- Ed Miliband branded Tory mayoral candidate Susan Hall a ‘flat earther’ during a campaign with Labour's Sadiq Khan. The shadow secretary for energy security and net zero said voting for anyone else but Sadiq could give Susan Hall a ticket to City Hall.
Speaking about deputy leader Angela Rayner, he said she is an inspiration and “exactly the kind of person we need in politics."
The shadow energy minister told PA: “We are absolutely 100% behind Angela. We are absolutely confident that she has complied with the rules. She welcomes the fact she can set out the facts.”
He added: “My message to the country is we are incredibly proud of Angela Rayner, our deputy leader.
“She is an inspiring person, she is exactly the kind of person we need in politics. If a Labour government is elected, I look forward to Angela Rayner serving as deputy prime minister. Frankly the Conservative party is a desperate party that has nothing to say to the country about the big issues that it faces.“

I think he might be getting a bit mixed up about which conspiracy is which, but that aside, the messaging is on point. Climate deniers need to be removed/kept from government wherever possible.

If Susan Hall can stop knife crime and attacks on women, she has my vote. But she's not making any commitments to stop knife crime, which means, she's not up for the job.

How? By following along with the Tory policies that slashed police numbers, scrapped sure start, gutted the criminal justice system so crimes aren’t prosecuted because there aren’t the judges or lawyers ti hear their case and th court houses are falling down, allowed the prisons to fill up to the point they’re releasing rapists early because there’s no room for them? She’s a Tory, she only cares about making the super rich richer at the expense of the suffering of working people like the rest of them. Whatever she says, look at actions not words
