Buying t-shirts to fit me would probably cost me a mint, so I have this handy dandy sewing machine, I know how to use it, but I didn't know how to do the sleeves. Great tutoriaI, thank you. I use a similar method for all hemming...except dont press , as some fabrics like denim mark, i was taught ( by my Mum 55 years ago!) to pin to measurement and run a contrasting hand basting thread along the bottom, then remove pins and mark cutting line, try on, and if happy, cut like you do. I had a polyester flare dress hem to do for someone...i needed this method as the iron might have melted it!!!
Would you happen to have a tutorial on shortening full length sleeves on a stretch material dress? I want to shorten the sleeves on mine quite a bit. Not turn it into a sleevless dress but short capped sleeves if that makes sense? I'm not sure how well it would work though.
