that my computer doesnt run as slow and its more of an object rather than thousands of strokes?

Best Adobe tutorial I ever saw, cause every other video I follow, My render slows down by 50%
Your video effect is very impressive. However, how can they be converted into editable paths to fine-tune the details?
This was such a beautiful tutorial

I use the Essentials workspace in all my programs. You can find it under Window > Workspace > [Essentials]
good
Can I do a remake video of this?
why does my gradient, instead of going from black to green, it passes by grey?
is there an extra color in your gradient? make sure it only includes two colors and it should blend from black to green
Superlative
I can not see the live corner dialog box.

Отличная работа! У меня получилось так же! Даже лучше)
👍👍
beautiful I'd love to be able to write a math equation to get the same result
oh man, I'm sure there's some sort of generative art equation that could yield the same results, but I don't even know where to begin haha
your voice is very nice,hahah.
my gaming laptop couldn't handle the pucker and bloat lol rip
