Russia blames US for “terrorist” attack in Sevastopol, says UN has “double standards”

- Speaking at the United Nations on Monday, Russia’s U.N. ambassador Vassily Nebenzia accused the U.S. of being directly involved in the fatal “terrorist” attack in Crimea’s Sevastopol on Sunday, when at least four people died and more than 150 others where injured.
Nebenzia alleged that Ukraine had launched U.S.-supplied Army Tactical Missile System (ATACMS) missiles after being “permitted” by the West to “attack targets inside the Russian territory.”
The Russian ambassador further condemned a lack of response from the U.N. Secretariat, who is “very eloquent on other occasions”. He called the reaction an example of “double standards” in favour of the West.
“All responsible for this and other terrorist attacks will be held accountable,” Nebenzia said in his statement, adding that “there will be measures in response” until “no threat is posed by the neo-Nazi regime in Kyiv.”

Russia used cluster munitions on Odesa almost 2 months ago against civilians, what happened in Ukraine's occupied Crimea is the result of allowing civilians to be on a beach that sits between Black Sea Fleet headquarters and ports and Russian airbase Belbek airbase. Also why would you take your family to occupied Crimea where Ukraine has been hitting and destroying ports,airbases,air defense battery, radar stations for last 2 months? There's a war going on people and looking at the footage most of the cluster munitions landed in the water and maybe 10 hit the beach after missile was hit by russian air defense.
I get the feeling that people in the world don't understand just how close we are to a war that would quite literally be the end of humanity as we know it. It's time to stop shifting blame, and start doing something to stop this.

in fact Article 58 of the Extended Protocol of the Geneva Convention specifically prohibits a government to allow civilians anywhere near a legitimate target. The airfield at Belbek just 2km away was the target here, it's been hit so many times even the Russian air force are bleating that the UAF are using it and all of Crimea as a punching bag.
So Russia is guilty of yet another war crime.

Seems like if they were so concerned about civilian safety, they would have closed the beach that's right beside one of the biggest military targets in all of Crimea, right? Especially after AFU warned russians not to holiday in Crimea?
But what do they do instead? Promote Crimea as a tourist destination and try to get as many people as possible there. Seems to me that they were perfectly happy to sacrifice civilian lives - in fact, the more the better from a propaganda standpoint - just to have a stick to hit the US with.

Trying to bomb a military base at this point is inconsequential. All countries involved know this so the deaths shouldn't have happened. So what happens if Russia supplies some advanced attack missiles to the Houthis and they use those missiles to attack US destroyers or US aircraft carriers in the Gulf of Aiden and end up sinking one of the aircraft carriers or destroyers, would Russia be responsible even though they're only supplying the weapons!
The US supplies the ATACM's and programs their strike coordinates but claim they only provide the weapons and what Ukraine does with them is not their concern.
The U.S needs to stop escalating this war, the whole world can see that they're deliberately doing this, the world doesn't need this escalating into a world war, things are bad enough as it is globally!
