Breaking down each segment: Squirrel girl is about how people hate others for being different. And only like popular people. The balloons is about how people cant handle opinions. The boy asks if he can like balloons, and the man gets angry. The hungry spider is about either gluttony or consumerism. The spider eats all of the food, so it could be telling people to go buy food. Unfortunately, the vomiting shows that it has consequences. Gonzalo stare is about how people constantly treat women like hoes, and when they start acting like hoes, people get mad and call them tramps, etc. Come pet my animals is about animal cruelty. It shows dead animals in bad conditions, but the man insists on making money from his petting zoo, not caring about animals at all. I had some pretty harsh months of suffering from existential anxiety until I found this. The first time I found this channel was on a "weird side of RUclips" playlist. I saw treatsforbeasts' "who wants to knaw on human bones" video. Interested, I checked out his RUclips channel and subscribed for his interesting and thought provoking content. And then I found this video. I checked it out and didn't expect much until the uhh.. fleshlight puppet.. started asking questions about existence and such. I felt as if each question had been taken from my own mind and, bizarrely, gave me some new perspective. Thank you treatsforbeasts. Your philosophy gave me a reason to live, love, cry, laugh, create, and enjoy my time here. I know this is only the perspective of a mortal man but it is comforting nonetheless. Edit: wtf this blew up it's been 3 years and didn't realise this had over 500 likes. I'm kind of a pantheist now? lmao
I also started from “who wants to gnaw on human bones” and then “beasts” But seriously how does this stuff give you less anxiety? It gives me more lmfao. Congrats on getting better though :DD

