Here is a serious request... I triple dear you to go to these locations... 1.) Meriden CT - It was once known as "The Silver City", but is now home to a lot of abandoned buildings, including a hospital, factories, extremely old grave yards, and a giant park, known as Hubbard Park with a castle at the top, which is allegedly haunted by a girl and a dog. So much history here... the old grave yard on Broad St is so interesting, and appears to be abandoned by the shape its in. 2.) Waterbury CT - Right next to Meriden, a pretty big city with lots of abandoned buildings and houses.... LOTS... including factories... and one unique abandoned location known as Holy Land... explore if you dare.
+Mvteo Holy Land would be such an awesome place for Dan Bell to record in 4k with commentary... I never seen that Sanatorium before but hell ya... there is a lot of crazy places in CT. Too bad Undercliff in Meriden was torn down, that place was creepy as hell.
I thought they were great! You guys are hysterical when you do these. Keep up the great work I look forward to seeing the next one. As for the Jersey devil wow that would be cool since I live here in dirty Jersey.
NewsFlash at 0300 am: ***TNT Excursion Turns Into TMI Moment*** Mothman Not Seen Random Meth Heads Encountered Instead Fear, Loathing and Hilarity Ensues Awesome Vid, loved it! :D
i realy like the cutting room ..you have a lovely voice and make these docu like vids intresting along with the visual stuff...by the way we had an outside outhouse with a big comfortable wooden seat....lovely in the summer...you could open the door onto a lovely veiw...in the dark on a cold winters night...forget it...creepy to say the least...thanks for the upload.
I second doing locations in Connecticut. There is plenty of old abandoned places in CT, some really old places with some really strange haunting's and legends. Love your videos man!
i wanna do what u do Dan but theres not no places like the ones u go to in my town, i live in Lafayette Indiana...its a big town tho here, i have seen some places that looked abandoned. guess i would have to look to see whats out here? any tips?
I'd suggest going back to Rehmeyer's Hollow in PA during the night, and try to find a trail in the forest. Take my word for it, it is absolutely TERRIFYING.
This is late but, I think maybe a new series about exploring interesting areas where Urban Legends took place would be very interesting. That or maybe a series about finding abandoned buildings that have some sort of media call back to them. Much like you did with Sunrise Mall and The Legend of Billie Jean. Personally, I love hearing the history behind places and seeing how they've changed over time, as well as the lore that's sprung from them. It's just fascinating. :3
I LOVED Daniel Cohen books when I was a kid too Dan! I didn't believe any of it either, but it was definitely interesting/terrifying when I was a kid. I'm pretty sure I was the only kid in my small elementary school checking those books out. haha.
I have a view on a cooling tower that is 7miles in the distance. It depends on the weather and preasure, how high the smoke will rise. Sometimes it even falls to the ground, sometimes it rises high in the clouds. It's cool, got my desk at the window, watching the cooling tower is like watching a lava lamp.
Pretty sure you're right about that bit of graffiti being from the '50s. It's a sketch of "Jeff" from the old comic strip "Mutt & Jeff." Out of newspaper syndication for decades now.
If your ever in Illinois you need to check out the old Joliet army ammunition plant now called midewin national tall grass prairie lots of cool things to see but go on sunday when no one is out there lots of old buildings and fire house.
Hey Dan, do you plan on visiting any abandoned places in Oklahoma sometime? If not Oklahoma, at least the Midwest. It'd be cool to see some footage of abandoned places near me :)
***** Search "Oklahoma Sunrise Motel." It used to be a motel and then got converted into an Oklahoma state prison, and then got abandoned b/c they built a better location elsewhere. Now it's an abandoned mix of a prison and motel. I've actually been there, and it's not really dangerous either.
***** There's also an abandoned 3 story mansion (4 if you count the small tower above it) and it's relatively unmarked as far as graffiti goes. No squatters either, and beautiful property. Only problem is that the mansion is infested with mold.
***** Sounds awesome! We have a lot in common. I worked for an optometrist last year and he decided to move his office into an abandoned 1950s pediatric care center. I helped renovate the place and we came across a lot of interesting things, such as a pulley elevator used to bring food from the basement up to the top floor.
I totally enjoy Wills' participation in this. It edges me out of the groove you guys had, as his replacement hasnt the individuality of Wills' intuitive, dark sarcastic tone missed of late. I know you (Dan) does not care. I mean no malice, or ill - will. lol.. "Yes dear, our tomatoes were our fecal release two years ago!" I was terrified of outhouses as a kid.. I was scared a monster was going to eat my ass if I sat on the throne in one. In the dark at night, with a flashlight .. and a roll of bathroom tissue. @11:56 that appendage may be from an alpaca, or donkey. Legendary video, thanks Dan.
Dan you should do one on the Carpenter's Knob Monster in Cleaveland County NC. It's supposed to be a bigfoot like creature. Don't know if you have ever heard of it. It's kind of a local legend around there.
I was told by some older people who were supposed to be knowledgable on the area when it was in operation. They told me that the TNT area was its own lil city. No one in no one out.
Hey, where's Brian's link? I love that "Film It" where Brian comes around the corner, all of the sudden and you ask him, Where did you come from?" One of your best CRF. You should do a Blair Witch trilogy.
Anyway, you guys should go look for the Brown Mountain lights in North Carolina! That would be awesomely creepy! And who knows, maybe you'd actually capture them on camera!
I'd love a CRF of that place with all the toys that the psychic used to live in, & that one house with all the flies...Or did you already do a CRF of that? & was that the same house with the burnt kitchen & a hole in thje bathroom? Guess I need to rewatch them all.
Loved the video. I've always been fascinated by the Mothman story, even if I'm not quite sure that I actually believe it. Do you know when they tore down the TnT building? I watched a documentary a few years ago where some guys were trying to find the Mothman and they went inside a large building that I thought was the famed TNT building, but you guys said it's not there anymore.
Not in a million years would I do this. lol. Dan ... What do you think explains what people were seeing? ... since, no, kinda doubting there was a Moth Man. I've heard a few theories but I don't think an owl could scare people so badly. Would love for you guys to come up and do some exploring in N. New England.
Looking on google earth it looks like there is some kind of dirt track near there. Maybe the truck noises were some people partaking in a late night offroading session. Sounds unlikely, but hey maybe. Alcohol too is a hell of a drug.
I saw the mothman one night on my porch. He kept bumping into the wall. I turned off the porch light and he went away.
give this guy an award
I applaud you XD
well played!
Ow. Ow. Ow. Ow. Ow. Ow. Oh it's dark.
I don't believe that you saw him because the sightings have ended.

