just bought a light ride pst7 for 200$, which i upgraded from a planetz crash i used as a ride and i have to say, it has so much superior sound, it has long sustain (which i really like), really nice bright sound and it has nice attack it really just opens up so much sound and cuts through the drums and other cymbals nicely so you can actually hear it, it feels so good i 100% recommend it for beginners or even intermediate drummers if you have the cash
I have the same set but the heavy series. They sound near identical to my 2002's I used to have. I was told its because they use the same B8 blanks, but have less lathing.

I can’t believe this pack is only $450.
this must've been filmed in the driest room ever, i have an exact set of these and they sound a thousand times better than they do here

@@kryptic1995 i know it's been 2 years but no. I replied to a guy who mentioned their similarities to the 2002s but then he deleted his comment.

Why in the world would you ever do a cymbal demo with mallets when you hit the cymbals 100% of the time with sticks.....Duh
Too much acoustic foam I think lol.
i play paiste 20 2002 medium ride, sabian crash 18 and zildjian 14 hi hats im listening to the sound not the BRAND
Sound between sabian b8 and alpha
So these sound way better than zildjian zbt?
Zildjian I family series isnt that bad either. Paiste has better b8 options for damn sure!
I have Alpha Metal Ride, Alpha Thin Crash 18, PST5 Thin Crash 16 and 502 Hi-Hat, and I like all of them more than then this.
