incase anyone missed what this cover is from, we were shooting another video that day, and I decided we should jam a tune.
I figured this is 3 chords, we can do it in a laid back blues rock feel for a bit of fun, and it allowed us to create the shootout video I shot with Universal Audio.
Thanks for checking it out!
You guys did a great job!!! Sounds amazing!
Rabea Massaad Good job you "guys" : ) I would go for a mix of both, Neve and modern stuf. Hum ?
ps: Rob is fired !!!
Rabea Massaad
I'm guessing you posted the mix using the real Neve. The high end is clear and wide open. The bass isn't as muddy as the UAD Neve either.
Badass. Better than the original by a long shot. Name this band "Wicked Game" record an EP and go international. Hannah needs to sing with y'all more, incredible stuff!
This is absolutely brilliant.
How does Rabea own all the different genres? He sounds like a Blues guitarist with balls, not a metal guitarist trying to play blues - very impressive, the guitar tones are just right.
Metal musicians tend to play different styles for control and accuracy so when they play metal, they're better at it.
I'm with you dude. good ears.
Most musicians enjoy playing many genres. They're all intertwined, if you pay attention.
Fuckin well said man! So true Phillip!
Kinda like Mark Morton?
Hannah:s interpretation is near perfect. I favor this cover over my prior favourite by H.I.M. Wondered why Rabea sports a strat, but by the solo it became clear. Gilmore would be proud :)
Why Would He Sport a Strat??? Duh!
@@johncrowe5164 yeah, I ONLY play Yamaha Pacifica 112V superstrats, not aye single F -branded s-style gtr in me collection, just only last nite I thought Id exchange my latest Yam for aye sg-type but ended up finetunin it in the middle of a night! for near perfection, my five Yamaha Pacifica 112Vs are great!!!!! ABS FAB!
Rabea frequently uses the strat.
Oh my gosh! Rabea's solo, oh hell his play throughout, and Hannah's voice from 4:48 gave me chills! Amazing!
Casually just makes one of the best cover's of this song ever
I didn't think anyone could top the emotion contained in the original by Chris Isaak.........I was wrong. This is something else. Not to call them out but Hannah singing and Rabea on the guitar.......what a freaking amazing combination.
i love this, Hannahs voice is butter and toska gets mellow real well, very high level musicians! much love from Seattle
Cosmo Hakala id kill to see them play in seattle. met bea in seattle on the west coast tour. solid guy.
Hannah and Rabea.... please, Please, PLEASE.... do NOT stop creating music, no, songs together. The magic is other-wordly. This song is CRAZY good! CRAZY!!!!
That is a great solo Rabea
Yes do a tutoria for beginners like me.how to play a solo like that.god level
@@vicentefernandez8435 I just learned it by ear dude...don't wait for people to help you just go out and try to find a way that works for you
@@vicentefernandez8435 step 1: practice to level up from beginner...
step 2: practice more
step 3: easy
Right now, it‘s exactly why i‘m here! But the whole Performance ist great👌
I see I have wasted the last 2 years of my life without hearing the best bridge position strat tone I have ever heard. You absolutely amaze me Rabeah.
Hoska - Toska with Hannah
+Darth Stamnes 10/10 would pay to see.
More like Dorjgay XD
huh...
''hoska'' LoL!! That sounds hillarious to a Brazilian (or any Portguese speaking person)
This cover is absolute insane! Gorgeous vocals and a ripping guitar solo!!!
Rob just did a Q&A where as part of an answer to a question, he said if he could, he'd have Rabea's note choice.
TOO RIGHT!!
It's awesome the way Hannah listens to Bea's solo. Now if I could only get my wife to listen to my playing the same way...
@guitdoc Truth. they all say they love your guitar playing in the beginning of the relationship. A few months later it's just one more thing they need to change about you.
are they a couple?
Just tell her how much it would mean to you. In words she can only understand.
awwww
@@xooperz they live together I believe.