+Mvteo
Holy Land would be such an awesome place for Dan Bell to record in 4k with commentary... I never seen that Sanatorium before but hell ya... there is a lot of crazy places in CT. Too bad Undercliff in Meriden was torn down, that place was creepy as hell.

This was great to listen to while I was eating dinner until I had a mental image of you two making out by the river. Thanks for the shout out too!
You sir are a total piece of shit
I thought they were great! You guys are hysterical when you do these. Keep up the great work I look forward to seeing the next one. As for the Jersey devil wow that would be cool since I live here in dirty Jersey.
I live for cutting room floor. You guys commentary is hilarious and I love hearing about the whole experience.
The Mothman cooks the best ice.
Nooooo.... That would be METHman & he flies too! So, easy mistake. 😲
i love the commentary from both of you. new guy adds something to the channel.
Nice job Dan. Honestly I like the commentary better because the stories are more interesting to me
I've been listening to you guys for ever.
I fall asleep listening to you!

Jersey Devil.......Jersey Devil........Jersey Devil!!! The Pinelands are pretty creepy at night too!! 👻
Pine Barrens is also a great Sopranos episode directed by Steve Buscemi.
Hats off Dan...You have some real talent and do a great job on these videos.
The trilogy, and I love you so.
I love ya Dan! And you too Will! Watch your vids religiously, even got them in a special RUclips playlist called The Best of This is Dan Bell.

You should do the above ground cemeteries in New Orleans
Hey Dan & Will, you guys have to do the jersey devil. I'm glad you haven't been running around alone, it freaks me out when you do. Stay safe guys!!
Amazing trilogy you guys made!
cmon how do people not want to watch these videos? Love em all Dan
good evening gentlemen thank you that was awesome I enjoyed the Chit Chat and the humor crazy
I could listen to you two for hours :)
Just subscribed love the supernatural type videos!
I think that place looks absolutely terrifying; you guys got balls of big steel
Flatwoods monster or Jersey Devil would be awesome! Or maybe the Hopkinsville creatures.
holy crap you two are a hoot LOL good grief
loved this obviously
You guys should do a split screen of the video and of you both talking about it. That would be great.
As a person from NJ, I'd like to see your point of view and thoughts on the Jersey Devil.
He doesn't believe in it, but he can make a good video about it.
+Cynthia Simpson yeah I don't believe it either but I'd be interested to see the video he would make on it.
I LOVED Daniel Cohen books when I was a kid too Dan! I didn't believe any of it either, but it was definitely interesting/terrifying when I was a kid. I'm pretty sure I was the only kid in my small elementary school checking those books out. haha.
The ecplore of the Jersey Devil would be cool. Another place I was wondering if you and Will would explore if u haven't already is Harper's ferry Wv.
Have you guys ever heard of Centralia, PA? Definitely worth checking out for the channel.
+PurityofEssence Its lost some of its charm now that they 'allow' 4 wheelers all thru the place. Theres always a bunch of people there too.
These are really fun to watch!
I love your videos so interesting
Other than that, why not explore creepy roads, like NJ's Clinton Rd., Splitrock Rd. and Shades of Death Rd./Ghost Lake
coming to Florida soon? we have a town here called Cassadaga, its beautiful and has a long history and home mediums and psychics.
U r SO funny Dan Bell!! "If u want to see the video without our comentary...just click...oh never mind! Just go find it!" Hilarious!! Haha

