The haplogroup J Lebanese people are not Canaanites! The most common Y-haplogroup of the Lebanese people is haplogroup J. If you compare the migrational patterns of haplogroup J with the migrational patterns of the Canaanites, it does not match. These wonderful videos prove that no man is an island. It's sad that most people of the Middle East don't know their exhaustive history. Whether they like it or not, they all have semitic ties to each other. Shem was not the firstborn son of Noah. Within the genealogies of Genesis 10:21 “Unto Shem also, the father of all the children of Eber, the brother of *Japheth the elder*, even to him were children born.” The Bible is full of instances of God’s blessing passing over the firstborn and landing on a younger son.
It would be only possible, if they found one of the patriarch's bodies. Like Abraham's, Isaac's, Jacob's, or maybe Joseph's mummified body in Egypt...but there isn't any...so, there's no such thing as DNA evidence.

Shem was not the first born of Noah. Japheth was. Shem was the second born son. Ham was the youngest. When Shem settled with his family, he called his settlement "Salem" which means "peace" and is the root of the word "Shalom". As his settlement grew in size to become a city, it became known as Jerusalem. We aren't told what kind of relationship Shem had with God, but it must have been pretty significant for God to treasure and honor Jerusalem to the point of making a new Jerusalem after this age and world has ended. I spent years working to unravel the origins of colors and races, and what I came up with is this: Adam and Eve were earthen color, with straight black hair and brown eyes. That was the standard coloring of their children. The first person to deviate from that was Cain. Because he murdered his brother Abel, and showed no remorse for what he'd done, God marked him as a warning to others that he was a violent and dangerous man. Moses wrote the Book of Genesis, and apparently God didn't tell him what the mark was, but after a considerable amount of effort to unravel the mystery, I believe God marked him thus: Love is light, and darkness is the absence of light, so God changed his skin from earth to obsidian black. He changed his eye color from brown to black as well for the same reason; there was a complete absence of love in Cain for not only his brother, but anybody else. Cain was a narcissist and loved himself more than anyone. He was the first and only one that looked like that in the pre-flood world. To everyone else he was just as marked as Cain had been, and Noah grew up with the stigma of being 'different' than others. Noah's wife was Naamah, the sister of Tubal Cain. I worked out that her coloring would have been very dark brown (not quite black), copper-bronze wavy hair, and brown eyes. She was also a very good woman, very creative, talented and artistic. From those two were born their 3 sons, Japheth, Shem and Ham. My best guess on their coloring was: Japheth - very dark brown skin like his mother, black wavy hair, and the blue eyes of his father. Shem - probably the closest to what was normal in the pre-flood world; olive-brown skin, but with wavy dark brown hair and brown eyes. Ham - he clearly had the mark of Cain which he inherited from his mother. He had either terra cotta, or reddish brown skin, curly red hair, and black eyes. Because Naamah knew his marking was from her, she felt great guilt over it, and went out of her way to try and protect him from the stigma that she endured as she grew up. Unfortunately, that nurtured the same sense of narcissistic entitlement in Ham, that had been in Cain. However as Ham grew up, he became aware what his curly red hair meant. He was always self-conscious about it, and would cover his head completely with cloth as a head scarf. When he broke away from his family and went to Northeast Africa, claiming that area as his (calling it the Land of Ham), he continued the practice of covering his head and adopted the full head cover headdress that the Egyptians became known for. While this video was weighted heavily on the side of the Hamite genetic groups, there's more to the story of those who were not predominantly mixed with Ham's descendants. Noah and his wife had other children after the flood, including daughters, but they weren't mentioned in the Bible because they weren't essential to the lineage trace. The Bible traces the lineage from Adam to Christ to show the authenticity of the connection, not to necessarily provide a complete and thorough record. There are gaps and incomplete listings because those people were not considered necessary to the lineage trace. Women are rarely named, but if they are, they are significant in some way which isn't always immediately obvious. It may take some work to figure out. That's the important thing to realize about genealogy in the Bible; it's strictly to show the legitimacy of inheritance rights, not to be a complete, chronologically thorough record. There may be people who were skipped in the record who weren't considered important.

I’m a Lebanese Phoenician. We descend from Ham and his offspring Canaan the cursed but it’s also most likely some of us have Shemite lineage since Lebanon and Israel are neighbours geographically. I agree that Japeth was the elder son as per Genesis 10:21, but I’m not sure if Shem was the youngest or if he was actually the middle child because Ham is referred to as Noah’s “younger” son in Genesis 9:24.

