I remember when some first told me about this group...I was like "that sounds fucking stupid"...I was wrong, they are one of my most favorite now. Mixing Bluegrass with Hip-Hop shouldn't work but I think that it does because they are polar opposites. It's like a whole new type of music, independent of it's roots.
I don’t think they’re that far apart. The sounds are a lot different, but the roots and the impetus of the music is the voice of the dispossessed. These folks blend the best of both genres, and I love it.
I have only just founed them and I am so glad I did. That's the beauty of music...every so often artists come along and reshape what many think couldn't, or shouldn't work and make it. This group is marvelous, this album is a masterpiece. I've still got a lot more to listen to as well

I can't say enough about them, and this song brought a tears to my eyes, because this is what we are all about, the human race, not what people claim the human race is or what people are taught. This is coming to me in a different time in our society than it was even in "14, this is good, thank you to this group, I wish I would have found you guys years ago!!

Possibly a hot take, but listening to this song again tonight, after the recent event on the docks in Montgomery, made it land a bit different. Seeing people who live in hate and who seek to sow division learning the meaning of the phrase "All for One" down by the river, was a beautiful thing indeed. I'd never advocate for initiating violence, but when confronted by it, a society that seeks to be free and equal must meet it in kind.