OMFG the chemistry is freaking amazing! why isn't this lineup a full time band? Come on Bea lets make this happen, coz you and that strat just made sweet sweet tonal love on this track, and this bluesy/soul/r&b style gave me goose bumps all over bruh :) EPIC! thank you :)
Holy sh-t Rabea, that was a gorgeous solo! I love the original of course but this take with that solo and Hannah's vocals is what I've been humming recently, this was beautiful!
I like the way everyone just plays with their head down when she sings, like they know they’re in the presence of an angel
what? lol
Some people are just born with music in their souls... I wasn't one of them... but I sure as hell can appreciate those that were. Hannah & Rabea are just MAGIC.
Bea's Tone man!!
infuckinsane
I like when he plays the strat.. He plays different..........
Beast-one indeed
Rabea is one hell of a guitarist, he absolutely takes this cover to another level with that solo
dat solo o_0
Rabea and Strats were made for eachother
More like Rabea and 28" scale baritones
More like Rabea and guitars period.
agree
Rabea and music in general makes life more bearable.
+Max Scardanelli You mean more Bea-ble, don't you?
That solo section. The tone and expression is insane
Sounded like a Stevie Ray Vaughn inspired guitar solo. Great job!
lol, the look hannah gives after the solo is fantastic
Hahaha I caught that. Arms crossed and it seems like she wanted to say, "STOP TAKING MY LIMELIGHT!" But I'm sure it was just a random look and she wouldn't really be like that. The solo made this song for me.
Whenever I need to hear an epic solo I search for this video.
This needs to be a band. Please
This is absolutely the best stuff i 've heard in a long time! Everyone Is on the mark... Passion !!!
Kudos to all
Next maybe a Jeff Buckley cover? Or a rock London grammar cover? Cheers guys
Matt Eden cover London grammar covering wicked game
Matt Eden On the nail Matt. They should do Hallelujah.
The best two covers of that song on the internet are this one and that one...both with singers named Hannah, incidentally!
I love Dorje, I love Toska, and I enjoy Hannah's other stuff. That said, you're making a good case for having Toska and Hannah join forces for some laid-back blues-based rock. A little bit of the Winery Dogs without the instrumental masturbation, you know? I mean, I know it's a cliche that whenever a band introduces the "GF" into the mix that the band has a falling-out, but there's some real musical chemistry here.
I know that you hide the picks in your hair...
thats where all mine end up I think......
Rabea hands down sickest guitarist I've ever seen.
Really? Hes amazing and extremely talented...but petrucci? Buckethead? Paul Gilbert? Satriani? Vai? Dimebag? Hendrix? Fruciante? Srv? Jeff beck? Eric johnson?......those guys aren't better?
@@davidwile1277 He's different, so well versed in multiple genres, and to me, that's one of the things that makes him so inspirational, but at the end of the day, its very subjective, whether one guitarist is better than the next!
@@davidwile1277 Respect others opinions ffs He doesnt need to think that those legends are bad he just preffers Rabea...You need to calm down
@@Johnny_0706 I'm pretty calm
I hear everybody saying the same thing about Guthrie Govan these days. I would say I prefer Rabea's taste in composition more than Govan. I'm not really into fusion though. Paul Gilbert is still for me the sickest I've ever seen on guitar. Rabea is in the top of class of young guns who are up and coming.
papa bless
Amazing song. Superb rendition. What freaks me out about this song is that, to me, the original sounds like an authentic 1950s classic but was released in 1990
That is truly a BADASS version of a GREAT Song! (The solo was FREAKIN' AWESOME!) Hannah's voice makes my tummy feel funny! That's a good thing! I love it! - This comment is all the way from Texas, USA!! Yall freakin ROCK!!
This cover involves some of my favourite lead work from Rabea, really frickin' good
sometimes I forget that Bea is huge and just think Hannah is tiny.
He is huge, and she is tiny.
