  • I took the Nothing Phone 1 for a day going under, through, and even above Grand Central Terminal in NYC to test the camera, battery, and determine if the Glyph lights are just a gimmick. Come see how it did (& learn about a big mistake made while building the largest train station in the world 😳)

I've been a subscriber for a bit now and this new format is fire. NYC is one my of my favorite cities in the world so to see it in your videos and have the video have kind of a local vibe throughout is awesome. I would love to eventually see maybe one in other cities like Tokyo or something but there's a ton to see in New York City so no complaints. Yeah, I know it's a tech review video, and great video there too showing up the abilities of the phone... but on the Nothing Phone itself? ... uhhm. No.

Using the Nothing Phone 1 in the US also, I use the glyph interface daily. I am hoping they bring an update to allow you to select which specific apps use glyph versus just all notifications. I find myself picking up the phone way more because of this which isn't great (when I remember to put it screen down also). Battery for me has been better by 1-2 hrs in comparison to the 6a. Also performance wise, consistent 5G connectivity, etc. all significantly better than the 6a in my use.

Perfect! You end at the point where you can maybe start another one, OneDay - in an INACTIVE Rail Station (cos Railroads and mobiles are my thing 😉). Meanwhile, I wanted a Nothing One (badly) but only from soaking up the hype. Really wanted You & Michael to do your stuff first. You proved here that the audio+visual recording is not high enough quality for SocialMedia, but at £400, what do we expect? Size was something I hadn't considered. However, your RWT story is (as always) superb! Perfectly framing up the performance - running out is never good, and even your other result, 10%, is not inspiring! BIG Thank You for this one - more please!! 😊

I own the nothing phone 1 here in the us. I really like the LED lights. I don't always use them but there is times where I will place my phone face down and want it to be silenced . Also it's not only about the lights , the at a glance widget is sweet with the text font and being able to move it around unlike on my pixel 6 where it's stuck in place . You can remove the Google search bar from the home screen as well . If I could say one thing is I wish it had a better camera . So far I'm getting good signal with AT&T . I get 5G and 4G . I love the camera app layout with having red and white colored font , the recorder app is also themed this way . Ringtones are very unique as well . I mostly have my phone with sound on , I don't use silent or vibrate only modes unless really needed . My co workers always trip out when hearing my ringtones or notifications lol 😂 I embrace them because they are different and match the nothing phone 1 vibe . I don't play games on this phone but I tried call of duty , it ran good enough ! This phone feels nice in the hand , has a good camera , has a alien / starwars / blade runner vibe to it and I love it . I think if your really into having the best specs on a device look elsewhere . For the price you get what you pay for , but I think you get more because of the nothing os unique touch and the benefit of the LED lights . I'm sure nothing will implement more features to make them more useful like always being able to see them go off even when using the phone . Maybe even have them lower in brightness depending on how bright it is outside or even have a option to turn them on with a dedicated button like the flashlight has . Sorry I know I can text a lot here but I really am liking this phone . Some People hate on it too, like damn why would you waste money on a phone with lights , but it's all about what excites you . Anyways have a Hood day (no typo) and thanks for reading all this ha ha to each their own .

I decided to spend some extra and get a 12gb 256gb white Nothing phone, I am hoping it arrives soon! I'm more happy to support a new brand, and am hoping they can aim for an "apple" style ecosystem, which I think Is what they're aiming for. I really enjoyed the video! I love Grand Central Station Maybe not many people remember this but the S10+ had a case that basically did the same thing. You had to buy it separately but it was cute.....you had a phone show up if a call came in, smiley faces for messages......I used it for 10 minutes and to this day I have no clue where I put it lol I sold the phone btw

Besides the lower price and the lights on the back, did not excite me all that much to want to travel across the waters and try to get my hands on it. 😀 Thanks for the review and like your real life discussion at the end…lol

The colors are ok, a little over sharpened and the stabilization is not that good. The front camera and mic sucks.

If you want 4k front camera and IP rating go for Samsung A53 5G then if you like Wireless Charging, build quality, and Glyph interface go for Phone 1

Pretty standard mid-range Android phone with appropriated Apple iPhone styling gussied up with some gimmicky bright flashing LEDs in the back. Easy pass. I enjoyed your NYC history lesson and would love for you do do a whole series just on that.
