I’ve had infinitely more fun with the new updates than before. Squads on average have more cohesion, I don’t just get deleted by nothing because people are running around kill farming anymore, the list goes on. I think the hotfix fixed most issues, namely the MG bipods being usable now
The optimization of the game is the biggest issue for me. I dont have a great computer but before the update I could play at medium graphics jsut fine but I just installed it yesterday again and now I have horrible lag at low graphics on servers with low ping
Same, i used to play at medium settings uncapping the texture pool and had no issue, after the update i can only play at low settings texture pool capped, if i try to open the texture pool the game crashes my computer and, i have to restart my computer, my laptop has 3050ti 16gb ram amd ryzen gen 7, shit i can even play cyberpunk and starfield no problem but some textures on squad thats a no go, shits stupid and they gotta optimize the asap
I play on a 6 year old 1060 on all low settings but I had to update my drivers and mess with the PIP settings for this update. I was getting terrible fps when looking through scopes. I assume it does the same for other people.

If you are driving an Abrams, you are going to need that multi fuel ability, you wont get anywhere without a whole Gas station behind you.
I was against the new update because I loved the gun play in Squad before 6.0, but I have learnt to adapt to the new gun mechanics in 6.0 and it is so, so, so good. The skill ceiling is through the roof now. There is no other game on the market that offers this type of "hard to master" gun mechanics. Brilliant work Devs trying to bring back Project Reality. I understand the hype now. Also, I can still run and gun like a twat, I just play slower and out aim people lmao.
There is Counter Strike though. Its basic shooting mechanic is very hard to master, especially using automatic weapons.
i think the swaying with AR and pistols is too much but for lmgs rpgs and snipers makes sense but if i even move a inch while ads it goes everywhere but besides that i enjoy the gameplay more than before.

Squad is much more populated and better if you want a more hardcore tactical shooter, but I really like PS and it's been picked up by the Squad devs so it most likely will resume development. You can buy them and refund them before you hit 2 hours of play time.
Should I play squad or insurgency sandstorm?
depends, I don't play sandstorm as much cause most servers have bots, but Squad is more enjoyable for me these days especially with the changes
3:44 If you look historically, squad player count is down following a major update. It is also down about 30% since the ICO was announced. Not looking good for Squad. I already peaced out as the game’s been ruined by the ICO.

Pistol movement and sway, when you try to aim a little bit left or right is hillarious. Last drop of nonsence that made me hate the game much more.
They should increase the sway again, this was a step backwards. I have a great computer (no I don't care enough to list my specs), and I still get some artifacting and visual errors combined with lag on some PiP scopes.