Jonah Husak Yeah man. Having met them both, I'm wondering how Hannah is still in one piece or isn't a few inches taller after banging Bea multiple times!!! 😉😉😂😂👌🏻👌🏻
Jonah Husak huge height-wise? I thought he was like 5'10
Leonardo Rechsteiner I thought he was significantly taller than that, could totally be wrong though. just heading that on the fact he's several inches taller than most of the Anderton's crew without accounting for the fro
His facebook profile says that he's 6ft 1 and tons of fun😂
i love when Bea makes that Strat sing 2:23
Hannah knocks it out of the park!!! The Fender tones are bang on. Great cover guys #awesome
I don't know what I like more Hannahs voice or Bea getting his blues on
Bea's feel in that solo is insane. He's definitely my favorite player on RUclips; everything that dude plays is just so creative and musical.
Leo Moracchioli brought me here. My second favorite cover of this, the first being H.I.M.’s.
This cover is absolutely incredible I've lost count of how many times I've listened to it, if only it were available to buy on iTunes or listen to on Spotify or something... ;)
You could always go down Dodgey Road and grab the audio.
I use RUclips TO MP3 convert link
@@imelvino 4K video downloader buddy, converts youtube vids. exellent
I just click it again, & again & again. I love It. It's perfect.
Dave don't watch alone, do it with Cici. This happened to me once 27years ago, I'm 75 now, alone, I will never heal, I wish you both all the lov6 in the world. Rodge David xxxx❤😢
Wow! Not what I was expecting, very smooth! Excellent!
😍😍😍😍Hannah Boulton 😍😍😍😍
🙌 Rabea🙌
Love when you two collaborate!!!!!
Amazingly done. Great interpretation, astonishing solo! Absolutely impresed, gretings from Paraguay
rebea is on a different planet hes so good at any style he plays and obviously the others are amazing as well! nice job.
Excellent!!! Everyone sounds great but Hannah's voice and her way of performing this song really does it justice.
If you want to learn the solo, I made a cover with the tabs on my channel. Enjoy ;)
Amazing
Always very big arms bro good good, and thanks very much for tab again!!
Leo didn't know it at the time but he obviously made Stratocasters for just four people: Hendrix, SRV, Eric Johnson, and Rabea ;)
Brian Anderson make that 8
malmstein, blackmore, clapton and fusante
Brian Anderson make that 9.. DAVID GILMOUR!
11 - the edge and captain lee
And Frusciante
Who the hell is Fusante? Sounds like something out of the 1st Madagascar movie. It's spelt Frusciante.
The sound on this atrat is just insane,,,,The more I hear it the better it gets,,,,,Just insane!! Nice job Mr.Massaad.
Rabea is one lucky man;)
True, that strat is sick :p
And don't forget his friends with whom he plays! He truly is a lucky man!
Also that victory amp is killer!!!!!!
I thought that was a comment regarding Hannah. Very lucky man.
bea and dave are a match made in heaven
The torment builds but never quite reaches anguish. So perfect!
You have a bride of Frankenstein thing going with the sun in your hair.
"Most replayed" indicator says everything.
I'd love to hear a rendition of Evanescence Bring Me Back to Life
Still one of the most badass guitar solos I ever heard in a slow blues like song! Awesome job!
In Greek Mythology Harpies lured sailors to their death on rocks with Mesmerizing music and Hannah is the Harpy of Heavenly Harmonies
Lol you’re thinking of sirens. Harpies are hideous women with wings.
Hi Bea! Great cover, i think it´s the real neve but my question is, could you upload tabs to this? I´d love to play that solo! Keep the good stuff coming, greetings from Madrid!
Use the ear!
This performance has touched my soul. Thank you for this. I need this right now in my life. God bless you all
Hannah at 4:13 "Whenever you're done there, boss...". Kickass song, everyone. Still enjoying it years later.
fieryweasel I honestly never noticed that before; that was beautiful 😂
155 ppl have a very limited understanding of music quality...
I just discovered this, and it is amazing! Rabea can play anything and make it sound beautiful. Hannah adds so much to the plaintive emotion of the vocals. A truly beautiful cover!
A touch of Rabea! Bro you got mad skills Respect!!
Holy shit! Amazing version of the song. Man I think I liked it better than the original. Great job!
Just came here. Drums and bass are very good. Rabea is the reason to listen.
Vocals are OK, but not at the level of everyone else.
