I saw this happen in real life when I was in high-school about 11 years ago when texting and driving dangers weren't as well known or regulated. The semi truck stopped at a red light and the person in the car was texting and driving going probably 30mph and didn't stop in time. It was fatal, obviously, and scarred me for life. I refused to drive for about 5 years after I witnessed that, and still after I have the utmost respect when I'm behind the wheel because of how dangerous it is to operate a vehicle.
Had a similar crash one month ago. A massive tree fell right before my windscreen whilst doing 35. It bounced back up and struck the windscreen head on, rolling over the roof. I can hardly believe I survived that one.
Are you sure? I would think that if you are close enough to the truck to crash into it in the first place this might actually happen more often when the struck slows down and is still rolling when the passenger vehicle crashes into it. So 35 mph sounds reasonable to me. If they crash into a standing truck the speeds would most likely not only be way above 35 mph but in ranges that mean guaranteed death, like 65 - 70 mph and above and what would be the point in testing those? XD

Alex Vickers it doesn't matter whos fault it is you dumb fuck. The point here is that the tractor trailers are NOT built properly or even near the standards to SAVE LIVES!!!!!
I saw that on another video collection it was such a small car but the car behind it didn't slow down and squashed the car under the truck. The car was squashed up and stuck under the bottom of the truck. I would not have liked to be the EMTs that had to deal with that. I don't know if they could do anything to the other driver, but I doubt it. The driver does have to live with what he did and I hope it stays with him for the rest of his life.
The crash test is testing the safely of the trailers, not the car. Almost all other cars would react the same way. You might get better results with a higher car like a SUV or even a lifted truck or off-roading car.

والله اني خفت😪
الله يحمينا يارب
امين
اللهم امين
I can only imagine the real life mess first responders have to deal with on a fail day
That why people prefer high front bumper car
EXACTLY !
Basicly you are %99 dead if you ram a truck trailer from back
Yep
Right
Haha, don’t hit it from the back and you may live 😉😂
Life can be extinguished in an instant. Scary
4:56 Damn, that's quite an ending
So this mostly happens at speeds above 35 mph so we're gonna test at 35 mph
55 the car would have been ao far under the trailer, it would be inches away from the tractor tail lights
XD
Lol u r such an ass hole
id figure if youre going 60 youd hit the brakes and slow down to at least 35 by the time you hit it
Its a 35 mph difference in speed test
Good videos that I’m showing my teenage son as I teach him to drive.
This was hard to watch even with just crash dummies....
Damn.. just RIP to all them perfectly good cars
none of them were perfectly good, they were all chevy malibus
@@facepalm7345 That version of the Malibu was actually quite decent, but I think they were all the base LS models so not the biggest loss in the world.
those chevy malibus probably had engine problems and transmission problems.
@Ike N if this research even saves one life it's not a waste. You can work and buy back these cars. You can't earn enough money in this world to buy back your life.
No perfectly good cars were destroyed in the making of this video.
Can we just appreciate how well Manac did?
Omg 😦 at 5:03 it completely obliterated the car! Literally tore the car open like a bag of chips!
5:11 omg his face😱
اكيد انك عتيبي
فيصل 507 ههههههههههههههههههههههههههههههههههههههههههههههههههههه شدخل
Time for his funeral Rest In Peace brother
No airbag
Dont drive under a trailer, got it. I learned that on my own.
I've never been so happy to see Chevy Malibu's getting destroyed :)
Last year there was this exact situation with a family I was close to. (If you wanna see the damage look up “Van Horn crash”) A mom was carpooling her kids along with another family’s children when she slammed into the back of a truck. I guess these guard rails didn’t exist and this is the aftermath. It was also found out later that the mom was distracted while driving. 2 lessons learned from that horrible event.
