Emission "Les enfants du rock" 1986 from DVD 2 bonus The Pogues in Paris - 30th Anniversary Concert Live at the Olympia. English subtitles are available!
A bloody time capsule is this video. Everyone, even Shane, were still lucid somewhat and skinnier. And seeing a bit of Cait (original bassist) during Waxie's Dargle, was a treat. The French Subs were a hoot
There’s some early classics in here..Poor Paddy..Waxies Dargle and the first track off the first album, the brilliant Transmetropolitan…The band were absolutely mental live at this time…Shane R.I.P..and Philip
Brilliant to see this A group of lads that never got response of lyrics, music they produce the craic and love of music shone out .Shane's a poet, storyteller like luke kelly ❤
This is proba3the best video I've seen about the bands early years. One thing it shows up to perf3 Is something often forgetten about Mr mac gowan.... Just how shy he is. Once you know that, a lot falls into place.
One of your band mates said when you label your music, it is an insult to the band and to the public perception. Let the public label it. Don’t give out any preconceived ideas. Amen😅
Shane Treacy Zis is his job. And they won’t show when he cannot do it but it happens. He was fired from the band once and founded another one (the Popes, of course). I saw them in Montreux, Switzerland. Then they re-hired him because he cannot be replaced that easily for he is the soul of the band and a great poet and performer. Chops my ass that Lemmy’s dead and Shane is still alive. I think 🤔 😉👍🏻
Shane is being MUCH to modest about the musicianship of the Pogues. Not only was he a masterful and poetic lyricist and gifted singer, but every one of the band members was incredibly skilled.
Merci Shane-o I had tickets - billets for this show of Sally performance at age 16 and broke all the bones in my leg the day before - Sorry Mum never gonna forgive ya for not letting me go ! Rip Shane-o thank you for MAKING IRELAND'S XMAS SONG A PUNK ONE FOREVER! RIP Shane-o pur one out for Sinead too 2023 is "haunted" by too early ghosts
Its sad he became a character. He was a well broght up public school boy but rebelled, done to many drugs lsd and never stopped rebellion and never came back and firgot who he was
Wow, I can actually hear Shane's London accent very clearly. Nowadays when he talks, even if you can understand him, his accent is obscured by the slurred-ness and the lack of teeth. His laugh if the same, though.
Its crazy that they were an English band and manufactured in a way. I'm second generation Ireland my dad still in Ireland and I've heard the Pogues my whole life but only greatest hits and couldn't believe when looked into there catolugue that they only done 3 great albums RRFM,RSANDTL,IISFFGOGOD and HD could of been good if shane could sing and couldn't believe Shane was only on form for 4 years and detoriated so quick! Along with Kurt Cobain Shane was biggest loss to music and i mean musically he was dead by 1990

The legend that is Shane MacGowan. Pure genius 💚
He changed my life after my car crash.i had to get all of his music.it got me to walk again.
First time i heard the Pogues was in this show. I was 13.
I still listen to their music.
Amazing to see a lucid Shane talking about his music when he was in his prime.

remember him from eurotrash 😂 great video.
MCGOWAN CAN HARDLY PUT TWO WORDS TOGETHER WHEN HE TALKS.HOW CAN HE SING SUCH RAPID SONGS SO FAULTLESSLY?I HAVE NEVER BEEN ABLE TO FIGURE IT OUT.

Any priest that says you can't have Holy Communion whenever and wherever you like might like to think again.

can anyone tell me the name of the song at the very beginning? thanks
The Pogues - Wildcats of Kilkenny :)
+little tramp Wildcats of Kilkenny
Wildcunts of milkhoney
Shane is not dead ;)
The only miracle of 2020, Shane is alive 💪🏼👍🏼
rip shane
Vive l'Irlande!!! Réunifiée!!!
