Hi, high praise indeed, Appreciated!!. Never played pooyan id heard of it back in the speccy, c64 days it just didn't pique my interest. Although I did have a quick go on it yesterday...I was shocking 😊. That Paolo dude is mustard on it 1.7 mill, even with loads of practice I just can't see myself ever getting anywhere near that.
@@mp-ng8dq I spent way too many coins on the original arcade Pooyan back in the days. Could never reach a million though. I tried again on MAME but I don't have the patience for it now. I played Mr Do too and many of the golden age games, but Pooyan, Xevious and Bubble Bobble were my favs. At one point Twin Galaxies had record games available for download but all of those are lost in history now. It used to be fun to play those games back in MAME. I appreciate the number of hours that people put into gaming to become masters of their games.
Same as you, I can't imagine the hours and coin I spent playing Do!. The eighties was the golden age of arcades for me personally always a great atmosphere and so many classic games, didn't matter what I dropped a coin in it was always a buzz playing it, whether I was any good at it or not, that's what its all about really. I remember standing watching someone clocking defender in total awe...because as you said you know the dedication it takes to get that good. Btw I've played xevious n bb many times. Great games.
@@mp-ng8dq The first time I saw someone clock Xevious it blew my mind. This guy came from out of town and knew all the secrets. I watched for an hour at the shop where he was playing, then went away for two hours or so. When I got back there was a large crowd of people there watching him play. I think he lasted like 5 hours on one coin. Never seen anyone do that before or after in real life. God bless youtube.
Why do the red dragons stop right when they are about to touch you? I saw this several times, for example at around the :30 mark. In fact he does it several times in a row as he's chasing you in that instance. Is this a bug?
You can't - but in later levels with many diggers you can be above an apple and have them dig up towards you and kill themselves. I think you have to keep "tunneling" to stop them taking indirect paths towards you, so it looks like he is pushing the apples down down. Maybe he is throwing the ball, I'm not clear.
Hi, no it's not a bug, it's a trick...the monster turns into a digger because it thinks your on the opposite side, because do is positioned 50/50. I hope that makes sense. You can push or drop any of the apples 👍
Resurrection on scene 4 - nice.
Best Mr Do player ever! Would like to see you take on Pooyan! Never seen a 2 million game there.

I saw this in a Mr. Do castle video too. The Blue Dragons get right next to Mr. Do and then hesitate.
Also, I didn't know you could push apples down from the top!

To use it, the "reply" button must do the responding. Remember this?
Hi...I didn't even notice...cheers for pointing that out. ;)
So it loops after 999,999 and can't display 7 digits ?
Yep that's correct. 👍