1:15 that fitment tho👌
Whew that 2015 Chevrolet Malibu 😭 remember to never get a Chevrolet
Why the selected car is a Chevrolet Malibu?
because if it was a ford there would be nothing left to see
Well if they used a Volvo there would be nothing left of the truck! :D
scottthewaterwarrior really lol....
scottthewaterwarrior really lol....
scottthewaterwarrior yeah right
Thank you very much for this perfect video ♡
Ok I’m officially scared to drive now....thanks
Heinrick: Dont be scared to drive. Pay attention to it 100% of the time and dont "get stupid" . wrecks happen when people "get stupid" and it may be the other guy that gets stupid so have an escape route mapped for when he does.
Make it a habit and in a few years youll find yourself doing it without thinking about it.
Expect the unexpected
I crashed into a trailer that came flying over the center divider. the video made me re live my experience. what saved me is I ducked. check out commerce crash. I'm in the red Chevy blazer. my thoughts & prayers go out to the 3 innocent lives lost & their loved ones. the one who caused it was going 127mph & is facing 3 maybe 4 counts of murder. please drive safe ! javier
I ran into the back of a semi backing up across 3 lanes of traffic on the other side of a hill. I laid my seat back and ducked too. Only ended up with a broken leg and ankle from standing on the brake. Drive safe out there everyone!
I wonder how many trailers were used.
I got so into this for some reason, that I found myself cheering at the crashes where the trailer successfully protected the cabin
It's really scary to see how a car can break into pieces in a matter of seconds
Try .2 seconds.. happens fast. Airbags are insane inventions that work very well. Unless you drive under a simi
The creepy music in the beginning makes it even better. Thank you!
4:53 how to get a convertible in your car... 😂😂😂
Was new truck used everytime?
Impresionante y genial trabajo GRACIAS
OMG How many Malibus? At least 20 of them? Who the hell funds these tests?
Action Potential i was searching for this comment
20 Malibus...that's what, $3.50?
Probably Chevy
Most likely your insurance premiums. I think most of those tests are done by the insurance institute of highway safety
@durp 16 - Before the IIHS did this testing truck bumpers were trash. The trailer builders just stuck on something cheap that looks good. The horizontal bars are too high.
STOP TEXTING AND DRIVING!
The most effect and beautiful video
that's why you need to pay attention when driving it's not the truck fault when you run into the back of it
Alex Vickers it doesn't matter whos fault it is you dumb fuck. The point here is that the tractor trailers are NOT built properly or even near the standards to SAVE LIVES!!!!!
Alex Vickers and it's not always your fault,if you are slowing down and someone else hits you into the back of the trailer.
Alex Vickers again not paying attention you see someone barreling down on you turn hard and gun it. But you drive to die I'll drive to stay alive
Last mesg was for sledsrme
I saw that on another video collection it was such a small car but the car behind it didn't slow down and squashed the car under the truck. The car was squashed up and stuck under the bottom of the truck. I would not have liked to be the EMTs that had to deal with that. I don't know if they could do anything to the other driver, but I doubt it. The driver does have to live with what he did and I hope it stays with him for the rest of his life.
I guess the 2400 dislikes are from 2010 Chevy Malibu owners.
Lol, they are death traps😂 Look at the way the roof peels back
These videos are awesome..👍
People:*goes for a ride with their car*
Trailer:im boutta end this mans whole carrier
I drive a Malibu. this worries me
Buy a Big Rig instead
the Malibu actually is a safe car the trailers not being made right is the problem not the car
Oscar Contreras Pay attention then.
The crash test is testing the safely of the trailers, not the car. Almost all other cars would react the same way. You might get better results with a higher car like a SUV or even a lifted truck or off-roading car.
What worries me is I share a road with someone who has poor decision making capabilities; people who think a malibu is a good car.
airbag: worry not for am gonn sav-
roof: nope
I hit rear end of a big rig in a white out condition in MT in Feb. miner injuries. Thank you Jesus.
Holy crap! Most likely more thank you for hitting it in the centre.