Wow. For a guy who ponders the philosophical implications of life, eloquently, endlessly, and with a clearly refined intellect, until you uncover the secrets of the universe and the meaning of life... YOU'VE NEVER HEARD OF BABY FORMULA?
Tell me, then- what's the name of Mr. Fadewell's fat, bearded henchman in E.C. Segar's 1929 comic strip epic "Bernice the Whiffle hen"? The one who has no rheumatism?
This is genius. It has so many things that are hard to understand, but on top of it all, its like horror done exactly right. Instead of relying on cheesy jump scares and 'terrifying' monsters and creatures. This uses uncomfortable imagery and weird creatures to make you scared. It makes it all seem so normal, when in reality, its twisted and dark. I love it.
It makes the twisted and dark seem normal, while highlighting how what's become normal in our world is twisted and dark. It comforts the disturbed and disturbs the comfortable, fulfilling a few of art's most primordial purposes. Unfortunately, most viewers will enthrall themselves with the surface of it all, thereby making it the god that gives "meaning" as a way to limit action (an utter reversal of its intentions, partly because it implies that such intentions exist).
After watching this for a second time I think I picked up on some symbolism. Chauncey is watching a tv program called "treatsforbeasts", which features animated and live action clips that would fit in perfectly with the other content on this RUclips channel. Chauncey represents us, watching these seemingly nonsense videos, but he is still a kid and has a lot to learn. His father, treatsforbeasts, and him talk about religion and life in general for a long time. I think that shows treatsforbeasts seeing us as his "beasts" (he refers to his subscribers as beasts in one video description) like Chauncey and he wants to teach us. During storytime he tells Chauncey about his life. In the flashback we see him with the same hair and attire from his older videos. So those videos took place when Chauncey, or us, were still in our infancy. Now we are 4-5 years old and very curious about the world, so we ask our "daddy" things we don't know. I feel like now the channel is in a second stage and that more videos like this one will follow, eventually. Treatsforbeasts hates religion, but that might be because he is truly a god in disguise that wants to teach humanity to be better. So treatsforbeasts = Second coming of Christ confirmed
I think a very good supporting notion for that is also that Chauncey asks alot about where the cock goes to which he then replies "It's only a cartoon" which given that the things on the TV in the video represent alot of the content of the channel means that we shouldn't take alot of the things too seriously and look for the deep meaning in everyone of his videos.
I'd like to add to this interpretation by pointing out, that Chaunceys questions are born from the videos he sees and then elaborated upon by TreatsforBeasts himself. I think he is telling us, that we shouldn't be satisfied by watching alone, but that we should ask questions about what we see. Does something necessarily have meaning? Or is meaning born by reflection and the act of improvement of ones own perception, similar to the meaning of life as TreatsforBeasts discuss it?
This is absolutely amazing. If this is your last video, It is a perfect way to end the channel. Avante-garde, sincere, and masterfully made. I hope to see more of your work in some form or another. I'm not sure if the talk about Chauncey being a freak is subtextually about how your channel and art is percieved on the internet. Hypothetically if that is the case, I apologize if I miscontextualized your work with my previous video I did last October.
Alaura Alexander I feel sorry for the petting zoo man. He seems unaware that the animals are dead. I would come visit his petting zoo, more to guide and comfort him than to have anything to do with the animals.
it is legitimately a crime that this vid hasn't broken 500,000 views as of now, let alone the millions it deserves. this feels like a full on indie horror film and it's beautiful. a lot of youtube horror straight up lacks the soul and message great horror needs, but not treatsforbeasts. i know nothing about the person that made this (save for probably not being religious lol) but this feels like a real one sided connection. this is peak internet horror. and not because of its tense moments. it makes me think. and it changes how i feel whenever i revisit. a genuine masterpiece that i hope one day will properly be treated as such. even if it never is, i will do my best to uphold that gratitiude in the face of brilliance. thank you, treatforbeasts. your art has made quite an impact on me
This is the embodiment of creativity, art, and freedom of thought. I was entranced and captivated the entire time. I love how you express your view on why we are here, and why to live, in and of itself, is right. No matter the reason. And you can either mope about and think that your existence is meaningless, or embrace life and live it to the fullest, even if you are a "freak". For what is a freak, but a different point of view?
Now, while I could just say "uH Oh, iM oN tHAt weIrD sIde oF YoUTUbE AgaIn" or sarcastically say "This is the best thing ever". But I truly do love this short film you've created. I've enjoyed every video you've put out and I was honestly shocked and filled with glee when I saw this in my notifications. I love how you portray religion as something that has totally brainwashed us and how it has led to overpopulation and the overall destruction of our planet as I share the same views. Hell, there's probably some even deeper meanings that I'm not getting. But on the surface anyway, I share the same views. So really, thank you for this. I hope that TFB can upload at least once in awhile now, but hey, it's not my channel.
Kinda falls apart when you realize it isn't religion causing overpopulation, it's charity. Western populations have stabilized, but third world countries continue to grow beyond sustainibility. But enjoy the weird satanic video, I guess.
@@therandomartistgirl2815 I'm not sure myself how much these videos are meant to convey occult (somewhat=Satanism) messages. But if you're still interested in that question, I would argue the seminars of Mark Passio about occultism and Satanism may answer them. He claims to once having been a higher priest in the church of Satan but now wants to reveal their destructive ways. You can find him on RUclips.
I don't completely agree with your stance on religion. I think it's dishonest to say that it's bad to negate the existence of something just because it wasn't proven, and at the same breath outright disqualify any possibility of a God for the same reason. I don't think we can definitively know if there's a God or not. I won't negate any possibility of a God existing just because some crazy people will use his presumed existence for their own gain. I do, however, don't think it's likely that God is moral, or that there's life after death. In fact, I doubt we are even in enough control on our own lives to be judged over it after death. And if we will be judged over it after death, however, I guess we're fucked, because it wouldn't be a fair trial. The best-case scenario is that God created our universe and then simply didn't care about it, so he left it be.
This was more thought provoking than the previous 19 100 million dollar superhero action flicks I’ve seen, and it was made by a guy in a satin robe with nothing but a camera and some sex toys. Hats off.
I really appreciate the “what happens after death” part. It really made me feel a lot less scared of death. Death is one of my biggest fears and it gives me so much anxiety to think about but the explanation he gave put me at ease. I also appreciate how that segment ends with “where does the cock goe daddy?”
Watching it the second time I think I love it even more. The layers of detail in the two characters with the overall layers of detail and commitment put into this are just great. Without joking, I really think this is a masterpiece. It is a piece of something that needs no categories and I am very thankful for the time and effort that you put into this, because it really is one of those things that leave an impact. Also, the pacing is perfect, because you did what you did, just as you did with everything. I will watch this again.
Man, you're a godamn legend. Your videos have always been so weird, unsettling, creepy, and funny all at the same time. How you balance these so perfectly i've yet to see replicated in any other medium than your videos. Good on you man seriously, this is actually a masterpiece.
That's the point I'm trying to make, it's an assumption, I haven't heard any official statement on his religious views yet so all we can do is speculate.
I feel like I found this channel at the wrong time, all these people saying “I loved all of your videos” I’ve obviously missed a lot, anyways love this masterpiece
I wish I knew someone as wise as this man earlier in my life, I can reflect on this video for so long, this is stuff that would of made me brilliant now at 16 if I Had heard it younger, this very video is something many people need to see
"Well, only a real freak destroys the things he loves most in the world - because they're too beautiful to take... because happiness and belonging are so foreign that they can't truly be deserved, or even real. Unfortunately, Chauncey, the different forms of freakishness tend to garner the same results, because once you've been designate as such you may be brave enough to reach out for help. But sometimes the more you reach, and the more desperate you appear, then the more the perfect ones will ignore it... and it.... will kill you.." Those words are spoken by a person with the lived experience of growing up a 'freak', as deemed by society, and these lines most eloquently describe the spiral that makes it impossible to escape the unending trial of that lived experience. my heart broke into a million pieces when I saw this part of the film, and I've genuinely never related to anything more in my life.
This is absolutely beautiful. I have been having a tough time lately being sick and this masterpiece appears out of the blue from one of my favorite RUclipsrs ever. Welcome back, treatsforbeasts. The Internet has been waiting for you.

