- Russia has blamed the United States for a “barbaric” attack in Crimea that relied on US-provided missiles and killed at least four, including children, and wounded 151 others.
Russia’s Foreign Ministry summoned US Ambassador Lynne Tracy on Monday and accused the US of waging a “proxy war” and said retaliatory measures would “definitely follow”.
Moscow says the attack was carried out with US weapons, while Washington says Ukraine has the right to defend its sovereignty.
Al Jazeera’s Imran Ullah Khan reports.

A military installation 5km away was hit. One of the Ukrainian missiles was intercepted by russian air defense. Civilians on vocation in military conflict zone when you are the aggressor, that what I call human shield.

I worked with a lot of Russians and Ukrainians that were on work and travel visas back in 2013-2016, they were all awesome hilarious kind people it’s sad seeing their countries at war because of their leaders .

There are plenty of video clips showing almost all of the remains of ONE intercepted missile falling into the sea after being shot down by Russia. The beach was not the target. Other missiles were involved in the same attack. All of them were directed at legitimate targets, not the beach. Ukraine has already issued a warning to all Russian civilians not to come to Crimea. They do not want civilian collateral casualties, unlike Russia, who bomb and destroy indiscriminately. Honestly, I don't even know why I am wasting my time correcting you.
It was a deliberate targeting of civilian infrastructure. Cluster warheads are rather useless against military goals. At the moment when ATACMS were launched at Sevastopol a US RQ-4 Global Hawk long-range surveillance drone was detected over the Black Sea.This drone was practically used to direct the missiles that were going to Crimea.