i was laughing along with you guys at the i feel inadequate part lol

I love this series, seriously. Would make a great podcast even without the footage.
The Jersey Devil! Yes!! Could you possibly get more XFiles??? :D
I totally enjoy Wills' participation in this.
It edges me out of the groove you guys had, as his replacement hasnt the individuality of Wills' intuitive, dark sarcastic tone missed of late.
I know you (Dan) does not care.
I mean no malice, or ill - will. lol..

Hey Dan. You and Will better get some Rest.....or More Coffee.....Ha!! Thanks.
We enjoyed your commentary!!

13:46 we called those things Stonehenge. For 10-15 years maybe few more nothing would grow there it was like wasteland just dirt.
I was told by some older people who were supposed to be knowledgable on the area when it was in operation. They told me that the TNT area was its own lil city. No one in no one out.
FLATWOODS! ABSOLUTELY!
I'll say it's been abandoned for a long time when vines have time to grow into the windows :-) LOL!
The "Devils Tramping Ground" in North Carolina ...Haven't heard of it in awhile.
Hey, where's Brian's link? I love that "Film It" where Brian comes around the corner, all of the sudden and you ask him, Where did you come from?" One of your best CRF. You should do a Blair Witch trilogy.
your vids are awesome!!
indeed :)
What bunker will you not be in..Lol funny another cool video
Great one
your videos are awesome!
Go for it! Jersey Devil or whatever. It will be fun.
You guys should go down to Louisiana and look in the areas where people have reported dogmen
Dan, this place you speak of with your parents. Was it on a little island on the Ohio River?
You know horror game (and some movie) protagonists wish they had a flashlight that nice.
8:40 The mothman's one red eye, wow I can't believe you all missed this
Flatwoods! Flatwoods! Flatwoods! Please do the monster next!
Is someone having band practise in the background? ;)
Please do the Jersey Devil area! You guys are amazing
the jersey devil would be very cool
i know its been done like crazy but did you ever consider bachelors grove in midlothian Illinois?
Anyway, you guys should go look for the Brown Mountain lights in North Carolina! That would be awesomely creepy! And who knows, maybe you'd actually capture them on camera!
We have a cabin that still has an old school dirt outhouse. It still works ;)
I'd love a CRF of that place with all the toys that the psychic used to live in, & that one house with all the flies...Or did you already do a CRF of that? & was that the same house with the burnt kitchen & a hole in thje bathroom? Guess I need to rewatch them all.
That drawing on the wall looks like it's from an old comic strip called, "Beetle Bailey"... About a sad sack type of character from the fifties..
That looks like the General in charge of Beetles platoon.
I was thinking more like Mutt and Jeff
Lol , keep. Making this creepy videos Dan and will, it's so entertaining
They are both nice views. The plant and will. Lol.
Please make a video on the Jersey Devil that would awesome.
Oooh! Flatwoods monster!
Loved the video. I've always been fascinated by the Mothman story, even if I'm not quite sure that I actually believe it. Do you know when they tore down the TnT building? I've heard a few theories but I don't think an owl could scare people so badly.
Would love for you guys to come up and do some exploring in N. New England.
I'm surprised you haven't attempted to do a Hell House video, that place is a central Maryland Legend!
Ya'll are hilarious!!
How about maybe the Dover Demon from Massachusetts. Im from Mass so it would be cool to see it.
Flatwoods would be a good one!
Looking on google earth it looks like there is some kind of dirt track near there. Maybe the truck noises were some people partaking in a late night offroading session. Sounds unlikely, but hey maybe. Alcohol too is a hell of a drug.
The crank ladies work for the tourism board.