I'm kind of a pantheist now? lmao

I wouldn’t take everything treats for beasts has to say as a final answer, but it’s good to be calming you!
Couldn’t have said it better
I swear this guy's vids have an uplifting, anti-depressant quality to them.
I also started from “who wants to gnaw on human bones” and then “beasts”
But seriously how does this stuff give you less anxiety? It gives me more lmfao. Congrats on getting better though :DD
So.... did you go out and buy a fleshlight for this film or did ypu just used one that you already owned?

I know this is years late, sorry.
But it was a very cold night tonight. I sat on my bed, cuddled up in my warmest blanket, eating my own home-made soup while watching this. And it felt so nice. What a sweet, snuggly short. Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy. Everyone is a freak, and who cares, just own it. I won't bother going into details here, because whatever. Yaaay, yaaay, cartoons!
You're very welcome. There've been cold nights here too, and sometimes even I look back at these videos for some comfort.

I thought I was hallucinating for a moment when I saw a notif pop up about this in the corner of my screen.
It's been so long.
Wow. For a guy who ponders the philosophical implications of life, eloquently, endlessly, and with a clearly refined intellect, until you uncover the secrets of the universe and the meaning of life...

That scene at the end... looking at the ocean.... that was beautiful. I don't know why, but it was
After watching this for a second time I think I picked up on some symbolism.

We are the beasts and these are our treats
Wait Sam, does that mean....he nurses the young, so we have...more.......beasts?

@@Scatmanseth why's the video SaTanic?
Good point.

I really appreciate the “what happens after death” part. It really made me feel a lot less scared of death. Death is one of my biggest fears and it gives me so much anxiety to think about but the explanation he gave put me at ease. The idea presented at around 10:30 actually gave me an existential crisis at the age of 5. The idea of existing forever after death mortified me.
But sometimes the more you reach, and the more desperate you appear, then the more the perfect ones will ignore it... and it.... will kill you.."
Those words are spoken by a person with the lived experience of growing up a 'freak', as deemed by society, and these lines most eloquently describe the spiral that makes it impossible to escape the unending trial of that lived experience. my heart broke into a million pieces when I saw this part of the film, and I've genuinely never related to anything more in my life.
All jokes aside... This is a master piece
