One thing that people with less experience of cold weather don't initially understand is that in cold you must avoid getting hot and sweaty. They make the mistake of wearing too much indoor or in a bus and get sweaty without much noticing it.
When they then get out the sweat on their skin and in the layers of clothing will cool then down and make the insulation not work so well. Better maintain cool temperature all the time than going from sweating to cold since our bodies can handle most situations and provide enough heat, but it you're wet it becomes very difficult.

With babes and toddlers that challenge is even more difficult for parents to estimate. Toddlers can be very active and become hot, if parents don't in time notice that they need some additional ventilation to the winter clothing by taking off a hood of or opening zippers.
Babies in strollers can also become hot, if they are in a car, bus, shop..
That is one thing that should be taken seriously and be noticed by parents esp kids and babies really dont know how to express what they feel.

One thing that new immigrants can find difficult to believe and be even more worried about : Babies tend to sleep better outside throughout the year in the Finnish climate and environment.
Some immigrants come from countries where they have learned to have deep worries about babies getting kidnapped etc.. This with the fear of outdoors in general and cold weather makes them surprised to learn that babies napping outside is a common and recommended practice in Finland.
Do you have own experiences or views about this?
@@just42tube my experience was different since I know that it's safe to leave babies outside without fearing of kidnapping and the like. In the middle of winter when it was really cold, my baby had a clogged nose and I didn't bring her out fearing that it would worsen. I was advised later in the neuvola that bringing the baby outside will actually help the baby breathe better. 😊

May Catholic church dito sa Helsinki at Turku. May mga Anglican, Evangelical, Pentecostal church dito sa Helsinki pero karamihan ng mga church dito sa Finland ay Lutheran. 😊