Point #1: In Genesis 5:32, we read that when Noah was *500* years old, he begat Shem, Ham, and Japheth; and in Genesis 7:6, we are told that the flood came when Noah was precisely *600* years old. Yet, in Genesis 11:10, we are told that *two* years after the flood, Noah’s son Shem turned *100* years old. When comparing these numbers, we easily calculate that Shem was born when Noah was 502, and not 503. Point #2: When reviewing Genesis 9:23-24, the former verse refers to the actions of Shem and Japeth, while the latter verse refers to the actions of Noah’s “younger son” which would infer that Ham was younger than both the other two. Hence, it can appear that Shem was the middle child. Hope that clarifies. No hard feelings if we can’t see eye to eye on this ultimately insignificant issue. Peace.
@@FLDavis The idea that Canaan may have been born during the flood is an interesting concept; yet, a comparison of verse 22 to 24 still implies that Ham was the one who committed the sin against his father. But then again, I acknowledge that implication does not necessarily equal evidence. And anyway, with or without this story, I still see no other evidence either way to show whether Shem or Ham was actually the youngest. So for the moment anyway, I would ultimately still support that Shem was more likely the second child because, after reviewing the evidence that Japeth was born when Noah was 500 and that Shem was born when Noah was 502, squeezing Ham’s birth in between those two years just feels a little tight. Why do I think that the role of the Arabs was belittled and ignored in this video? The haplogroup J Lebanese people are not Canaanites! The most common Y-haplogroup of the Lebanese people is haplogroup J. If you compare the migrational patterns of haplogroup J with the migrational patterns of the Canaanites, it does not match. For instance, the Israelites *came* into the promised land and wiped out the Canaanites (not all of them, but a large portion or most)! This is the reason why haplogroup J is one of the most common haplogroups in the state of Israel today, a matter of fact, if I'm not mistaken, haplogroup J is the most common paternal haplogroup amongst ashkenazi jews. Another example, many historians have mentioned how the canaanites migrated into africa and established empires such as Carthage, and even migrated into spain and dominated the lands there. Haplogroup J people were not even known to establish ancient chinese dynasties in that time, for it was haplogroups O, D, and C that were the major haplogroups of ancient china! These wonderful videos prove that no man is an island. It's sad that most people of the Middle East don't know their exhaustive history. Shem was not the first born of Noah. Japheth was. Shem was the second born son. Ham was the youngest. When Shem settled with his family, he called his settlement "Salem" which means "peace" and is the root of the word "Shalom". He was the first and only one that looked like that in the pre-flood world. To everyone else he was just as marked as Cain had been, and Noah grew up with the stigma of being 'different' than others. Noah's wife was Naamah, the sister of Tubal Cain. I worked out that her coloring would have been very dark brown (not quite black), copper-bronze wavy hair, and brown eyes. She was also a very good woman, very creative, talented and artistic.
From those two were born their 3 sons, Japheth, Shem and Ham. My best guess on their coloring was: Japheth - very dark brown skin like his mother, black wavy hair, and the blue eyes of his father. Shem - probably the closest to what was normal in the pre-flood world; olive-brown skin, but with wavy dark brown hair and brown eyes. Ham - he clearly had the mark of Cain which he inherited from his mother. He had either terra cotta, or reddish brown skin, curly red hair, and black eyes. Because Naamah knew his marking was from her, she felt great guilt over it, and went out of her way to try and protect him from the stigma that she endured as she grew up. Unfortunately, that nurtured the same sense of narcissistic entitlement in Ham, that had been in Cain. However as Ham grew up, he became aware what his curly red hair meant. He was always self-conscious about it, and would cover his head completely with cloth as a head scarf. When he broke away from his family and went to Northeast Africa, claiming that area as his (calling it the Land of Ham), he continued the practice of covering his head and adopted the full head cover headdress that the Egyptians became known for. He even shaved his head, which also became a practice among the men of Egypt, even if they didn't have red hair.
When the 3 sons of Noah took wives for themselves while they were building the ark, Japheth took a wife who looked a lot like Eve. She had her features, with straight black hair and brown eyes. Shem who had taken over the duties of the family farm while the ark was under construction, took a farm girl who also had the standard coloring, hair and eyes like Eve. Ham however, took a black woman, a descendant of Cain; a daughter of the line of Kush.
If you start with those 8, you can work out the origin of the color combinations of skin, hair and eyes of the 5 races we have today. You can also trace the genetic inheritance of attitudes, characteristics and attributes that way as well. While this video was weighted heavily on the side of the Hamite genetic groups, there's more to the story of those who were not predominantly mixed with Ham's descendants. Noah and his wife had other children after the flood, including daughters, but they weren't mentioned in the Bible because they weren't essential to the lineage trace. The Bible traces the lineage from Adam to Christ to show the authenticity of the connection, not to necessarily provide a complete and thorough record. There are gaps and incomplete listings because those people were not considered necessary to the lineage trace. Women are rarely named, but if they are, they are significant in some way which isn't always immediately obvious. It may take some work to figure out. That's the important thing to realize about genealogy in the Bible; it's strictly to show the legitimacy of inheritance rights, not to be a complete, chronologically thorough record. There may be people who were skipped in the record who weren't considered important.

I’m a Lebanese Phoenician. We descend from Ham and his offspring Canaan the cursed but it’s also most likely some of us have Shemite lineage since Lebanon and Israel are neighbours geographically. Point #1: In Genesis 5:32, we read that when Noah was *500* years old, he begat Shem, Ham, and Japheth; and in Genesis 7:6, we are told that the flood came when Noah was precisely *600* years old. Yet, in Genesis 11:10, we are told that *two* years after the flood, Noah’s son Shem turned *100* years old. When comparing these numbers, we easily calculate that Shem was born when Noah was 502, and not 503.
Point #2: When reviewing Genesis 9:23-24, the former verse refers to the actions of Shem and Japeth, while the latter verse refers to the actions of Noah’s “younger son” which would infer that Ham was younger than both the other two. Hence, it can appear that Shem was the middle child.
Hope that clarifies. No hard feelings if we can’t see eye to eye on this ultimately insignificant issue. Peace.
@@FLDavis The idea that Canaan may have been born during the flood is an interesting concept; yet, a comparison of verse 22 to 24 still implies that Ham was the one who committed the sin against his father. But then again, I acknowledge that implication does not necessarily equal evidence. And anyway, with or without this story, I still see no other evidence either way to show whether Shem or Ham was actually the youngest. So for the moment anyway, I would ultimately still support that Shem was more likely the second child because, after reviewing the evidence that Japeth was born when Noah was 500 and that Shem was born when Noah was 502, squeezing Ham’s birth in between those two years just feels a little tight.
We’ll find for certain either way when we reach Heaven and ask Jesus directly. And if I’m wrong, I promise to be humble about it, and I trust you’ll be the same. Peace.
