Hi pal, great video. Just a question. Is it ok to use both main outs (double jacks) on the first desk, as you did, but going into a stereo channel (single jack) on the second? I know a 'Y' cable will be needed but just wondered if it will still work ok? Cheers
tharts not how the channels work you have TS which is mono or TRS that also is mono either one gives you Mono input the difference is balanced to unbalanced the TR being unbalanced and the TRS is balance TRS is cleaner and more out put all channels are mono input for these generaly these are your mic channels the others can be used for TR like a guitar or bass there are channels with a Left and right input these are like. a stereo input so you can have one item in each side or you use the left and right for a stereo input all the mic channels can rung TR or TRS and give you left and right but they are mono either way for input the split channels can be used for stereo input or left only or right only also on these channels youll find on some mixers not only are their 1/4 inch jacks but RCA jacks for plugging stuff how ever they are stereo chanels so the item needs to use both jacks for left and right for stereo in this case but you also can not use the 1/4 in and the rca on the same channel same time it wont let you you have to choose which connection type you want to use,, Hope this helped you out ..
Thanks for the great video , had to subscribe , so I have a Mackie DL 1608 with just RT and LEFT XLR output , when connecting to another mixer Channel 1 and 2 line in I get distortion but if I go to channel 7/8 right and left its ok just the volume is a lot lower , any help thanks
gain could be to high on the problem channel that can happen , the other channel the attunitor/pad/db cut switch could be on and thanks and your welcome let me know if this helps
My question is, I want to connect the stage mixer to the main house mixer. With the same idea of connecting two mixer board together, can i connect the out of the stage mixer to say, a separate speaker(s) on stage?
I just want to learn how to send my mixer to the main house as i want to run my backing track and in ear monitors through my own desk but send the sound to other desk i will only have backing track and vocals going through my mixer so do i just need a guitar lead to do this?
sending sound to house is just using the speaker mains out i have a review comming on a new mixer i got also a yamaha and ill explain all this in that video so please stay tunned subscribe and hit the bell to be notified wehn i upload videos and youll know when its posted .
My question might be stupid, but I don't understand why daisy chain 2 mixers instead of connecting them separately, one to each audio interface input (if you have a 2 input interface) ?
because to get stereo you need left and right from each channel into the interface so you need to tie them like i did so al channels can get mixed properly otherwise you'll have one mixer all left and one all right
All due respect, in the description, tell us where the juice is man! Simply how do we connect the 2 together. Listened to bits and pieces and cant find that important info.
ill make this simple seeing as you did not pay atten or even look at the mixers you take the house audio outs from the one on the left and then you plug the cables into any free stereo channel on the other mixer or a channel that is stero with gain control ..

@@brandongiannasi4455 make what ever you hook into the left mixer will go into the right mixer and output to what ever source your going into for the audio
all these videos about hooking up to or more mixers do not describe how to deal with aux-outputs (maybe for fx or monitoring). Why? It is not that complicated but logically and needfull/important to know!
please, I want to ask. if i have a personal monitor mixer(hear back ) and i have an analog mixer but i do not have a direct out . So what should I do ? to change from insert to direct out.
i think what your talking about sounds like and AUX out on the mixer not many have an AUX out but they all have mains out and you do have a headphone out so you can use the headphone out the same way you would use and AUX you just need to cobble togther the right connector cables for that . option 2 is buy a better mixer that has AUX out ,, hopefully this helps
So can you connect 2 mixers to add more channels but both are going to a computer?? So say Mixer 1 has 24 channels and Mixer 2 has another 24 channels. Can you make Mixer 1 do channels 1-24 and Mixer 2 do channels 25-42??
you can tie 2 or more mixers together and have both going to the computer yes because the 1 is the master to the computer the others are slaves to the master eeach new slav creates a new master to also be a slvave so you dont really have a limint on how many you can connect togeter and everything will goto the master mixer that connects to the computer
@@elijahkyallo4996 watch the video again i do explain this also check my video on hooking unliminted mixers together as well i go over all this infor in both videos
you input the 1 mixer to the other and you only need the 1 set of outputs from the master mixer the 1 ont he right in my video is my output anyhow the speaker outs goto your amp then the amps output goes to your speakers ,, if you have a powered board and a non powerd board then you hook the non powered one into the channel for your in put then you have your speakers hooked yo the master out put which would be the powered mixer.. ,,
connect your passive speaker to the power amp then connect the amp to the equalizer if you are using equalizer then connect equalizer to the mixer. if you dont use equalizer connect the power amp directly to the mixer
its cheaper to run 2 12s then to buy a 24 for example and this way to if your doing a gig and dont need more then 12 channels then take one with you and leave the other at home makes more sense or if your budge is tight and you cant afford as 24 or bigger then just piggy back less expensive ones that you can afford
thanks for this great and useful description.
your welcome
