I had a bjj instructor that showed the finger in the neck move off defending a side headlock. With the warning that you'll be dropping someone face first into the ground..... sorry for the aside. I enjoyed the video.

Finger push-ups is a good type of conditioning. In addition, apart from the neck area, the lower ribs that have cartilage parts are a good target.

The need certain systems have for hand conditioning is an essential piece of knowledge. For Northern Mantis, the Hao family integrated Tongbei and added a lot of striking routes. But to use the Hao family throwing hands, you need iron palm training. Bei Shaolin uses spear hand extensively and it trains iron spear. The Yang family at least from the 2nd generation onwards (Banhou and later) uses a lot of finger spears (it’s by far the dominant long hand attack). So they almost certainly had some kind of spear hand conditioning within their system.

I think the original methods of “iron training” were for aiding in medical treatment by greatly intensifying the flow of Qi to the hands or were used to aid in meditation. The iron training methods most relevant to medical treatment seem to be cinnabar palm, 5 poisons hand, one sun/chan finger meditation, and internal iron arm meditation. The meditative aids would include treatises like the Yi jin Jing and the Xi Sui Jing. The martial art offshoots of the hand/arm methods seem to be the iron palm, iron spear, iron claw, and iron arm. Martial iron body systems often share the “beating” methods of iron arm training.

I don't quite like to use the bius. Specially because where you have to strike with them.
And you can break your fingers, sifu

for finger training, I extend my arms forward and place my fingers against the wall like the bill jee position and start backing my feet up so I'm holding my weight with my fingers, I bend the middle finger a bit so the tips of the first 3 fingers form a level surface, this way I'm not trying to hold my body weight with just the tips of my middle fingers.
Does anyone else do this? Do you think it's a good way to build finger strength, Adam, without doing damage to myself? I can hold it for several minutes, and I'm definitely exerting my body weight fully, cause if I close my hands I'll fall face first into the floor, well the top of my head or knuckles of my hands would probably scrape all the way down the wall first. I'm leaning enough that I wouldn't be able to catch myself

I am not saying you cant fingerstrike someone in the eyes or anywhere else. But that is NOT what the biu jee is made for.
Biu Jee is "Look beyond the pointing finger", meaning you should look past what you learned before to not forget what you want to acchieve: defend yourself and win.
In biu jee you break with rules and prinicipals from chum kiu and siu lim tao on purpose to recover from a bad position or to fight multiple opponents.
