- Hyundai's first truck, the Santa Cruz, is only three years old, but it's receiving some TLC for the 2025 model year. On the table: updated styling, a much improved interior design, and a more serious XRT off-road trim. Off the table: a hybrid. #Autotrader

This convinces me to wait till the 2025 model release given the more aggressive front look and the dash and infotainment refinements. Not caring about a hybrid option. Leave that to Maverick lovers.
Ford Maverick has had nothing but problems with the hybrid. 2025 Santa Cruz looks like a winner.
Could care less about hybrid models. Really like the new red color. Good video. We plan on test driving one soon
Nice fuzzy video quality Autotrader.
It's a small "truck(ish)" who cares about hybrid, I want to tow 5k on that little beast and flex on mid size trucks
Get rid of the dual clutch, raise the clearance 1.5 inches, extend the bed 6 inches, and top the price at 39-40k.
NICE! Really couldn't give less of a shhh about a hybrid option!
I wonder if they'll offer adaptive cruise control on the lower trim models.
I wonder if you have older santa cruz can you swap out rear seat to new seat for the center console? lol
(Squints at interior) Still don’t see a trailer brake controller, and if it hauls up to 5K lbs like the previous year, I’d really like to see one on it and not spend that kind of money and go aftermarket. Maverick has one, it’s been brought up in previous model reviews so Hyundai should have been thinking about it in a refresh, so I hope I just missed it somewhere in the video.
Otherwise, nice looking refresh and yeah, a hybrid from its sister platforms you’d think would be a no brainer, especially if it were hybrid awd which would give it a leg up on the competition (minus the new Tacoma).
I never see these on the road…do they even sell these?
They don't sell very well due to the turbo engines and sucky transmissions.
I've seen quite a few but I own one so I definitely notice them more easily
Have had mine for 2 years, I've maybe seen only 5 in that time
They fix the damn transmission issues?
I have the 2024 Santa Cruz SEL with the 2.5 and 8 speed torque converter trans. Love driving this little truck. Agreed, I would never own the duel clutch trans. At 600 miles I did a cat back exhaust with duel tail pipes and a turbo mufflerinstalled. I can hear it running now, and the wife likes the way it sounds and we are both in our late 60's. She drives it everyday for work and I drive my 5.0 F 150.
Why a hybrid and have the headaches of both worlds
I wish one of the changes where the Hyundai put a 5 foot bed in. The bed is to small
Just that 1 extra ft would change everything!
@@quantumfx2677 no but a start
He said truck drivers 😂
Don’t care about a hybrid. I wish they would do away with the backseat and add space for the bed. Ditch the dual clutch too
Desperately needs a hybrid powertrain
I don’t care hybrid option
Screw hybrids - just more things to go wrong
Back this up. Where's the data?
No hybrid, no deal.
Exactly, why buy this when you can get the Maverick hybrid. Only benefit is towing when you aren't getting the Maverick hybrid anyway.
DCT...I am out
These are the ugliest things on the road. And completely pointless as a "truck." No wonder theses are just flying off of the showroom floor.
My god H and K finally adopt wireless CarPlay and AAuto!