Beautiful song , almost as beautiful as Hannnah's voice \m/
this is one of the most amazing "covers" I have ever heard... just freaking fantastic... just found your channel, and now Hannah's too... good stuff..
and just seen you collaborated with Leo M on one of his metal covers, LOVED that too... thanks for doing what you all do!!
I can't stop listening to this, It's one helluva cover!! Better than the original. Hanna sings and Rabea on guitar are an awesome combo. You both kick ass!!
could she be the actual singer for toska? a prog band with a female singer would be fairly original, and she could expand your listeningaudience.
MrTaterWedges sounds like a nice idea, but I'm pretty sure that wouldn't happen. Bea said in a recent video that Toska is purposely instrumental. It'd have to be a new "band" to be separate
No no no no no!! She has a beautiful voice, but Toska are perfect the way there are! they don't need a singer!
i think the only option for toska to get singer is for ian kenny or maynard to leave their bands and request to join them :D
That would defeat the purpose of toska lol, dont get me wrong Hannah's voice is amazing, but any singer would ruin toska
/watch?v=6YZBJwTazdE maybe you'd enjoy this band?
Is the audio all from one take? The shot of Hannah with folded arms still cracks me up.
Rabea's solo reminds me of David Gilmour...
You know how on every singing competition show someone says "You could sing the phonebook and it would sound amazing.." Rabea, I think you're one of those guitar players. Jazz, Rock, Blues, Metal...I think you could do anything you wanted actually. It was all I could do to learn how to play some punk and rock (amateur level), I'd love to be able to play bluesy stuff like that. Sidenote: I love when Fender maple fret boards get all worn and dirty like that, feels amazing to play. Bravo!
This wz me n my hubbys song😢 RIP boo. He woulda loved this
Ambitious. Remaking a Chris Issac song. Perhaps his best song; a damn near perfect song. Ballsy.
4:13
Hannah to Rabea: Are you done? Can I sing now?
It was more like.... I'm lovin it... keep going boy!
@@mellowmonsoon278 no... lol that was a scowl. Lol, I dont think that was planned on rabea's part. But cant fucking complain, that was the sickest solo among the greats.
Love coming back and listening to this. Honestly this holds its own against the original. Fucking killer!
For the first time, I understood the lyrics, and indeed felt that I understood the song generally. Thanks. Hannah... your voice... gee.
I keep coming back for that solo
Sustainiac in a bass ? interesting :D
Everything Rabea touches turns to gold.....the rest of the band is topnotch pros!
The best number by Rabea, Hanna Dave and Ben. Luv.
Is there a place to buy an mp3 of this beautiful cover?
Holy shit that was immense. Hannah has a hell of voice! Bea, that solo. Damn.
This is a good version, but London Grammar wins for me.
She has the voice of angels incredible
Amazing Solo Rabea!!! Lot's of feeling!!! Can't wait to meet you guys in NY Next week!!!
holy maccaroni i feel the love and passion to musik in all of you. i love how you send emotions right through the f**** cable in to my heart! nice thanks for making mee feel like this!
I'm sorry but the musicians nailed the feeling of the song . I lost myself in it. The vocals too rehearsed didn't connect with the feeling. This song is ALL passion and feeling. Just sounds like you're singing over it not with it.
Heard this in one of her other vlogs and had to come and listen... One of my favorite Isaaks songs.
That was totally KEWL!!! Your vocals are outstanding! And Rabea killed the guitar in it. :)
Really, finding these little gems now and then makes YT still worthwhile! Rabea's tone and playing is outstanding here.
Nice version! The solo... the solo is superb!
Regards from Portugal!
i love how your eyes light up when you smile!!!!
This is excellent. Love the vocals. Very creative solo, from which I'm definitely going to steal some licks.
Got Dam dat solo!!
Respectfully, as a drummer that has issues with tempo.... this is hard to listen to. Everyone sounds great! Including the drummer... - signed a drummer.
Why has it taken over 2 years for me to discover this? What a fantastic cover of a wonderful song. The tones Bea gets out of that strat are truly tremendous.
why doesn't this song have 50 million views?!
It's funny listening to them just do a regular song that's fairly simple.
