With Cecily Strong gone, the show is probably going to go back to how it was in the first three episodes of the season: where the four new feature players and a lot of the underused cast members who are still here will get the spotlight more.

It’s been a while since they’ve had a really good physical comedian. Those guys always take it above and beyond and Marcello seems like the perfect one for SNL

I saw Marcello at a comedy club literally 2 weeks before snl premiered and I had NO IDEA he had been casted on snl! He was hysterical and I’m so glad I’m able to watch him more

It's that quick "good job" at 3:16 that Colin Jost quietly told him under his breath because this is his first outing as an SNL cast member and the audience seemed to love him, and the look of pride on his face in return that really get me.
To be fair, Colin says that every time someone is up there - unless it’s a veteran who totally killed it like Kate McKinnon. Then, he’s just laughing. But this guy was awesome!! Hilarious & animated! Loved it!

Great point! Tired of watching most of the cast/hosts read from the cue cards. He did his job - memorized the material and rehearsed. Definitely the next big SNL star!

This Kid is a real FIND for SNL!! Exactly what they needed, yeah! He's hilarious with his double entendre's; from English to Spanish, from white-guy voice to Latino voice quite apparently at the drop of a hat!!! EXCELLENT timing! More Marcello please!!!!

I can’t wait to watch Marcelo more!! That’s exactly how every Hispanic tells a story. They get up, they do accents, impressions, the whole nine yards. In fact, if they stay seated while telling a story, it just wasn’t a good story. Give this guy more scenes!!

His physical acting and comedic talents all seem super top notch! The content may have been a little overplayed but was definitely relevant and had a funny personal spin to it. Definitely a great first showing! Congrats!

I saw Marcello do standup at Caroline’s a couple weeks before he was announced as a cast member and he was the highlight of the night. Absolutely crushed it and I think the whole crowd agreed. So cool to see him earn this opportunity. Well deserved. 🇨🇺 🇩🇴

Felicidades Marcelo! La comunidad Dominicana esta tan orgullosa de ti! It's about time SNL had Dominican representation! Marcelo killed it and he was the best part of the episode!
Cuban and Dominican. SNL has had Latino cast members, but Horatio Sanz and Fred Armisen were from South American countries (Chile for Horatio and Venezuela for Fred) and the two Latina cast members they had were Mexican (Noel Wells and the criminally underused Melissa Villasenor).
And fun fact: Mercedes Ruehl (who is Cuban) auditioned to be a cast member on SNL during its terrible sixth season (1980-1981), but fortunately didn't make it, so SNL almost had a Cuban cast member before Marcello.

He almost reminds me of Fred armisen’s talent, Aidy Bryant’s realism, and kenan’s showmanship all balled up into one new guy. He has his own originality too. Loved this.
It’s amazing to see even more diversity on SNL! I’m Mexican but seeing a Cuban/Dominican on here feels so refreshing.
SNL had two Mexican cast members: Noel Wells (she's Mexican, Tunisian, and I'm guessing white European) and the criminally underused Melissa Villasenor. But, yeah, I get what you're saying.
That was a quality standup set. He clearly put in work refining the act. I look forward to seeing what else he can do.

I think I'm at the beginning now after pretty much watching all of marcello's appearances on SNL and my god this guy's going to go far. He's such a natural and has got it all: physical comedy, improvisational chops, perfect timing and oodles of charm to boot. Oh and he's Latino so what's not to love... Glad we're seeing more of him!

I have seen so many great cast members depart from the show, quite honestly I loved Pete Davison role playing Chad, I thought it was hard to find someone like him, but I was dead wrong. This kid is phenomenal, I have played this video several times and keep laughing everytime Collin has to hold his laugh. Marcello naciste siendo una estrella, brillante actuación.
